“I went for iftar upon my friend's recommendation. Pleasant smells greet you as you enter. The salad bar is very fresh and very tasty. All the meats we tried were very delicious. The staff are great with their date treats, smiling faces and helpful attitude in every way. Especially the tea that came with it crowned the whole meal. You should definitely experience traditional Turkish flavors and desserts. We thank Mr. Akif and his team.“
“I’ve always loved coming here! Great seafood all fresh, you can really tell the quality is there. As someone who’s actually not a big fan of Italian this is somewhere I really enjoy frequenting. Recommend there scallop squid ink ravioli, calamari, and tiramisu. Only thing I’ll say is parking can be tricky so leave some time to find some if you’re coming here.“

“I attended the Cherry Blossom Tea this weekend with five friends, and it was pretty nice! Two people in our party had strict dietary restrictions (gluten free and dairy free), and they were perfectly accommodated. I do agree with what a few others have said about the service taking a while (our seating was at 2:30 and we didn’t finish until 4:30, making us a little late for a 4:45 event we were all going to). The tea was lovely though and the desserts + tea sandwiches were surprisingly filling! Not to mention the complementary mimosas were an added bonus. The price was a little high at $110 per person, but I guess it is the Ritz. We had purposefully picked this tea experience because it was supposed to be a little bit less compared to some other cherry blossom teas in the DMV, but it ended up being about the same. The restaurant was also a little bit loud, but overall it was a pretty good experience I’d recommend, especially if you have friends with dietary restrictions.“

The food is still good but the service has come to a screeching halt at least at this location.I was recently there on a Friday night and then Sunday morning. I recommended it to two different guests we were hosting because they wanted to meet my mother.The food was excellent on Friday (if you haven't had the catfish that's the dish to get) but the service was super slow. Yes, the place was busy but I was surprised because I haven't experienced this before at Busboys and Poets.On Sunday we arrived at 10AM. My mother ordered her usual Sweet Potato Hash (still need to try it sometime). The rest of us in our party ordered the french toast. I had heard it was good. The waiter then informed us that they were out of french toast. We looked at him like he must've been confused. It was only 10AM. My mother even said, "How are you out of french toast? It's bread and eggs. Harris Teeter is across the street." We all laughed and continued to joke the waiter when he came back to check in on us and asked if we needed anything else. "Yeah, some french toast." Needless to say, he got a good tip.“

“We came to Mejana for my mother's birthday. The service was ok, server was young and there may have been a language barrier. Because we were a large party we were told our only option on the menu was the Lebanese Journey which turned out to be basically a large sampler of many menu items from apps, meats and 1 dessert. I was able to explain that in one sentence but while we were at the restaurant that simple explanation was not given. We had about 20 people in our party and were all very confused. The menu doesn't really give an explanation, the waiter wasn't stating it in a way we could understand and finally the manager came and broke it down for us lol. The food ended up being delicious and the drinks were nice also. I really liked the hibiscus martini and my mom loved her mocktail (which they mad a good selection of). My suggestion would be to add an explanation for what the levonese journey is on the menu and also detail that the "mixed grill" is a variety of grilled meats. I assumed it was grilled vegetables since there was no detail on meat and the chicken shwarma was derailed separately. With all the confusion it took us a very long time to order, we had several children with us who got antsy with the wait for the food once it finally was ordered. Aside from the confusion the establishment had very nice decor and we enjoyed our time celebrating my mom. Be aware that the desert that comes w the Journey is a baklava that's the size of a quarter and what looked like a tablespoon of custard, incredibly tiny portions lol so be prepared ? but still delicious. The staff were very patient w our confusion and tried their best to explain.“

“So I originally ordered a grain bowl on Uber eats. Unfortunately Uber eats service was absolutely horrifying. They took over an hour and a half to assign a driver canceled my order previously…. now I’m specifically talking about Uber eats not the restaurant..Uber eats was not trying to give me a refund so I could re-order or just go pick up my food myself I have been waiting almost 2 hours for my food….HOWEVER ANGEL WHO WORKS AT THE RESTAURANT WAS VERY VERY HELPFUL WHEN I CALLED TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY ORDER. IF IT WAS READY FOR PICK UP, HE KEPT ME UPDATED, and gave me great assistance. Even when I showed up to pick up my food myself I appreciate that. He also spoke with Uber Eats to let them know it was unacceptable and it made the restaurant look bad.This man has amazing. Customer service is so polite and super respectful. The food is always good and the staffs are so polite and professional last night I took my family there for the restaurant 10th anniversary. We had a blast. The DJ did a great job and the belly dancing was amazing. I can’t wait to try their Turkish breakfast!“
