“How did I forget to review Plaka?? Plaka is consistently amazing. Fast, delicious and friendly service every single time. I love introducing people to Plaka. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of my favorite things are the Plaka Gyro Wrap which has Authentic Greek-style pork gyro with tomatoes, onions, tzatziki and fries inside. It's filling but you won't be in a food coma afterwards. I also love getting the plaka bowls where you can choose what you want in them. Kind of like Cava but way better.“

You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Portion Size: Portion sizes are pretty good here so you definitely won't leave hungry, and you might even have some leftovers to enjoy later. But I wish they included 1-2 pieces of chicken as there was a lot more rice to chicken. Price: Considering the quality and quantity of the food, I'd say the prices are reasonable especially for Tyson Area. And just wanted to say there service was really good and got the chance to met the owner Peter Tabibian who was very nice and welcoming! So I decided to build my own bowl. I wanted some extra protein so I did get the chicken which was fantastic and obviously vegetables. Who got falafel on the side and they gave me four large pieces and it was fantastic. The vegetables they gave me Russian everything that they gave me including tax was $15.79. did I not paid extra for the chicken it would have came out to $11.65 plus tax.Out there were not that many people but the atmosphere was good and this is a rather sizable place and it looks very deceptive from the outside. The only other thing I wanted to mention is that as far as the help is concerned I just don't understand for the life of me if you're going to work in a people-oriented business, working behind the counter barely spoke any English and it was hard to convey what I wanted. I could not decide what to get to take home for our family, so got way too much food for four people. Every meal, appetizer, and desert was delicious. we had the lamb shank meal, the New York Sirloin entree, Moussaka, Imam Baildi, lamb gyros, Greek salad, homemade potato chips (best ever), pita and hummus sampler, and more. Deserts were the lemon cake, apricot baklava, sour cherry baklava. Yeah we overdid it on our order, but we enjoyed a smorgasbord of delicious Greek food that made you think it was from a top 10 upscale downtown restaurant.
