“I had such a great experience at Sal’s Italian Kitchen! The staff was honestly one of the best parts. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in. They made sure we had everything we needed and were always checking in without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about their customers and making sure everyone has a good experience. The service was quick, professional, and made us feel really comfortable. The food was also amazing, but the great staff is definitely what made the experience stand out. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Always my favourite stop on my trip. Every time I'm in the area to see my girlfriend I stop and get soup here, and it's always always delicious. Honestly this time I told her before I came down that I'm excited tk see her, but I'm ever more excited to have soup. 😅 Worth the 4 hour drive everytime 💜“

“We had a lot of fun with the tasting menu. It was multiple course including appetizers and amuse bouche. Pictured below was the first plate of apps/amuse bouche. The turnip cake and pillowy bread was the star here. The little pastries with pate inside were so oversalted to the point they were inedible. I felt this was borderline true of a few of the dishes and the kitchen maybe should have been tasting as they cooked to prevent over-salting. Overall, I thought the food was creative and delicious. It was also artfully presented. Our server Mike was very attentive and helpful, so 5 stars for service. I give a four star overall because the food I think has room for improvement in execution and menu planning. For example; the palate cleanser was a granita and the dessert was a sorbet/ice cream. There could have been more contrast there between the courses. I had one drink I loved (their take on a Manhattan) and one I didn’t (the fish sauce in the passion fruit cocktail didn’t pair well for my personal taste). Overall I would recommend dining here!“

Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. “Excellent restaurant from all angles, a new DC/ Georgetown favorite.

The decor brightened an otherwise gloomy and stormy day. The service was efficient and friendly. Menu labeled for dietary restrictions and can ask server for help. The food (brunch prix fixe with burrata (no bread) and steak eggs) had the right flavors to waken the palate and satisfy the soul and the stomach. Kudos to the right amount of salt on each dish to highlight all the deliciousness. Cantaloupe to Spain was a balanced cocktail with unique flavors and smooth to drink.

Overall a memorable brunch experience and I'll be recommending to friends in and out of DC. Look forward to coming back.“

“If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.“

“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

“I had a wonderful time at Casamara! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the music was fantastic. We were seated at the front, where the atmosphere was excellent. Our waiter was incredible and did more than was expected to make my friend's birthday special; she was very attentive during the whole meal and offered us excellent wine recommendations. All aspects of the food, the service and the general atmosphere were perfect. It's definitely a place I'd recommend if you wanted to have a fun night out or mark a special occasion!“

“My work splurged on us a lunch for us consisting of the Rasa Tantori Tasting Bundle. This meal is advertised as feeding 10 people, I think they are underselling just how much food you get. Were 10 extremely hungry people and then we were 10 very satisfied and perhaps overly full people a few minutes later, with food to spare! Nothing was particularly spicy, there was a little heat on one of the dishes, but nothing crazy. The variety of food is well balanced. Chicken, tofu, saffron rice, Greens, salads, chickpeas and curry with 2 chutneys, even dessert cookies! I recommend this meal if you are looking for an easy way to order a variety of food in one go that can feed 10 hungry, or 14 less hungry people. Especially if any of them are cautious about trying Indian. It was delicious well made. Not to mention conveniently delivered.“

“The music is fine and it plays to a level that allows conversation, there are seats outside for those who like to be al fresco early in the morning. I like the lighting and there is a combination of live plants and an artificial garland inside. I had the ube cake, croissants, the savory bun and they were great. I'm not a fan of donuts but friends rave about them. The coffee is excellent. If you eat in place they serve the pastries on China plates. Do you have a sweet tooth ? Try the vietnamese coffee. Black coffee is your choice - drip, expresso iced and hot are fine and mellow. There is an interesting choice of teas too. When it comes to the banana cinnamon cookie, not so great, took a bite and the prevalent taste was baking soda. Nice touch to combine salt and sweet on the cookie but the baking soda ruins everything. Tried the cookie at the other end and it had no cinnamon flavor. Stick to pastries and you will be safe. Should have got the hojicha roll not the cinnamon cookie but this will be for next time.“
