“Food is good by local standards but I wish they would not call it Kabob. it is KEBAP. Or do not call yourself a Turkish restaurant.“

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. Continued success and best wishes for this popular bistro!“

“Stumbled into Akivva Grill after my dog’s vet appointment nearby — great find. Fresh ingredients, well-seasoned meat on the spit, and generous portions at a fair price. Clean spot, no-frills service — the older guys are focused on the food, not small talk. Just order, eat, and enjoy.“

“Our first visit to Istanbul Kitchen was unforgettable, thanks to Farideh who went above and beyond from the moment we walked in. Her kindness and hospitality made us feel truly welcomed.
The food was delicious, full of authentic flavor, and the Turkish coffee and kadayif were absolutely perfect. Such a wonderful experience all around — we will definitely be back!“

“Agora DC made my husband’s surprise birthday dinner party one to remember! From the superior customer service and professionalism of their special events management team, including Tsednia Abay, to the Michelin Star-worthy food and service, no detail was left untouched. “The food was the main character here- The young man who helped us was super nice! Definitely coming back!
The only thing I must mention- They add the gratitude/tip on the bill… when I asked the server, he told me this was for dining in… which was not correct- It was the gratitude. I was not too happy for the dishonest part.“

“We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and stayed for conversation, enjoying the atmosphere. Not only was the food excellent, the owner came to our table to check on us. We were also offered Turkish tea and Baklava, on the house! Both were delicious.“

“East West Café at Tysons Corner truly lives up to its name. Its menu reflects Turkey’s unique position between East and West by offering a thoughtful mix of authentic Turkish dishes alongside Western-style sandwiches, salads, and burgers.
The atmosphere instantly evokes the feeling of an Istanbul café. The murals and warm décor create a space where dining feels relaxed, allowing you to enjoy good food and even better company. The staff is exceptionally attentive, often anticipating your needs before you even ask, which adds greatly to the overall experience.
The restaurant also provides a comfortable, designated area for hookah lovers. While I personally don’t enjoy the smell of hookah, it’s clear that they’ve made an effort to create a welcoming and safe space for those who do.
The food was genuinely impressive. The branzino was cooked to perfection—moist, flavorful, and paired with delicious vegetables. The Adana kebab was juicy and tender, served with bulgur pilaf (cracked wheat) and finely sliced raw onions with sumac. A particularly nostalgic touch was the complimentary nuts, apples, and oranges served alongside my friends’ wine—something I fondly remember from my days back in Turkiye.
Another major plus: East West Café is open until 2:00 AM, which is a rare and wonderful option in the Tysons area when most places are already closed. Their Turkish breakfast spread is generous and varied, and they also offer a wide range of lunch options.
Most importantly, we never felt rushed. My friends and I were able to truly enjoy our time, our conversations, and our meal at a relaxed pace.
Overall, it was a great dining experience“
