Our table was pretty small So the table got really crowded fast! Food was pretty good, the fried fish was surprisingly my favorite. Meal ended with a dessert too. Nice touch. “We went to check out the new Padaek in Arlington after having been to the Falls Church location a few times. This one is nice, service is amazing, and the food is good. Buuuuuuttttt, it's different...I like my food spicy, and knew to order it "Lao spicy". When it arrived at the table, I could see that it just had a bunch of chilis added. This gives it a bit of spice, but is more like a level 3 out of 5. It was just lacking the heat as when ordering spicy at the other location. Obviously, they don't want to overwhelm their guests with spice, but if you're asking for that level of heat, you obviously want it. Oh well...it's good, and the flavors are tasty...but the other location feels more authentic.”

“I really enjoyed my time here. I was craving a little bit of Madrid and while trying to find a restaurant, I stumbled upon this place just a few minutes from my hotel.Right from the first encounter with the manager as I walked in, I knew I was going to like this place.Cristiano and Cristian behind the bar were great. The recommended all those amazing plates. I ended up doing a paella tapa as well as the Argentinian steak with chimichurri paired with a lovely Malbec.Remember, these are tapas, so the plates wont be giant. A couple of plates should get you to where you’d like. And the prices are very reasonable.I definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to be back in Arlington so that I can go back and see my peeps. I made friends with the staff that night. They were truly one of the best restaurant staffs out there. Thanks Sabores team for a great first encounter!Parking: They share a parking garage with the apartment building. “Thrilled to have found this place while attending a training conference nearby. I am not ashamed to say I came here for lunch every day of the week The good: the atmosphere is as good as it gets for a pub. Quiet lunch stop, Friendly staff a traditional pub menu great whiskey selection and a gorgeous mirror backed ornate wood bar display. I swapped between both the Reuben and fish sandwich all week and highly recommend either. The bad: My major complaint is that this place is too far from my house but it may be good enough that I start looking for new apartments in the area. This is what it is to the maximum degree if you are in the mood for an Irish pub I don't think you can do better.”

“We had a blast here last night at trivia! It was five rounds of 11 questions and I loved how they covered many different topics. I also appreciated using a phone app to play, which definitely helped with hearing questions when the restaurant was packed and quite lively. For food, I got the blackened mahi-mahi and brussels sprouts. The mahi-mahi was scrumptious, tender and smoky from the grill. It was served over yummy cilantro rice and creamy/zesty lemon butter sauce. Needless to say, I wiped my plate clean! The brussels sprouts was also stellar - everything crispy in it from bacon to shallots to the actual brussel sprouts. It was served with bleu cheese, which rounded out the crispy heartiness with just the right amount of funk! We also sampled through a few of the delicious beers on tap from kolsches to sours. Service was prompt and great, too. What a fun time - hope to come back soon!”

Our server brought over water right away and soon after we ordered a California roll (me) and the hubby got one unagi sushi for a dollar (a special). The California roll was fresh, well rolled and really delicious, my husband said the same for the unagi. My husband also got the chicken thigh yakatori for three bucks, it was brought out hot, tender and delicious. For our entrees, we both got Tonkotsu, we added an extra egg and shared it, so we would each have one full egg in our ramen instead of just a half. The Tonkotsu was fire, the broth was hot and buttery, egg perfectly cooked and yolky, the pork was tender and flavorful and overall just great. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. Our group had several different meals including the breakfast burrito, avocado toast, hangover burger, and breakfast platter - we were all raving about each of our dishes, so good! The service was also amazing and brought all our items quickly and nailed every meal with any customizations we had requested. And we did the bottomless mimosas for $20 and they had a bunch of different fun flavors for us to get, and the staff was super on top of the refills, taking care of us whenever we were getting low/empty! “Ballston Local is not just a restaurant; it's a beacon of culinary delight, casting a warm and welcoming glow over the neighborhood. With its super friendly service and an atmosphere as inviting as a family gathering, this spot is a testament to the joy of shared plates and hearty conversations. Our culinary journey at Ballston Local was nothing short of a gastronomic festival, celebrating the finest in casual dining with a twist of sophistication. The Mama's Meatballs, nestled in herbed ricotta and accompanied by perfectly grilled garlic bread, were so tender and flavorful as if every bite whispers a secret recipe passed down through generations, served with a dollop of love. The Caprese Crostini was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing the saltiness of prosciutto with the freshness of tomato and arugula, all elevated by a drizzle of balsamic reduction that danced on the palate. It wasn't just an appetizer; it was an aria, sung by the ingredients in perfect pitch.Pizza lovers, rejoice, for the Sausage & Roni Pizza is a masterpiece of dough, cheese, and cured meats. The blend of pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil was a testament to the power of simple ingredients coming together to create something magical. Each slice was a ticket to an Italian countryside. The Italian Pork Store Special sandwich was a hearty homage to the classic Italian deli experience, with layers of prosciutto, sopressatta, ham, and fresh mozzarella, accented by roasted peppers and arugula, then kissed with vinaigrette. It was a hearty handheld feast that transported us straight to the streets of Rome, one savory bite at a time. And then, there was the Blumont Burger, a burger behemoth that stood tall and proud. The caramelized onions, gorgonzola, arugula, and bacon came together in a beautiful, messy, glorious union, all slathered in burger sauce that could only be described as "nectar of the gods." It was the kind of burger that demands your attention, commanding the stage with the poise of a seasoned actor. I'm not usually a fan of blue cheeses, but I would come back for this. The beverage menu at Ballston Local was a parade of liquid joy. From a beer and wine list that is both satisfying and inviting to a fun and tasty cocktail menu that sparked conversation and laughter like the "Spa Day" made with gin, lavender simple syrup, and lime juice sparkling with gold flakes, every sip was a celebration of good taste and great company.Overall, Ballston Local, in essence, is more than a restaurant--It's a place where every dish is a discovery, every drink a delight, and every visit a return to a place where you're always welcome.”

“Excellent food, excellent service! My wife and I had been trying to go to this place for quite some time (place is booked weeks in advance and for a good reason) so we finally booked a reservation to go with some friends and we all had a really good experience. I would have to disagree with some of other reviews on the service. Our waiter (and at least one other that was serving the table next to us) were very attentive, they had pretty good knowledge of the menu (including good recommendations on wine and dessert liqueuers), and service was fast and no errors on our orders. And the food was pretty authentic! Definitely try the Escargots and Beet salad (Betteraves - if you like beets you are going to love this salad). For mains we got Loup de Mère a(Sea Bass), Confit Canard and Steak Frites. Steak was perfectly cooked and the Sea Bass' almond-capers beurre was delicious (perfect amount of this butter sauce in the dish). My wife favorite French dish is the Confit Canard and Cafe Colline knows how to make it. She loved it. I tried some and I'll definitely will be back for that dish. And don't skip dessert, plenty to choose from (Creme Brulee, Pots de Creme and Olive Oil Cake were our choices, and they did not disappoint!). Make sure you plan ahead, as again this place is pretty booked most of the time.”

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and they also deliver!!We're all so caught up at ordering at these corporate places that we forget to give these small businesses a try!! But trust and believe you will not be disappointed!! And no I am in no way affiliated with this restaurant. Just a frequent shopper. Oh yeah and btq, they make their own ranch and blue cheese deeping sauce, not those sauces that come out of the packets.”

“I attended the Cherry Blossom Tea this weekend with five friends, and it was pretty nice! Two people in our party had strict dietary restrictions (gluten free and dairy free), and they were perfectly accommodated. I do agree with what a few others have said about the service taking a while (our seating was at 2:30 and we didn’t finish until 4:30, making us a little late for a 4:45 event we were all going to). The tea was lovely though and the desserts + tea sandwiches were surprisingly filling! Not to mention the complementary mimosas were an added bonus. The price was a little high at $110 per person, but I guess it is the Ritz. We had purposefully picked this tea experience because it was supposed to be a little bit less compared to some other cherry blossom teas in the DMV, but it ended up being about the same. The restaurant was also a little bit loud, but overall it was a pretty good experience I’d recommend, especially if you have friends with dietary restrictions.”

“I love the food here! They have new sandwiches and dishes rolling out semi-regularly. It's a great mix of Sichuan and a great chicken sandwich. If you are afraid of spice I think the Hot Boy spice level is not too spicy at all! Just be warned it is a play off of nashville hot chicken sandwiches so the sandwiches are wetter than your average chicken sandwich. The Taj ma hot and the Hot Boy deluxe-club sandwich are my go to orders, the Ube coffee is a nice creamy sweet treat as well. Service is overall good, the person working the front is nice and patient, you can order at the kiosk. Sometimes the food takes some time because they fry and prepare everything right after you order so it stays fresh, but it is worth the wait!Dietary restrictions: The chicken is HalalParking: This location is in the Ballston mall so their is a convenient parking garage attached to the building. At the corner of Clarendon & Adams, 2300 Wilson Blvd, Arlington

“We came to Mejana for my mother's birthday. The service was ok, server was young and there may have been a language barrier. Because we were a large party we were told our only option on the menu was the Lebanese Journey which turned out to be basically a large sampler of many menu items from apps, meats and 1 dessert. I was able to explain that in one sentence but while we were at the restaurant that simple explanation was not given. We had about 20 people in our party and were all very confused. The menu doesn't really give an explanation, the waiter wasn't stating it in a way we could understand and finally the manager came and broke it down for us lol. The food ended up being delicious and the drinks were nice also. I really liked the hibiscus martini and my mom loved her mocktail (which they mad a good selection of). My suggestion would be to add an explanation for what the levonese journey is on the menu and also detail that the "mixed grill" is a variety of grilled meats. I assumed it was grilled vegetables since there was no detail on meat and the chicken shwarma was derailed separately. With all the confusion it took us a very long time to order, we had several children with us who got antsy with the wait for the food once it finally was ordered. Aside from the confusion the establishment had very nice decor and we enjoyed our time celebrating my mom. Be aware that the desert that comes w the Journey is a baklava that's the size of a quarter and what looked like a tablespoon of custard, incredibly tiny portions lol so be prepared ? but still delicious. The staff were very patient w our confusion and tried their best to explain.”
