“Favorite Salvadorean cuisine. My favorite meal is the "yuca con chicharrón," which is fried yucca root and pork crackling (rinds). This also includes shredded cabbage in the center as a side. I recommend reheating in an oven for better taste and texture.My second favorite meal is the chicken sandwich, which includes fries. It's about 8", has some lettuce and mayo in it. Pretty tasty. Same as above for reheating.My favorite sides are red beans or "pupusa revuelta." Pupusas are probably a transliteration of "pupus" or "pu-pu platters," which are similar to "tapas." These are bite-sized entrees or platters, but in this case, it is a fried, corn meal, pancake-like item similar to a 'tamal' in that it is corn-based, but it is flat and round and filled with either cheese, beans, or a combination of both (revuelta).Lastly, no meal comes with a drink included, but you can choose soft drinks, water, beer, coconut water, "horchata" or "jugo de marañón" (cashew juice). Horchata is the name of several kinds of beverages, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley, tigernuts, or melon seeds (in this case, it's a powdered mix). Jugo de marañon is cashew juice, a light sweet juice somewhat similar to guava juice and almond milk combined.Prices are very, very reasonable as is the quality of food. However, I cannot guarantee the best customer service. This does not deter my 5-star rating because I enjoy the food, not the people.Lastly, there is music videos or live fútbol (soccer) usually playing on about 3-4 TVs. There is a restroom for men and women, bit the women's restroom requires a key, which you obtain from the counter up front. They also sell pastries of central American style.“

The waffle tasted incredibly fresh, and the pistachio kunafa flavor had the perfect crunch without being overly sweet—really well balanced. The hazelnut ice cream was rich and delicious as well.

Portion-wise, I do feel the second scoop could be slightly more generous for the price, but the quality definitely makes up for it.

I usually can’t finish desserts, but this one was so good I ate the entire thing. Would absolutely come back again!“

“Consistently delicious! Normally, I just go for the cookies, cronuts, and petit fours. This time we tried all things savory. We were invited to a German Christmas Market Themed party — very specific I know… Since it was a potluck, we decided to make currywurst. Heidelberg’s brats for the recipe were so good. We also grabbed their huge soft pretzel (yum) and their curry spread (double yum). Whether you go sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Love this bakery!“

“The best little bakery you could ask for and it’s right in my neighborhood. This could be a problem. Maybe if I walk there I can burn enough calories to justify a daily cinnamon roll. And time my arrival as Max is pulling them out of the oven. Because they are sooo good. Also try the baguettes, croissants, and various pastries that seem to randomly roll out throughout the morning. Note: if you want a fat Cinnabon, go to the mall. These are cinnamon rolls with a moist, barely baked center. Apparently not everyone is a fan of the sweet gooey center. “When this place is good it is excellent but there are times when the food and experience are just a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the French toast or bacon will be dried out or like it's been sitting for a little bit under the light but when it hits it really is the best. I've rated it four stars just because consistency is so critically important with a restaurant and we often debate if we're even gonna go because we know when it's not great it's just not worth it especially for the cost.

I will also say the atmosphere itself is fine and what you'd expect. It's at least very clean, which is important. Our favorite items are:
- the French toast
- the biscuits in general
- the fact that they have kids' portions and options for some of these“

I’ve had Ethiopian food a couple of times and do believe their food is better. My wife got awaze tibs, while I got the special kitfo, a tar tar style dish. My wife’s was wonderful and I’m sure mine was good as well, but I know tar tar is not for me. Bottom line, if you’re interested in trying Ethiopian food, this would be a great experience.“
