“Consistently delicious! Normally, I just go for the cookies, cronuts, and petit fours. This time we tried all things savory. We were invited to a German Christmas Market Themed party — very specific I know… Since it was a potluck, we decided to make currywurst. Heidelberg’s brats for the recipe were so good. We also grabbed their huge soft pretzel (yum) and their curry spread (double yum). Whether you go sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Love this bakery!“

“Overall good food. You can tell it’s a favorite for people because of the crowd. Service was very welcoming, with a very casual atmosphere. You can tell people go for the food. I’ve had Ethiopian food a couple of times and do believe their food is better. My wife got awaze tibs, while I got the special kitfo, a tar tar style dish. My wife’s was wonderful and I’m sure mine was good as well, but I know tar tar is not for me. Bottom line, if you’re interested in trying Ethiopian food, this would be a great experience.“

“Just found the place today. This is, without exaggeration or hyperbole, the best chicken pot pie I have ever had in my entire life. And THEN we had the Tart Cherry with flaky crust for dessert - if it’s not the best I’ve ever had, it’s in the top 3. WOW.“

“On a Saturday morning in DC, we tried breakfast here, including lattes, butter croissants, almond croissants, and brownies. All the items were excellent. However, the service was the low point of this shop. I’ve never seen such slow coffee preparation anywhere. While one lady was making our four lattes, the first two became cold. It’s a shame, given how good the baked items are!“

“Village Sweets did an amazing job on cupcakes and a large cookie kit for my daughter’s birthday. They were so fast with communication, even after I changed my mind a couple times. They were so accommodating! And everything was beautiful and delicious. The cookie kit was a huge hit! They even opened the shop early so I could pick everything up on time. Amazing. Would buy again! Would recommend to a friend!“

“Jackson who is the mgr. is why I'm giving a 5 star service. I ordered a slice of mocha cake &a slice of green tea cake. I discovered the girl didn't give me the green tea cake, instead a different cake. When I called about it Jackson was very gracious &accomodating &offered 2 green tea cakes at no charge. The cakes and pastries are fresh & delicious &I will continue to visit often.“

“Randomly discovered this place while walking around the area and now I understand why it always seems busy. The menu isn’t huge, but everything looks carefully prepared instead of rushed. I tried their iced espresso drink and a slice of red velvet cake around lunchtime. The cake was moist without tasting overly sugary, which is rare lately. There was a short wait because only one register was open, but employees kept things moving and stayed friendly with everyone in line. Good balance between cozy cafe and practical work spot.“

“This place isn't open on Sundays, but I forgive them. The pastry here is lovingly made with extreme attention to detail. Cream puff swans? Macarons? Croissant? tartes? volcano cake? and on and on and on and it's soooo hard to choose just one. The staff are friendly and patient, and package up your selection as if it is a newborn baby. Really great place to treat yourself, OR to get something special for someone - including celebration cakes“

“On check in the place was really busy with busloads of kids also waiting for their rooms. At one point I asked the front desk staff if we would be on a floor with the teens as our last experience at a Marriott in the area was not good and I didn’t want a repeat of the same sort of experience. That couldn’t be guaranteed as the kids were pretty much located on every floor. Nothing against kids or teens at all, we had our own teenager and a baby with us. Front desk staff was apologetic for the delay in check in and gave us a discount on parking. We didn’t ask for it, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. The hotel was quiet and the only issue we found was that the breakfast area was quite busy due to lots of hungry teens in the morning, all of whom I should add were very polite and respectful. I would consider staying here again on future trips.“

“In the shopping center they have a store on the first and third floors, we placed the order on the third and then we went to the food court so we could sit down to eat, because there is no place to do so in the other store. We had doubts about what to buy, I consulted, at first I didn't know but I let myself be understood but then he explained to us well. The flavor of the hot dog bites is very rich, addictive and the sweet ones, with sugar and cinnamon, are not far behind, they are tasty. The flavored lemonade that was ordered, that feels artificial.“

“I think this is an acquired taste for sure! Just because I don’t personally think the cookies are worth $3.50-$4 doesn’t mean others won’t! I’m giving 4 stars because I think the cookies are definitely overpriced. 🍪 The staff are kind, the place is clean, and the ambiance is great. “Wow!! They just opened up in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. I got one fresh out of the oven, hot but not too hot dripping with frosting. What a great treat!“

“I was pleasantly surprised how amazing these cookies are ..you do have to wait a bit at first seemed confusing to get to since there’s no vivid sign up top. We got the classic and the cookies were hot and ready so take a little bit of time maybe less than five minutes for them to cool but so good and worth it.“

“The best Saltenas in the area! We have tried all 13 Bolivian restaurants in the general area and this Pan American bakery is the best in flavor- not too spicy, not too sweet.
The grande cheese Empanadas are wonderful (especially if you stuff them with chicken salad when you get home- a totally southern American add to these South American delicacies!)
Creators of one of my all-time favorite sandwiches!!! Yes- their simpler house chicken sandwich- the seasoned Saltena meat on a bun with all the fixins’ makes an amazing meal!
In summer the cinnamon ice cream is delicious and the cakes, pastries and soups are always great.“
