“What a surprise! I walk past this place all the time. After reading the reviews I stopped in. whoa. Nice extensive menu, friendly staff. Quick service. Very tasty and flavorful Vietnamese food. I noticed people at the next table didn’t finish their pho. Hmmm, something wrong, I wondered? Then my bowl of noodles with beef flank steak came out. Delicious. In spite of my good intentions, I couldn’t finish it all! I can hear my mother in the background berating me about the starving kids in Biafra, etc. Hey! I’m 70 years old and still hear that. We had the summer rolls and the sausage rolls for appetizers. They were very good as expected. My wife had grilled chicken over rice and lots of fresh veggies to mix in as desired. This has been inserted near the top of our favorite restaurants list.“
“Authentic Yunnan cuisine. Fast service. Great options. Starters were excellent. Vegetarian options available pretty much for all the menu items. Cucumber roll starters and mushrooms were great. Mains portions are large enough to share. Another thing to note is that they provide corkage- so feel free to bring your own wine.“
“Second time here with my husband and I absolutely love this place. Their food is amazing. Love their asian rolls and curry Puff appetizers. Definitely recommend. Love the spiciness of their dishes and the levels of spiciness they offer. Their Thai tea is so full of flavor and so delicious. If you have not visited this place, you should. It won't disappoint. Great service. Friendly staff. The mango sticky rice dessert is out of this world. So delicious!!!“
“Tasty Thai lunch in Old Town! Tried sleepy shrimp for the first time and they were very good: juicy shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper and served with a sweet chili sauce. We also enjoyed the balanced Thai iced tea, pad Thai with chicken, spring rolls and pad ginger with shrimp. Ample portions and comfortable seating combined with excellent service made for a wonderful rest from an afternoon of shopping. Thank you!“
“Ok firstly our pickup order did take an hour to be prepared but it was so good. The crab Rangoons were filled and crunchy! The Singapore noodles and general tso had great flavor. I was so impressed. You can tell it's a hard working family that runs this place“
“I have tried pho restaurants all over Virginia. I've had friend's grandmothers and aunties hit me with the homemade pho. I thought I had greatness but hands down this place kicks all the others in the booty big time. The broth is so clean and flavorful. I've had it hungover and I left the broth out; not one piece of congealed fat from how clean it is. Whoever is making this broth must be protected at all times and I want to send her birthday presents“
“Good food, lots of vegan, gluten and accommodating needs for dietary restrictions. Sort of pricey for noodles and unfortunately redeeming app points don't include proteins, they cost extra so that's sort of annoying. Great staff and weird how good the music playlists are.Vegetarian options: Many different types of meals that don't use meat.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free noodles, zucchini noodles, cauliflower noodles are all options aside from regular flour pasta noodles“
“I ate here for the first time last week. I got a bowl called the drunken Italian and it was quite good. It was just the right level of spicy for me for lunch.Their menu is a good size and they seem very open to changes and alterations to fit your tastes. They are a good lunch time price point on a street with a whole lot of pricy spots.Not much seating so plan on getting it to go, maybe on a nice day to sit by the waterfront.“
“I was in the area and was looking for a place to sit down and have a quick dinner. I decided I wanted some Thai food and found Sugar Palm. The restaurant was quite empty except for one or two tables that were occupied. It didn't give me a great feeling, but it was a week night so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Service was quick and they came to take my order soon after I was seated. I ordered the kao soi from their menu which I enjoyed along with the spring roll that they brought out. Overall, the food was tasty.“
“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.“
