The food tasted great, service was slow. Dining room and seat were convenient. Kibbeh was frozen and defrosted fried not fresh. The falafel was below average find a food truck by Smithsonian that has better falafel.
Me and my family came many times it’s a very good place, delicious food, perfect service.
What at first seemed like a takeout/ casual eatery, turned out to be a neighborhood gem. The back sit-down area has a great ambiance and food was amazing! We got the mixed grill plate and it did not disappoint! Lamb chops and Kofta kebab were my favorite, but everything was great, including hummus and tzatziki. I gave a 4 on service only because they seemed short-staffed at the time. Our server, Mehmet was wonderful and we look forward to coming back!

O’Kabul Turkish Food and Restaurant is a great little gem in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, located in a former bodega space. The renovation and decor are really nice, creating a cozy, warm, and eclectic atmosphere reminiscent of Istanbul. The food is amazing, well made, and features good portions with really nice flavors. Dishes like the kabob plates, grilled platter, and hot appetizer sampler are grilled to perfection, with well-seasoned and savory meats. The side salads, hummus, and fresh rice pudding are all excellent. The experience is enhanced by delicious cocktails, Turkish tea, and dessert, making it a highly satisfying and authentic Turkish experience.
