“Favorite Salvadorean cuisine. My favorite meal is the "yuca con chicharrón," which is fried yucca root and pork crackling (rinds). This also includes shredded cabbage in the center as a side. I recommend reheating in an oven for better taste and texture.My second favorite meal is the chicken sandwich, which includes fries. It's about 8", has some lettuce and mayo in it. Pretty tasty. Same as above for reheating.My favorite sides are red beans or "pupusa revuelta." Pupusas are probably a transliteration of "pupus" or "pu-pu platters," which are similar to "tapas." These are bite-sized entrees or platters, but in this case, it is a fried, corn meal, pancake-like item similar to a 'tamal' in that it is corn-based, but it is flat and round and filled with either cheese, beans, or a combination of both (revuelta).Lastly, no meal comes with a drink included, but you can choose soft drinks, water, beer, coconut water, "horchata" or "jugo de marañón" (cashew juice). Horchata is the name of several kinds of beverages, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley, tigernuts, or melon seeds (in this case, it's a powdered mix). Jugo de marañon is cashew juice, a light sweet juice somewhat similar to guava juice and almond milk combined.Prices are very, very reasonable as is the quality of food. However, I cannot guarantee the best customer service. This does not deter my 5-star rating because I enjoy the food, not the people.Lastly, there is music videos or live fútbol (soccer) usually playing on about 3-4 TVs. There is a restroom for men and women, bit the women's restroom requires a key, which you obtain from the counter up front. They also sell pastries of central American style.“

We had the pleasure of meeting the regional manager, who was warm, friendly, and truly wonderful. The entire team went above and beyond. They came from behind the counter to introduce themselves, took the time to engage with our children, and made us feel like valued guests instead of just customers. The desserts were absolutely scrumptious and unlike anything we've ever had. We were especially grateful that they offered delicious plant based options, which made the experience even better. This wasn't just a stop for dessert. It was an experience we'll always remember. We will definitely be back, and we hope they remember us because we certainly won't forget them. I wanted to update my review because I felt it was important to recognize Mr. Joseph and Ms. Anita. They are two of the kindest, most pleasant people I have met in a long time. My family and I were truly grateful for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine consideration of our dietary needs. They work incredibly well together, run the business with excellence, and create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was an absolute joy spending time with them, and they made our entire experience even more memorable. They are a true asset to this establishment, and we look forward to seeing them again. They are absolutely worth sitting in traffic for.“

“Consistently delicious! Normally, I just go for the cookies, cronuts, and petit fours. This time we tried all things savory. We were invited to a German Christmas Market Themed party — very specific I know… Since it was a potluck, we decided to make currywurst. Heidelberg’s brats for the recipe were so good. We also grabbed their huge soft pretzel (yum) and their curry spread (double yum). Whether you go sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Love this bakery!“

Note: if you want a fat Cinnabon, go to the mall. These are cinnamon rolls with a moist, barely baked center. Apparently not everyone is a fan of the sweet gooey center. “Got the breakfast plate (forgot the name already, sorry) with biscuit, eggs, meat choice (I got thick cut bacon) and 2 hash browns. Damn was that good. I normally don't love thick cut bacon so thick that it's chewy, but it was like pork belly consistency, and damn good. Hash browns were nice and crispy and golden brown, eggs were cooked perfectly, biscuit was delicious with some of their honey butter and blueberry preserves. And the cashier/server who took our order, she was great and super helpful. (Sorry I didn't get a name, I'm doing great on memory today lol) Will definitely be stopping by again here soon.“
