“I ordered my mom her favorite at Vasos for her 79th birthday all the way from Washington State. The staff were so wonderful and made her dinner a little extra special with a new treat. Always a go to for dinners out. Must visit!! Everything is delicious.“

“Omar's Pitas & Platters is a great find. The jerk chicken was amazing, tender and full of flavor with just the right kick. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and everything tasted like it was made with care. Portions were generous, too. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!“

“Really good chicken shawarma and very friendly service! Since it's located inside a Shell gas station, parking and seating are minimal. We ended up driving across the street to eat in the Afghan grocery store parking lot. Will definitely go back.“

“I wish 4.5 was an option, I would give it that rating. I just moved to the Landmark / west end Alex neighborhood so I'm trying out all the local places. I had the Sunday special which was hamburger steak and onions. I thought it was really good, the grilled onions added really nice flavor. I had it with rice which was a nice combination and a side salad. The Italian dressing was really delicious and the salad was fresh. My bf got a gyro and shoestring fries. He said the fries were really excellent and the gyro was okay. I liked that the menu had a few items typical of a Greek diner such as tuna salad plate and chef salad. They had a nice looking full bar with a few TVs and the dining area was nicely kept. Not overly fancy but nice. They had a breakfast menu but it's not served all day. We will definitely be going back to try a few other things like chicken parm or spaghetti and meatballs. I will def get the hamburger steak again. Total price for both meals plus one soda and one iced tea was $41 before the tip.“

“The best hummus ever. You can also buy it locally at Whole Foods and Safeway. Wide menu of salads, spits sandwiches, soups (!), and pizza. Outdoor seating but makes great picnic or carry-out. I especially love the turkey Veggie Hummus pita sandwich. It’s so good!“

I wanted a place that could handle the 12 of us, ranging in age from 15 to 88, at least one person with special dietary needs, and one who needed a relatively quiet environment. Elaine's hit it out of the park. We were given a semi-private room with the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff one could possibly hope for. Happily, the food and drink were also first rate, much appreciated by my eclectic, foodie family.“
