“Couldn’t recommend it more, must visit if you’re passing through the neighborhood like I was. Got a pineapple cream amman (one of the specials) and it was super fresh, with bright flavors and great balance. I also got a Vietnamese coffee which was just as good—rich, sweet, and STRONG. Fabulous!
The service was great too, super nice people and the line moved pretty quick for a busy Sunday morning.“

“This was my first time trying their cookie. I was told by someone that they were too sweet. I tried their oatmeal cookie with raisin and it was delicious. One of the best cookies I've ever had. It was not too sweet at all. Full of flavor , crispy on the outside and chewie on the inside. Unfortunately I didn't get to try other flavors so I can't comment on them but I look forward next time I get a chance.“

“We’ve always loved Baked & Wired’s goods, and we knew they would make the perfect cake for our wedding day. Of course, they delivered. Baked & Wired was very easy to work with and the cake was just right! Our guests loved it, and we can’t wait to eat the last slice on our one year anniversary!“

“Adorable little bakery tucked into an alleyway in Union Market. They're in the middle of the alley and impossible to spot (unless, as there often is, there's a line out the door), so it can feel a little sketchy to walk aimlessly through a random alleyway, but Bread Alley makes the walk super cute with a lovely string of arrows pointing you to their gorgeous black brick and wooden storefront.
They don't have a full-time cashier, so if you get to Bread Alley during one of their off-peak hours, you have to knock or ring the bell and wait for one of their bakers to come open the door for you. Once they do, you'll be welcomed into a cozy little shopping area with just a cash register, small pastry case (which just includes a few exemplary pastries -- the rest are in the back), and a wall of various types of bread. I didn't end up grabbing one of their breads, but I'll definitely have to make my way back for them; the harissa black sesame sourdough looked incredibly enticing, but I just, unfortunately, didn't have a need for a full loaf of bread at the time. However, I was in the mood for a sweet treat and decided to get a classic pain au chocolat. They don't have an indoor seating space, given their relatively barebones front-end, so I just ate my croissant as I walked home. It was a beautiful croissant, with a gorgeous lamination inside and nice glossy finish. It was a smidge too doughy for my taste, as I generally prefer really light and airy croissants, but it was still delicious.“

“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

“My two kids and I go here almost ever Sunday. The croissants are a huge hit with the kids and I'm obsessed with their Farro Salad (the dressing is very similar to mole sauce). Lattes are quite delicious as well.
Pricing is surprisingly reasonable for Georgetown which is a nice plus.
I really wish they would open a location at the Village Green in Crofton, MD. It would be a huge hit there and I have family that would like to see it there.
Some weekends it just gets too busy but I've only decided to give up once or twice. The host is honest about the wait (if there is one) - up to you if can handle the wait they give you.
Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu and offerings BUT we tend to just pick pastries from the counter. This is the better way to go because it is about all they can eat and there is always some decadent morsel for me to hoover up when they get full.“

“We couldn’t resist! Everything was delicious and unique! My son’s favorite was the strawberry cream filled pastry and mine are the black sesame bun (not pictured, devoured) and the tahini cookie AND the truffle and ham pastry. Parking at the National Building Museum where their pop-up is was easy! Seriously, you’ve GOT to give their pastries a try!“

“Excellent baked goods! We get stollen each Christmas, it’s a 30+ year tradition in our family. Several years ago, our favorite bakery we ordered our stollen from closed. Since then, we have tried various bakeries. Unfortunately, none have been as good…until now. Ravenhook Bakehouse stollen is the BEST we have had. It has outstanding texture and the amount of fruit is perfect. The figs were a nice surprise. Additionally, we also had the pecan bars, as well as iced Christmas and gingerbread men cookies They, too, were delicious. The pecan bars crust had the buttery goodness you want from a pecan bar, but weren’t greasy as some can be. The pecan filling was perfect. The gingerbread cookie had the amount of ginger you look for in this classic holiday treat. The iced Christmas cookies were classic in the best way.
We placed our Christmas treats order online and picked them up at the DuPont Circle Farmers Market - it was so easy. Additionally, Ravenhook has friendly customer service. I called with a few questions and the baker was extremely helpful.
We look forward to sampling more Ravenhook baked goods in 2025!“

“The food was delicious, we were 9 people, everything we ordered was delicious. They don't accept reservations, the lines to order are long but the wait is worth it.
I don't give it 5 stars because the bathrooms were disgusting.“

“Man oh man where do I begin. I'm a New Yorker but I spend some weekends in DC. I've had plenty of Call Your Mother bagels. I enjoy Bagels Etc. But Pop's just does it right. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and plentiful. The bacon is perfectly cooked and generously stacked. The pesto cream cheese is a delicious and unique add to any savory sandwich. The brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese (?) turns a plain bagel into a decadent mid-day treat. The bagels are a little less dense than a New York bagel, but still thicker than a Cali bagel. I could just go on and on but I went to this place with no expectations and left completely floored. I'm on a bus back to New York right now and I am thinking about how I will actually really miss their bacon egg and cheese with pesto. Anyways come here, spend money here, buy their merch, leave a tip, and have a great rest of your day.“

“The flavor and presentation of chai matched the service and atmosphere: beyond expectations. This is a cozy spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The barista crafted a chai to suit my preferences (it's an inhouse blend!) I didn't get any nibbles but they looked delicious.“

“They have a gluten free bagel that was pretty good! Not a big fluffy bagel but thr flavor was good. I asked if it was toasted on the same spot as the normal bagels and she told me it's toasted in a bag. The chai was alright, a little sweet for my taste.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bagel“
