“We were in DC for just a short time and glad we went there. If you are of Iranian background, you will enjoy the nostalgia, if not, the space had lots of stories to tell. The Executive chef took the time to talk to us and give a tour of the top floor lounge with all the interesting pictures. The food was great too. Order a few things to share with friends. It’s the Persian way!“

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“
“Discovered Maman Joon by accident as most places were closed at 3:00pm. Their food was exceptional. We had the Kashk E’ Bademian (sautéed eggplant), Salad E’ Shirazi (cucumber salad), Beef Koobideh (ground beef kebab) and Baklava. It was flavorful and spiced without being too overpowering. Prices were very reasonable, too. Couldn’t believe they got all five star ratings until we tried it. No seating though so best for take away.“

“Peter and Saeed were absolutely amazing. We just got done eating there. We have always loved Mama Jooons place, especially at the mall but being able to go to where it all began and being there with the owner was a completely new experience. The food alone is worth the drive that we have made from Richmond up to Washington. the meat is always so soft and everything always taste absolutely amazing from the french fry special sauce to the hummus that is to die for! We will definitely be returning when we come back up here to Washington!“

“I came in earlier today with my friends, and I ordered myself a pizza it was absolutely perfect. Someone came over and gave my friends a treat for free. Great customer service, felt welcomed and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. Thank you!“

“I spoke with a man named Taha to order a variety of Persian kebab, etc. for a Surprise Birthday Party and was very satisfied, as well as the 30 guests who attended and (most being Persian) on the quality of the food. The kebabs were tender, the rice was good quality and the extra sides very plentiful. I would highly recommend this for a large gathering because the price was very reasonable and service very customer friendly, especially ordering from Taha. Kudo's to him and all his help in making this special birthday even more special and worry free for me.“

“I always enjoy dining at Moby Dick in Bethesda. Dana is an absolute delight and one of the main reasons we love coming back. She's always smiling, genuinely warm, and treats everyone with kindness and respect. Her welcoming attitude creates such a positive atmosphere and makes every visit enjoyable. Excellent food and outstanding customer service!“
