The decor brightened an otherwise gloomy and stormy day. The service was efficient and friendly. Menu labeled for dietary restrictions and can ask server for help. The food (brunch prix fixe with burrata (no bread) and steak eggs) had the right flavors to waken the palate and satisfy the soul and the stomach. Kudos to the right amount of salt on each dish to highlight all the deliciousness. Cantaloupe to Spain was a balanced cocktail with unique flavors and smooth to drink.

Overall a memorable brunch experience and I'll be recommending to friends in and out of DC. Look forward to coming back.“

Our waiter was incredible and did more than was expected to make my friend's birthday special; she was very attentive during the whole meal and offered us excellent wine recommendations. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “I discovered Sasuns Cafe a few weeks ago and I have come back each time I’ve been in the area. Can’t speak to the rest of the menu yet but the Zattar Jalapeno & Tomato flatbread is OUTSTANDING. I’m not sure you can find a better option for less than $10 in the county. The Steak and Cheese is perfectly balanced with seasoning and crisp vegetables, combined with a with a fresh roll making for a great bite. Try either of these items, you won’t regret it. The concept of getting to pair wines throughout your meal is innovative and so fun! And the availability of wine choices is incredible. The food was also fantastic and we loved the cute “fun pairings” at the end, which we had milky ways paired with a port wine.

“We went to Alhambra for dinner during Restaurant Week. The food was outstanding and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My husband ordered the borak, which was unbelievably delicious. I ordered the bib lettuce salad which was a lovely choice. I then ordered the halibut which was very yummy. It was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside which was perfectly cooked. It sat on a bed of chickpeas with fried spinach crisps. My husband enjoyed Peri Peri chicken with rice. And then we had olive oil cake with pistachio ice cream and candied orange peel. We both loved it. We ordered a glass of wine with our dinners and a cappuccino with dessert. A very wonderful meal that will be remembered for a long time.“
