“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. “I had a really great experience at Borek-G! The kebab was delicious and everything tasted fresh. Everyone was very welcoming, especially Erol amca, who was so kind and friendly. “Amazing little spot! My husband and I came here for the first time this weekend and were very impressed. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh! My husband had the Adana Kebab platter, and I had the veggie kofte platter. We also tried the lemonade, hibiscus sherbet, and Turkish coffee--all delicious! It was my first time having Turkish coffee, and it definitely did not disappoint. We were too full to have dessert there, but the owner gave us some complimentary baklava to take home, which we thoroughly enjoyed later that evening. The owner was so welcoming, and we loved chatting with her about Turkish food and culture. It's clear that she truly cares about her customers and sharing a piece of her culture, which was so nice. We will definitely be coming back!“

“Been meaning to go here for some time, and managed to meet a friend for lunch today. Turkish food beautifully prepared and presented. My husband thought the spreads were the best he’s ever had, and we have been to many Turkish and Greek restaurants. Highly recommend the excellent food, friendly staff and great decor!“

“What at first seemed like a takeout/ casual eatery, turned out to be a neighborhood gem. The back sit-down area has a great ambiance and food was amazing! We got the mixed grill plate and it did not disappoint! Lamb chops and Kofta kebab were my favorite, but everything was great, including hummus and tzatziki. I gave a 4 on service only because they seemed short-staffed at the time. Our server, Mehmet was wonderful and we look forward to coming back!“

Our sweet server, Jackline, was wonderful and attentive. She even surprised us with something special for dessert. Would definitely recommend Sofra while visiting DC!“

We also really enjoyed sitting on the patio. It was comfortable, relaxing, and made the dinner even more enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, and overall we had a great experience.
