“I was looking for food and wine and drove by Kensington pizza and subs . Decided to give it a try. So happy that I did! The store looks clean and food pictures made me want to try everything! The best part food comes out look good as it's on the display and taste AMAZING! I had cheesesteak sandwich and Santa fe chicken simply AMAZING! Lamb kabob was cooked perfectly and the rice was very fresh and delicious! Ordered side grilled veggies and it was cooked for the first time the way I like ( I'm very picky about food?) They also have free delivery and deliver beer wine!! That will be definitely the only place I would call for take out food ! Thank you! My first Google review, that place is that good! Definitely will be back again!“

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“

“Discovered Maman Joon by accident as most places were closed at 3:00pm. Their food was exceptional. We had the Kashk E’ Bademian (sautéed eggplant), Salad E’ Shirazi (cucumber salad), Beef Koobideh (ground beef kebab) and Baklava. It was flavorful and spiced without being too overpowering. Prices were very reasonable, too. Couldn’t believe they got all five star ratings until we tried it. No seating though so best for take away.“

“The restaurant has been closed but the market and kebab counter is still in operation. The market has a large selection of Persian and Turkish products. You can find unique tea that isn’t available in other markets. The kebab counter is pretty good. Definitely go check out the market.“

“I had an amazing experience at Darband Kabob in Rockville. The food is incredibly authentic and flavorful, the kabobs are juicy, perfectly grilled, and the saffron rice is light and aromatic. Portions are generous and everything tastes fresh. The staff is welcoming and the atmosphere feels warm and genuinely Persian. Easily one of the best Persian restaurants in the DMV and a must-visit if you love real Iranian cuisine.“

“We used a Groupon to give this place a try and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! We ordered takeout — we chose both Italian and Persian items. The rigatoni, the dinner salad and the salmon kabobs were all well-prepared, great portion, very enjoyable. But the star of the meal was the Italian meatball appetizer, which could be a meal to itself. Let me say that my mother’s side is Southern Italian from outside of Naples, and was part of the immigrant generation 100 years ago that invented spaghetti and meatballs. I have never had a restaurant meatball that compares to our family recipe. Until now. This comes very close. Big meatballs, full of flavors, made with care, excellent sauce. I was so pleased. The decor is bright, the owners are friendly, the vibe is a warm neighborhood spot. It is a short walk from the Shady Grove Metro Station, on the other side of 355 from King Farm. This neighborhood has needed a place like this for a long time. Great meal, nice experience.“

“The food and service at this place is always awesome. Especially the gentleman who runs the front of the house. His name is Marvin, and he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. If you want good food, pretty quickly, and like people in general, this is a great place to get it. I've become a regular customer and I love this place.“

“Absolutely delightful food, people, and atmosphere. My first visit was an urgent stop—I stopped in with a travel weary, overly hungry child who was quickly sated with delicious pastries. The gentleman behind the counter handled the situation so well. He turned our day around and wouldn’t even take payment for our food. I go back now as much as I’m in the area, and it’s consistently wonderful. The food is delicious. Despite being attached to the busy mall, it’s always clean and accommodating. The staff is friendly and has a welcoming attitude that makes it feel like a standalone restaurant where you can sit and linger a bit. Thank you for your kindness. “Chicken and kubideh had good flavor. Barg had no flavor and tasted steamed. Changeh also did not have much flavor and did not taste like it was grilled. The setup was like a fast food restaurant but they had a tip being added at the cash register. Not sure what the tip is for when we are picking up take out.“

“Best quality dining option in all of Stamp. As a commuter who has very limited meal options during the day, I've bounced around all of the food options in this student union. Chick-fil-A was my favorite for a while but then got fed up with all the greasiness. Then all of a sudden I find myself being best pals with the manager 'Angel' who is a literal angel blessing me with meals that just make my day better. All of the employees are friendly and prior to meeting the manager, my meals were plain and dry so I asked him if he could make me something good and he definitely came through. I go there pretty much every time I eat at Stamp now, so if your excuse is that you don't know what to get just ask Angel. Or just ask for the Angel special and they will get you right what he makes me. I've yet to get tired of this place because the food is so fresh unlike what can be argued for the other dining options there. Give it a try.“

“New location in McLean was modern and bright, very clean. They now gave a Market on the lower level. Food was yummy and fresh, hummus was a little different, not the smooth, great flavor as in the past; bland flavor. The restaurant was busy and there were several employees working, yet the wait time for the food was 30 minutes. I'm sure it will get better as the staff gets accustomed to the number of guests! Try it! Enjoy!“

“I come here a lot with friends. The food is more fast food style but still very flavorful. There is great Farsi music and beautiful paintings inside. Would recommend getting the Koobideh kabob and make sure to ask for your rice to be Tahdig. You won’t regret it :)“

“I spoke with a man named Taha to order a variety of Persian kebab, etc. for a Surprise Birthday Party and was very satisfied, as well as the 30 guests who attended and (most being Persian) on the quality of the food. The kebabs were tender, the rice was good quality and the extra sides very plentiful. I would highly recommend this for a large gathering because the price was very reasonable and service very customer friendly, especially ordering from Taha. Kudo's to him and all his help in making this special birthday even more special and worry free for me.“

The venue itself is fantastic for hosting events, and I highly recommend ShipGarten for birthdays, gatherings, or any special occasion.
