“This place is a neighborhood classic. They keep the prices low (by Arlington standards) and the decor is awesome "mom's kitchen throwback". May it never, never change. I don't love everything they make, but since they make about 87,000 different things, you can find something. Their emphasis is old style German baking with Christian and Jewish calendar seasonal flourishes. This is, for instance, the first place I ever had a "hot cross bun"-- like in the children's poems. (They had them for Easter). And they have a great sandwich bar where I always get egg salad. The quiches are good too. They have coffee and real German sausages that look delicious too. And a nice seating area in front of a huge window. There's always room. So basically, you could spend all day here eating, drinking coffee, reading, looking out the window, and planning your next meal. That would be a great day. (PS: parking is annoying but do-able)“
“This place is a community. Come in the morning and observe local Ethiopians getting together for coffee and meals. What a place!Staff is friendly. Barista serve flavorful coffee using Ethiopian beans and in high volume. When they offer to coat it bombolino in sugar, take it. Prices are affordable as well!Next visit I'll have to try their food. Only had enough time for coffee and sweets today.“
“Best pie in the DMV! Sol Schott is a talented baker who isn't afraid to craft new recipes. His Belgium waffle-topped mixed berry pie is amazing... a custard-soaked waffle baked on top of a pie! So unique. He also has all the favorites... apple pie in many varieties, key lime, sour cherry, and decadent chess pies and quiches. The shop is small and fun to visit... eat your pie at the bar or play the vintage pinball machines. Love it!“
“A solid baked goods shop. Great customer service. They had three section:outdoor seating area, indoor seating and your typical order and lay set up. My experience at the spot was brief. I order a bagel with cream and cheese. They just have one option for cream cheese( original), no option for toasted, and you have to prepare it in your own( spread the cream cheese). The place looked pretty busy for a Friday mid-morning. I may come here again to try their other selection besides the pastries.“
“Stopped by here with my sister and ordered a pork and cheese popusa and the Guatemalan style steak, which came with Pico, avocado, rice, beans, 2 tortillas, and a cheese whose name eludes me but was delicious. Everything was fantastic. The portions were generous, the tortillas were made in house and delicious, and the steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. All together, it was about $20 which was a bargain for the quantity and quality. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere is great. I will be coming back. I've been to tons of south American places and I can say this is one of my favorites. I will definitely be coming back“
“Great spot to pick up some sweet treats. But their coffee is not the best... The interior ambiance is very clean, simple, and pretty to the eye. The service here is great and the staff are all nice. I would recommend this spot more for snacks/ food/ treats, than coffee.“
“We literally just flew back from New Orleans, and immediately longing NOLA's cuisine. We drove all the way from Baltimore in a rainstorm because of the crazed reviews. The reviewers stated that you MUST try the spiced cider, biscuit breakfast sandwich, deviled eggs, and the king cake. I opted for the biscuit breakfast sandwich, spicy potatoes, and spiced apple cider. WOW, just wow--the biscuit breakfast sammy was celestial. I wish I would have ordered two. Clean unisex bathrooms. If you plan to order beignets, don't wear black or dark clothing. Service is only at the counter due to the order grab and sit system. Self-bus dining style. Easy parking across the street which if you come on the weekends, after you eat or grab coffee at Bayou, you can skip over to the Arlington Farmer's Market.“
“A great, casual, local cafe and bakery with amazing pastries. We keep trying new things on the menu every time we go and everything so far has been delicious. There are good savoury and sweet options such as the smoked salmon croissant and the brioche donut. You can also grab whole cakes and small gifts if you’re entertaining at home. The staff have always been friendly and helpful whenever we have been there. The cafe has a laidback atmosphere - I often see people working or catching up in there.“
“This shop is very unsuspecting... My friends and I were on our way to another bakery when we walked past Bakeshop- we didn't think much of as it was a small and cozy shop; but I am so glad we tried it. They offered a lot of non-basic flavors for macarons, and a lot of cupcake options. They also offered cookie sandwiches as well. Taro Macaron: 3.8 of 5 - it tasted "sweet with a hint of taro" Pandan Macaron: 5 of 5 - I loved this macaron so much, the taste of the Pandan really came through with each bite I highly recommend checking out this bakeshop; I would definitely come back for their Pandan and to try other macarons!“
“Split a few breakfast items and a cherry pie from Livin the Pie Life with a friend today. Older reviews show an interior with seating and a coffee setup— please note that this business no longer offers any beverages nor tables! We drove our delicious take-out order to the nearby Compass Coffee location to enjoy. And we did enjoy them very much! 5/5 for food and service, knocked one star for atmosphere.“
“Super cute cafe! I didn't realize it was inside of the Ted's Bulletin. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte was delicious with pieces of the actual cereal in it. The sidekicks were good as well, 2 is a great breakfast but they need some sort of sauce!! Like an aioli or mayo idk. Cashier was nice!“
“My son and I drove a total 45 minutes to get to this location, and thanks to Marco, it was all worth it. We left a late dinner in DC to drive 30 minutes to the Foggy Bottom location. They didn’t have six of the more popular cookies (including chocolate chip, confetti, and snickerdoodle)!. After being told at that location that it would be 30 to 45 minutes before any new chocolate chip were ready, we decided to go to the Arlington location for the first time. We drove there hoping for the best.No wait, fresh cookies, coming out as soon as we walked in, and Marco delivering excellent service made us want to get even more cookies and ice cream than we had planned on.We ate inside, Marco was a great host, and when we return, it will be to this location. Thanks Marco!“
“Village Sweet has been such a joy to work with on custom cookie orders. I have used them for years and they have kindly created artistic and tasty cookies for our special occasions. They are talented, responsive and creative. Highly recommend!“
“We had our gender reveal cake made here and it was absolutely everything we hoped for! They did it exactly how it was requested and we couldn’t be happier with how our gender reveal went. Cake was delicious, would recommend! Thank you Pastries by Randolph for the wonderful experience <3“
