“Love Corsica so much! Joe is the perfect bartender great mix of pleasant personality, sense of humor and comfortability behind the bar. Very easy vibe and amazing drinks and food. Nicolas is the sweetest server with such positive energy. One of the best additions to RTC in a long time. Bolognese, lemon bucatini, mushrooms, meatballs and arancini are favorites. The frozen Citron Sunrise does the trick on a hot summer day.“

“Wait—huh? How does this place have such low review #s? This is the greatest thing I’ve had at this price point in a long time. Shoot—right across the street I went to another place and paid $20 for a bowl that was 80% rice noodles. I paid $17 here for a double chicken bowl that was chock full of healthy vegetables and extra protein like chickpeas and lentils. The portion size was absolutely phenomenal and someone who is a light eater could easily make 2 meals out of this. The pickled vegetables really made the taste pop. I stayed away from the tabouleh and couscous bc I’m GF. I just thought it was great for a healthy, quick service option but I’m visiting from out of town (Colorado) with much more limited options. I guess people have a lot more variety here but I’m giving it my honest 5 stars!“

As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

Definitely gonna have to come back and try literally everything.. the portion size of the plates coming out the kitchen on top of the amazing smells like fresh baked naan, I already told the owner to expect me weekly!! This time, as is typical, the staff was personable, efficient, and everything was available to build my own bowl. I like that they accommodate requests to put the braised lamb in a separate container. I like my dressing on the side as well. Overall, I’d recommend this CAVA location. If you’ve never had CAVA, the food options provide a lot of protein and vegetables, which is high marks in my opinion for fast casual.“

I bought three (yes, three - don't judge me) ham/cheese/egg croissants and these might have very well been the best croissants I've ever had in the States. Crisp, wonderfully flaky, and perfectly buttered; these have become my go-to breakfast sandwich.

If there was one bit of feedback I would share is that their menu prices online are a little bit out of date, but that should be a simple website update. I would highly recommend this place for catering and make sure you reach out to them early because they get busy.“

“Dinner at Thelo is an experience of terrific food and a warm welcome from the owner and host Yannis. We got the spreads sampler and shared among four of us and it was delicious. The whipped beats were our favorite, so good we made an extra order to go and will have it over the weekend.

After the appetizer we were all happy with our orders. The lamb shank was the very best, and the salmon, moussaka, and lamb gyro also very nice. A terrific baclava topped off the experience. Strongly recommend you go, enjoy the experience, don’t rush yourself and have a nice time.“

I ordered the chicken and lamb over rice platter, and the portions were generous with well-seasoned meat and tasty white sauce. The rice was fresh, and the spicy sauce added a nice kick.

The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was also very fast, which makes it a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner. If you enjoy New York-style halal food, this place is definitely worth trying in Fairfax.

“I’ve been coming to this location pretty much every weekend for the last 3 years and realized I’ve never actually left a review! They have another location that is bigger than this one, but honestly, this one is the better spot for food, service, and the overall vibe. I actually live closer to the Falls Church location but still make the drive here because the staff are always super friendly and the experience is consistently good. On Fridays and Saturday, it can get a little busy a hectic but the wait usually isn’t too bad, maybe around like 10–15 minutes. My order has always come out right and the food tastes fresh and delicious every time I’ve been here.

The place itself is clean, condiments are always stocked, and there’s a really nice mural on the wall that gives it a cozy feel. Nice music playing most of the time I come and seating is a little tight but it’s comfortable. Every time I come in,I’m greeted right away and the staff have been the same since I first started coming so they know what they’re doing. If there ever is an issue, they’re quick to fix it. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, they are pretty accommodating to requests so that is something to consider.
Overall, this has been one of my go-to spots for Greek food for years! Consistently good food, good prices, and really great service.“

“Hidden gem of a shop, literally as you have to navigate through an office building to get there. The presumably owner was wonderful and very helpful, he also emphasized his use of extra virgin olive oil for health. I don’t think the Chicken Msakhen I got was on the online menu, but so so tasty.

More of a takeout shop than a date night vibe, but it does have free WiFi! Please consider giving them your business, it’s so worth it“
