The creativity behind the sauces truly sets this place apart, and I even heard the chef makes his own soy sauce—which absolutely shows in the depth of flavor. The Japanese uni was beautifully presented, and the tuna was a deep, rich red that melted in my mouth, finished perfectly with a delicate sprinkle of truffle oil. Every bite felt intentional and expertly crafted. I only wish I lived closer—this would easily be my daily go-to restaurant.“

It’s been 10 years since I moved to Virginia, and I have to say, I love it here. That said, I do miss the beaches and the incredible food from Miami. Ever since I moved, I’ve been searching for the perfect spot—a place where both the food and the service are amazing. Let’s be honest, that’s hard to find. Often, the food is great but the service is just okay, or the service is excellent but the food falls short. When looking for a place to celebrate my wedding anniversary, a few options came up, and one of them was Sabores Tapas Bar. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it there at the time and ended up going to two other places—one was okay, the other was awful. Later, I told my wife we needed to try Sabores, maybe on New Year’s Day. Again, we ended up at a “safe” spot we like to visit. The food and service were good, but it was just our usual go-to. Fast forward to last week: my best friend from Puerto Rico came to visit with his family. He loves to eat, and his wife can be hard to please. This time, we decided to go to Sabores Tapas Bar. I’ll admit, I was nervous—I wanted them to have a great experience, but pleasing everyone is never easy. Finally, we went. What can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating. I had high expectations—growing up, my house was always full because my friends came over for my mom’s cooking. She’s an amazing cook. Mom, forgive me for saying this, but Sabores Tapas Bar is as good as, if not better than, your cooking, and the service was amazing. Wow. I’ve found the place. It’s so good that I want to go back and try dishes I normally don’t like, just to see if they can make me love them. I can’t wait to return. My taste buds have found the love of their life at Sabores Tapas Bar.“

“Okay forget Starbucks and paying $7 for a boring latte. Come here- get the pistachio latte and see a work of art presenting as your new favorite coffee. Definitely will be coming back. This was SO delicious.

They also have so much variety of latte (and I happen to be a latte gal). They have Ferrero, Dubai Chocolate, Strawberry Cheesecake, Apple Pie, etc. I had a hard time choosing, but ended up picking up a classic (shoutout to the baristas being patient because I took at least 10 minutes looking through the menu).“

“This place is unique and a delight to have in pentagon row! They have flavors I’ve never had anywhere before. The staff is friendly and the ice cream is made in house and it’s absolutely wonderful! Good excuse to take a walk to try every flavor! Yummy!!!“

“Lovely little cafe hidden away off the main road with amazing coffee. Tldr; if my testament isn’t enough, there is always a line here which more than shows that others besides myself love this coffee shop.

While small, the space is both well utilized and the decorations cleverly thought out. They also host a variety of community events, though I can’t yet comment on those as I’m still waitlisted 🥲.

“We eat here every single time we come to the DC area. It is my favorite place to eat. The Scotch Eggs, Shepherd’s Pie and Guinness Stew are our favorites. The staff remembers us and welcomes us. The owner is awesome. We can’t recommend this place enough.“

I cannot thank you enough for setting it all up and for working so closely with them to sculpt the menu, arrange for the upstairs and deliver the hot and delicious food so swiftly upon our arrival – our pre-order menu worked perfectly, and you and your wait staff went above and beyond to be so accommodating. My teachers were stunned at the quality of the food and the ambiance and said it was their top ranked choice of all the places we ate. I am uncertain what the school’s plans are for next year, but if I or the school returns to the DC/VA area, I will certainly call upon you and return to La Bettola. “I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I happened to be at The Renegade two weeks ago. I love country music so I thought it could be a great idea to show my brother this restaurant. We came from Spain and discovered this place! What we didn’t know is that we would meet Paul, who took care of us and “tour us around” their menu and options. The food was delicious and healthy as well! Artichokes, hummus, cauliflower and the chicken were amazing! My brother is vegetarian so they prepared a pad thai for him and he really enjoyed it. After dinner, was time to look everybody dancing on the floor… With the perfect atmosphere! I wish I could post some pictures!!
