“We visited Washington DC to enjoy the Cherry Blossom. Even though it was almost time to close, we were accommodated. We were all hungry, so there were lots to order. I admired the staff patience with us all. The food and drinks were great. Highly recommended.“
“My friend had her baby shower upstairs, and I fell in love with the place. I’d driven by it many times, but had never gone in. I was surprised by how cozy and welcoming the space was. There was a ton of meter parking right out front. The woman who helped us plan the shower was Kelly. She is AMAZING! She was sooo helpful and very professional. I made sure to save her info for our next event! Wonderful experience all around.“
“This place is a neighborhood classic. They keep the prices low (by Arlington standards) and the decor is awesome "mom's kitchen throwback". May it never, never change. I don't love everything they make, but since they make about 87,000 different things, you can find something. Their emphasis is old style German baking with Christian and Jewish calendar seasonal flourishes. This is, for instance, the first place I ever had a "hot cross bun"-- like in the children's poems. (They had them for Easter). And they have a great sandwich bar where I always get egg salad. The quiches are good too. They have coffee and real German sausages that look delicious too. And a nice seating area in front of a huge window. There's always room. So basically, you could spend all day here eating, drinking coffee, reading, looking out the window, and planning your next meal. That would be a great day. (PS: parking is annoying but do-able)“
“It’s official. SEOULSPICE is our kpop dance team’s new post-practice eating spot. It’s decorated so cutely inside and the food was great! We were served by Destiny, who treated us with the warmest energy and like we were best friends. Cannot recommend this location enough. Will 1000% be going back ASAP!“
“This is the first review I have written for a restaurant because I had never received such excellent service.I ordered an egg white omelette with ham and cheese. The omelette was okay. The service was top-notch . My server Sylvana was great! I drank a lot of water, and she kept my glass full. My food was correct and FAST.Speed: checkAccuracy: checkFriendliness: checkI do have one piece of constructive criticism: clean the floors more.Parking: You need to get your ticket validated.“
“A solid baked goods shop. Great customer service. They had three section:outdoor seating area, indoor seating and your typical order and lay set up. My experience at the spot was brief. I order a bagel with cream and cheese. They just have one option for cream cheese( original), no option for toasted, and you have to prepare it in your own( spread the cream cheese). The place looked pretty busy for a Friday mid-morning. I may come here again to try their other selection besides the pastries.“
“This place is outstanding! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable price, incredible beer selection! The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helps us pick out what we loved. We had salads and pizza. Very fresh ingredients. And we got to help some lucky local dogs and cats. A win!“
“We literally just flew back from New Orleans, and immediately longing NOLA's cuisine. We drove all the way from Baltimore in a rainstorm because of the crazed reviews. The reviewers stated that you MUST try the spiced cider, biscuit breakfast sandwich, deviled eggs, and the king cake. I opted for the biscuit breakfast sandwich, spicy potatoes, and spiced apple cider. WOW, just wow--the biscuit breakfast sammy was celestial. I wish I would have ordered two. Clean unisex bathrooms. If you plan to order beignets, don't wear black or dark clothing. Service is only at the counter due to the order grab and sit system. Self-bus dining style. Easy parking across the street which if you come on the weekends, after you eat or grab coffee at Bayou, you can skip over to the Arlington Farmer's Market.“
“This shop is very unsuspecting... My friends and I were on our way to another bakery when we walked past Bakeshop- we didn't think much of as it was a small and cozy shop; but I am so glad we tried it. They offered a lot of non-basic flavors for macarons, and a lot of cupcake options. They also offered cookie sandwiches as well. Taro Macaron: 3.8 of 5 - it tasted "sweet with a hint of taro" Pandan Macaron: 5 of 5 - I loved this macaron so much, the taste of the Pandan really came through with each bite I highly recommend checking out this bakeshop; I would definitely come back for their Pandan and to try other macarons!“
“Cute outdoor seating that has some of the best dessert crepes I've ever tasted. They also have Polish food, but I found it underwhelming.Perfect place to eat outdoors when the weather is nice. They have tap pay and you order and pay up front. They don't serve to table but you pick it up from the table outside or the front, if eating indoors.“
“I’m a pizza snob, I’m owning it! A native from Chicago and I like to try pizza whenever I go. New York pizza is good, but this Extreme Pizza was amazing!!! Of course it’s not comparable to Chicago deep dish, so adjust your expectations but keep them high because Extreme’s pizza was delicious, fresh, hot, chewy crush and went all the way to the edge. Yes, I ate the entire individual pizza. Owning that too! It would be a shame if you were in Crystal City and didn’t stop here for a quick bite. Staff were great and price was good considering this is DC-area, so nothing else could beat great food, service and affordable!!! What else could you ask for! Oh, did you notice they have a 4-page beer menu, hello - amazing!!! Who else does that??? Bon appetite!“
“I was looking for a place to have lunch and found this place. Extreme Pizza is extremely delicious and friendly. It was extremely clean and affordable. I recommend anyone give this place a try. I got a byo indee (individual pizza) with Canadian bacon and black olives.“
“If You Want the French Toast... Call in AdvanceDon't get me wrong, I love Busboys and Poets but my most recent visits have been lackluster. The vibe is still good. The food is still good but the service has come to a screeching halt at least at this location.I was recently there on a Friday night and then Sunday morning. I recommended it to two different guests we were hosting because they wanted to meet my mother. The food was excellent on Friday (if you haven't had the catfish that's the dish to get) but the service was super slow. Yes, the place was busy but I was surprised because I haven't experienced this before at Busboys and Poets. On Sunday we arrived at 10AM. My mother ordered her usual Sweet Potato Hash (still need to try it sometime). The rest of us in our party ordered the french toast. I had heard it was good. The waiter then informed us that they were out of french toast. We looked at him like he must've been confused. It was only 10AM. My mother even said, "How are you out of french toast? It's bread and eggs. Harris Teeter is across the street." We all laughed and continued to joke the waiter when he came back to check in on us and asked if we needed anything else. "Yeah, some french toast." Needless to say, he got a good tip.“
“Had an amazing experience with the takeout from here. The shawarma was grilled to perfection, with spices that sang with authentic Lebanese flavor. Paired with fluffy, fragrant rice and smooth, rich hummus, each bite was a delight. The salad was fresh and zesty, and the pita bread, warm and inviting. It’s hard to find food this good outside of Lebanon. Can’t wait to go back for more!“
“Oh wow! My partner and I were just looking for a quick bite on our way through town and chose this place on a bit of a whim. What a good choice! The atmosphere was wonderful! We were greeted like friends as soon as we walked in. It was slow when we arrived and the manager waited on our table as much as anyone else and everyone was so friendly and outgoing it felt like we had met before or were regulars. The menu is *wild*. The manager immediately told us some great choices. We each ordered one of his recommendations as well as an order of fries and ?? ? they were both perfect. The sandwiches' flavors were deliciously balanced, the textures inside it were well thought out, and the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right! The decor is AMAZING. I had to keep my eyes on my partner while we were chatting because every time I glanced around I would get distracted by a new painting or section of a mural that I hadn't seen yet. 12/10 would get a sandwich from them again I'm sorry I have no food photos because I crushed tf out of that sandwich when it was placed in front of me.“
“This is my first visit, stumbled upon them while searching for a nearby deep dish pizza. Their pizzas have distinctive toppings that create delightful flavors. And the also have vegan pizzas. However, be warned: if you ask for spicy, it packs a serious punch! Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed it!“
“Village Sweet has been such a joy to work with on custom cookie orders. I have used them for years and they have kindly created artistic and tasty cookies for our special occasions. They are talented, responsive and creative. Highly recommend!“
“I live in the city but if I ever find myself within a five mile radius while running errands, I'm stopping for a mortadella sandwich. However, this is very much personal preference make sure you're cool with the toppings before ordering, it's not flavor combos you'd get at regular places. I've tried other things too but it's been too long so it wouldn't be fair to review. I always call in my order they're nice and helpful, my order is typically ready within 10-15 minutes for pick up.“
“What is MALA? It comes from Sichuan peppercorns. I don't think they're really pepper corns but some kind of dried flower bulb shell. It intensify flavor and I think the Chinese call it fragrant. Mala is my jam. It's a mouth feel that is a notch above flavor. You know savory, sour, salty, sweet, bitter, and maybe spicy. Mala is a spicy enhancer. If you haven't tried it, give it a try. These folks do a great job. I had the obligatory dan dan noodles and diced chicken. Are there better in town, maybe one other that I won't mention BUT still very good here. If you have a complex palate, give it a try. Don't come here if you like hospital cafeteria pizza. You won't like it.“
“I want to give a big “Thank You” to Josh Coffman (Manager). There was an issue with my order and he delivered it personally to my residence. It was not the restaurant’s fault, it was the delivery service I chose that made the error. So I am definitely a fan! My guests enjoyed the meal and I plan to visit the restaurant very soon. Thanks again!“
“Service could be more attentive but overall acceptable! Food is better than expected considering how many types of dishes they have (American, Spanish, Asian, European, etc). Prices are alright, portions are generous.I'd go again once in a while.Parking: Mall Parking and Costco parking“
“I hosted my Brother’s 40th birthday party this past weekend at Carlyle! I planned this party from the Hampton Roads area, which is not local. Morgan and her team were there to answer questions for me and made this the BEST experience! I had tried booking other places for this event and everything was SO complicated or expensive. I’m so thankful for the previous people who left reviews about the food because it made Carlyle an EASY choice !The atmosphere here is ELEGANT and WARM at the same time. I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant for this party. The party guests loved their meals ! (Please try the Crab CAKES OMGOSH!!)We CLEANED our plates ! Do you hear me?!!! The food was SO good! Everyone had smiles on their faces and the service was EXCELLENT! Our servers were so respectful and responsive — we had a great time ! The good people at Carlyle made my Brother’s 40th birthday dinner one to remember! Thank you Morgan and Josue for working with me and making it easy ! I WILL be back !! ❤️❤️❤️“
