“Consistently delicious! Normally, I just go for the cookies, cronuts, and petit fours. This time we tried all things savory. We were invited to a German Christmas Market Themed party — very specific I know… Since it was a potluck, we decided to make currywurst. Heidelberg’s brats for the recipe were so good. We also grabbed their huge soft pretzel (yum) and their curry spread (double yum). Whether you go sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Love this bakery!”

“Trivia specific review! Wednesday nights are trivia night and they get packed so make sure to come early to get a table. My team and I like the format and it's just hard enough that it's challenging but not ridiculously obscure questions. As for the restaurant, it's a good venue for trivia and for general happy hour hangouts. The salads and sandwiches are decent. Lots of beer options, obviously, and even some wine and cocktail items on the menu. Service is usually friendly and quick. I wish they would run their happy hour specials through 7pm which is when trivia starts, but they only go to 6pm... too early in my opinion. But it is a fun spot to geek out and play trivia.”

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. “Okay forget Starbucks and paying $7 for a boring latte. Come here- get the pistachio latte and see a work of art presenting as your new favorite coffee. Definitely will be coming back. This was SO delicious.

They also have so much variety of latte (and I happen to be a latte gal). They have Ferrero, Dubai Chocolate, Strawberry Cheesecake, Apple Pie, etc. I had a hard time choosing, but ended up picking up a classic (shoutout to the baristas being patient because I took at least 10 minutes looking through the menu).”

It’s been 10 years since I moved to Virginia, and I have to say, I love it here. That said, I do miss the beaches and the incredible food from Miami. Ever since I moved, I’ve been searching for the perfect spot—a place where both the food and the service are amazing. Let’s be honest, that’s hard to find. Often, the food is great but the service is just okay, or the service is excellent but the food falls short. When looking for a place to celebrate my wedding anniversary, a few options came up, and one of them was Sabores Tapas Bar. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it there at the time and ended up going to two other places—one was okay, the other was awful. Later, I told my wife we needed to try Sabores, maybe on New Year’s Day. Again, we ended up at a “safe” spot we like to visit. The food and service were good, but it was just our usual go-to. Fast forward to last week: my best friend from Puerto Rico came to visit with his family. He loves to eat, and his wife can be hard to please. This time, we decided to go to Sabores Tapas Bar. I’ll admit, I was nervous—I wanted them to have a great experience, but pleasing everyone is never easy. Finally, we went. What can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating. I had high expectations—growing up, my house was always full because my friends came over for my mom’s cooking. She’s an amazing cook. Mom, forgive me for saying this, but Sabores Tapas Bar is as good as, if not better than, your cooking, and the service was amazing. Wow. I’ve found the place. It’s so good that I want to go back and try dishes I normally don’t like, just to see if they can make me love them. I can’t wait to return. My taste buds have found the love of their life at Sabores Tapas Bar.”

“Ordered carry out so can only comment on the food. But the birria quesadilla was a 10/10. U can tell that the chef thought about the experience of eating it. Throughout the quesadilla there were spots of avocado where it was a fresh bite to cut through the richness of the meat. The peppers on the side were so yummy and provided an acid hit while eating the quesadilla. Haven’t had a 10/10 meal in a while!”

From taking time to make even a simple breakfast of a sausage McGriddle and hash browns look aesthetically pleasing, to ensuring that my iced coffee was properly mixed right with enough cream to have a perfect balance of taste to indulgent coffee. “I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I have been coming to Brooklyn Bagel weekly for over a decade. They have hands down the best bagels in the region, and also the best employees (I call them my bagel heroes)! Even with the recent growth of other bagel spots in the region, Brooklyn Bagel remains the best. Absolutely worth the trip! Be prepared for lines on the weekend and bring cash to pay and tip to make the experience better for everyone.”

First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.”

“My sisters and I tried Rasa for the first time and the food was very tasty, fresh, fast and nicely seasoned. Sadly, the service was very much lacking. We came in and there were 6 people behind the counter, not one person greeted us or acknowledged our presence. They were working on a big to go order at the time, but it seemed like no one was really delegating and attending to people that were actually standing in line. Finally, a guy came over to take our order and as I was asking for what I wanted, he was exasperated from the very beginning. He quickly slopped the food in the bowl, no care at all. When I asked for my sauces on the side, he rolled his eyes and then I asked for pickled onions and he grabbed my bowl and begrudgingly put them on. He did the same with my sisters orders. He was incredibly rude and if you don't want to serve people, don't work in a service job. I did like the food though! Very tasty.”

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I'm not gonna lie, I was very skeptical when I saw there was a soul food restaurant on this side of the DMV area. Most often when I see a place selling soul food in this area, my expectations are low and my disappointment is high. However, when I talked to the gentleman behind the counter while he poured a bowl of butter over the candy yams, I thought this place might have a chance. And, Lord have mercy, I was right to give this place a chance. I was not disappointed at all. It was everything soul food is supposed to be: seasoned, flavorful and unhealthy if you have high cholesterol, or blood pressure.

The owner is this local small business is customer friendly and super generous in their portion and always trying to please every order in a personal way. They always tried to accommodate any dietary restriction in addition to their healthy items in their menu. They even catering of any size with generous portion and reasonable price. Highly recommend everyone to give it a try as you won't regret it!”

Alex was the main guy. From the moment they showed up at the door, they made the process smooth and fast. They were 4 men including Alex. Very respectful to each other also. I cant speak enough how blessed we got with them. Not one broken piece, not one lost box. On top of that, they moved not only our belongings, they also put one of our cars on the truck. Kept in touch with us thru out the 3 day drive. Showed up at our new place, our car was already parked in the driveway. They covered the floors and walls for protection. Put every box and furniture in designated rooms. I know many families with so many scary stories and experiences. Lost, stolen and broken pieces and family heirlooms. Thank you Alex and crew! We could not believe that a restaurant of this quality would allow a service to bring out the main course while we were only half way through the appetizer. What does this mean? Well, in the states, it seems as though they are always trying to rush you through the meal to get the table free, but this restaurant does not have waiting lines like bonefish grill or those other type restaurants.”

“Made a reservation but was told we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. I made it clear it was unacceptable and they were able to put tables together. Typically, restaurants have that prepared for large parties, but at least they sat us within 10 minutes. The waitress was disgruntled for our party of 8 and took almost 15 minutes to get us water. The food did come out quickly and was fresh. The back doors were open on a beautiful day and we were able to enjoy the breeze. Poor first impression of the staff but once they got rolling, it was normal. The bartender was amazing and accommodated for mocktails that they didn’t have. I’d suggest having a mocktail list instead of one NA beer that they were out of. For the best experience, I’d sit at the bar or only have a party of 4 max.”

Third, savory succulents like burgers and pasta; I didn't order *this time* but will in future. It's a great new place on the hood!”
