“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. “Zazzy is one of those places that deserves a lot more attention than it gets. I've been coming here since they first opened, and it's become one of my go-to takeout spots in Arlington.

The food is consistently excellent, but what really stands out is the value. The portions are absolutely massive for the price. The chicken pita is my usual order, and their salads are so large that two people could easily share one and leave satisfied.

Over the years, I've worked my way through almost the entire menu, and I've yet to find something I wouldn't order again. While I'm not personally a huge fan of their version of hummus, that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Everything else I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.

Zazzy is tucked away in a location that's easy to miss, which is a shame because it truly is a neighborhood gem. Arlington has plenty of dining options, but few places offer this combination of quality, consistency, and value. “We had a long stay at DCA when Prime Minister of Iraq came to DC. This restaurant was the only good thing about that. The food was reasonable, healthy and very tasty.. The staff was friendly and professional. I live in St Augustine and see the nearest location is Jacksonville. I will definitely find it when I'm in Jacksonville and be looking at other airports!“
