When I walked over, I was seated right away and then almost immediately asked about my drink order.
The menu is kind of small but has some good options.
I ordered the lemon chicken which was almost like a salad but really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the hummus, spinach and other vegetables were great and overall it was a really good dish and a good portion.“

“Their signature thing The Gyro is spot on copious gyro meat balanced well with tomatoes, onions and tzatki. The side Greek Salad was tasty but heavy on the greens and a real Greek salad is cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, green peppers. I ordered way too much as the Gyro is a lot. Enjoy! Opa!!
PS Dolmades are cooked fresh when you order and are hot which was me to me, but also spot on. A really good side if you like Dolmades.“

We had lamb shish kabob and trout stuffed with spinach and both were perfectly done. We ate on the patio at 8 pm and had no issues with mosquitoes mentioned in another review. The place was full and lively but not too loud and we had no wait. Just felt right in every sense. We ended up buying a house a few blocks away and expect to be regulars here.“

“Wow! Besides the food being exceptional, I was also informed that they cook in exclusively olive oil, use good quality ingredients (no shortcuts), and their meat is halal. The owners are passionate and the food tastes like a lot of love and thought has gone into curating each dish.

I got the guac taco dip, Mexican chicken tacos, and pressed taco- flavorful, fresh and probably the best food I’ve had in a while.

We also get the tzatziki or the falafel every once in a while, they’re both good. “The gentleman at the counter had wonderful customer service. We paid for our food even brought it to the table, which was very nice. It felt like fine dining, he gave us a bit of conversation and seem like such a pleasant gentlemen. I enjoyed the food. It was amazing. “Ordered here and the food was REALLY good. Large portions. Chicken tasted great and wasn't dry at all. They provided sauces, green and white. Green sauce had a lot of flavor and had a spicy bite. The white sauce was good too. Good prices for the amount of food.“

Very consistent and affordable spot that used to take only cash and now takes card - which is nice. Some limited outside seating is available but this place is mainly a takeout location. Menu has all the standard breakfast items and they are available all day. The biscuits and gravy are basic but hit that homestyle taste for a bargain. I've never ventured outside of their breakfast food but I have no reason to doubt it's quality. If you need a quick and affordable breakfast/lunch this is your spot just south of DuPont Circle and by the Farragut Red Line Metro.“

“I used to live in the fox chase apartments right behind la casa from 2004-2009. La casa was always my go-to. My husband and I used to go all the time before we were married. One of our faves! Today we took our kids and they loved it too. It is still so good after all this time. My husband and son got the gyro platter, my daughter got the spaghetti al forna and I got the la casa salad. All excellent!
We don't live nearby anymore or would go all the time. Just as good as I remember!“

We also got the Shish Kabob and Eggplant Parmesan. Both were ok, nothing special about either. The prices were very high so for the entrees so I expected better quality; however, .the portions were large.

We also got the Tiramisu and Cheesecake. Both were very good.“
