“We went to check out the new Padaek in Arlington after having been to the Falls Church location a few times. This one is nice, service is amazing, and the food is good. Buuuuuuttttt, it's different...I like my food spicy, and knew to order it "Lao spicy". When it arrived at the table, I could see that it just had a bunch of chilis added. This gives it a bit of spice, but is more like a level 3 out of 5. It was just lacking the heat as when ordering spicy at the other location. Obviously, they don't want to overwhelm their guests with spice, but if you're asking for that level of heat, you obviously want it. Oh well...it's good, and the flavors are tasty...but the other location feels more authentic.“

“Went here for casual lunch with coworkers and had not been before (but a coworker had been here before) and was super happy with what we got. I got the garlic rice veggie bowl with peanut sauce. I liked the crispy tofu, garicky rice, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. My only regret was not getting the crispy spring rolls. I really enjoyed the large portion size for price and if you cannot finish you can get lids that they have to go.Lunch is really busy and it’s chaotic but it was fast given the lunch rush and it’s super casual. “My husband and I went here and were seated right away. The service was excellent the entire visit. We wanted to try as many things as possible so we ordered from their pre fixed menu option. Our table was pretty small So the table got really crowded fast! Food was pretty good, the fried fish was surprisingly my favorite. Meal ended with a dessert too. Nice touch. We will definitely be going back and requesting a booth instead of the table because we rarely order one or two items.“
