La'Baik Reviews
Just ate there last nite b4 a show at Birchmere (their food not so great!). WONDERFUL, AUTHENIC Greek fare. I had the lamb/beef gyro and gal had falafal (sic?). Both delicious, highly recommend it!
I went to La Baik after my sister recommended I try it while I was searching for a casual halal food spot. I visited with my family, which gave us the perfect opportunity to try several different things from the menu.
Both meat options, the lamb/beef and the chicken, were incredibly juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Everything we tried was delicious, but what really stood out to me was the hospitality.

A friend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. The food, customer service and atmosphere were amazing. I definitely recommend.

Based on the reviews, La’Baik is a favorite Mediterranean place in Alexandria and maybe even in all of the US. The food is incredible, fresh, full of flavors, and absolutely delicious. The falafel is made fresh and tastes delicious. The baba ghanoush and the hummus are first rate. The gyros are some of the best tried, with options to customize just like a burrito. The chicken and the lamb-beef gyros are exceptionally cooked. The zaatar fries and gyros are so yum, especially with the tzatziki sauce. The super thin Markouh forms the base but is supported in the middle with a smaller roti. The secret sauces are the garlic paste, spicy cilantro, sumac onions and sha'tar. The staff is extremely helpful, pleasant, friendly, and welcoming, providing excellent service. Prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed, and dining outside makes the experience even better. It is a great place to take friends visiting from out of town. This is absolutely a must on any list for the D.C. area.
