When looking for a place to celebrate my wedding anniversary, a few options came up, and one of them was Sabores Tapas Bar. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it there at the time and ended up going to two other places—one was okay, the other was awful. Later, I told my wife we needed to try Sabores, maybe on New Year’s Day. Again, we ended up at a “safe” spot we like to visit. The food and service were good, but it was just our usual go-to. Fast forward to last week: my best friend from Puerto Rico came to visit with his family. He loves to eat, and his wife can be hard to please. This time, we decided to go to Sabores Tapas Bar. I’ll admit, I was nervous—I wanted them to have a great experience, but pleasing everyone is never easy. Finally, we went. What can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating. I had high expectations—growing up, my house was always full because my friends came over for my mom’s cooking. She’s an amazing cook. Mom, forgive me for saying this, but Sabores Tapas Bar is as good as, if not better than, your cooking, and the service was amazing. Wow. I’ve found the place. It’s so good that I want to go back and try dishes I normally don’t like, just to see if they can make me love them. I can’t wait to return. My taste buds have found the love of their life at Sabores Tapas Bar.“

They gave him the most delicious donuts and Lizz made really excellent dish recommendations. We will return for sure!!“

“This was a very satisfying burger. The Lucky Bun burger had Gouda, arugula, and charred red onions. Very hearty. Complex flavors. And i love the malt vinegar mayonnaise that comes with the fries.

I cannot thank you enough for setting it all up and for working so closely with them to sculpt the menu, arrange for the upstairs and deliver the hot and delicious food so swiftly upon our arrival – our pre-order menu worked perfectly, and you and your wait staff went above and beyond to be so accommodating. My teachers were stunned at the quality of the food and the ambiance and said it was their top ranked choice of all the places we ate. I am uncertain what the school’s plans are for next year, but if I or the school returns to the DC/VA area, I will certainly call upon you and return to La Bettola. “I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I was craving sushi while in Washington DC. As I was staying nearby this place popped up on maps and to begin with, I would like to say that they are a very clean outlet, and the staff are very polite. You also get free miso soup on orders over $10.

I got 2 sushis -one was an Ebi maki and the Boston roll . While I would not say this was the best sushi I ever had, they definitely had a lot of other options. It’s a cozy outlet and very vibrant. Good for a quick munch.“

Artichokes, hummus, cauliflower and the chicken were amazing! My brother is vegetarian so they prepared a pad thai for him and he really enjoyed it. “Chip City is one of my favorite spots in Clarendon. I’ve enjoyed many a cookie and ice cream here with a friend. Flavors are always good, and the staff are friendly. The interior is very clean, but not the most welcoming place to sit and eat. Thankfully, there is plenty of seating outside in the pretty courtyard area. Honestly, the cookies are pretty pricey, but it’s what you get for a luxury treat in the DMV.“

“Good place overall but they do run the risk of simply being a pub/college bar vs actually being a Beirhall. The food menu needs to incorporate more German elements and considerably more seating is required to capture the bierhall theme. Too much of the business is a standing bar. Now to be clear thats fine and I'll still go but there is a big difference between a true bierhall and a Balston yuppy bar.“

“I love Hot Lola’s! When they were in Rosslyn, I went all the time, and now that they’ve consolidated to this location, I still can’t get enough. It’s simply the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.
