“I am extremely grateful for the lovely service and exceptional selection at Market on the Boulevard. The sandwiches are phenomenal (the Firehouse and Seven Locks being two of my favorites.)The family and their colleagues that run MotB are extremely professional, responsive, and greet me with enthusiasm and kindness. For years, I arrived every morning, busy and rushing my way to work, and was thankful to see the smiling faces before moving forward with my day.Ms. Donna, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Naomi, and Ms. Mariza have been a part of my local experience for three years now, and I am happy they are a part of the community!“

“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. This place is busy for a reason!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-, dairy-, and nut-containing options are clearly labeled. Ask about other restrictions if you have them.“

“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.“

“This review was a long time coming. I was dying to try out Agora DC after my friend treated me to the Tyson's location for my birthday. Agora Tyson's was some of the best food that I've had in a while, so expectations were high for their DC location. I'm pleased to report, the food quality is identical! That means, A+ all the way around. Please try the chicken, giant prawns, jumbo scallops, octopus and lamb chops.. You'll thank me later!! Both locations have their own charm, but I'm leaning towards the DC version just a hair more because of the the indoor/outdoor seating option. Although I visited when it was cold out, the patio was still booming with the mega heat lamps. It was warm enough to sweat a little...LOL! I've been hooked on Tapas style restaurants since trying out Jaleo many moons ago. Service was great and I've put Agora on my top 5 DC restaurants list.. period!!!“

“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“

“We wandered here after a lazy day hanging out with friends. It's a small pizza spot my husband frequented in Bethesda when he use to live here. The menu is small which can be good and bad. For me it helped narrow down the choices. My pizza had sajook sausage and hot honey. It was sweet, meaty, and very cheesy Yumm! My husband got a play on traditional Turkish pizza which has basically ground meat on bread. Also very yummy. Come stop by! It gooooood!“

“The food was amazing, definitely worth visiting! Brisket, pulled chicken, Brussels sprouts, baked beans… 5/5!But why the hell you add service charge? Why don’t you just write all your business expenses in a bill?! Like, here’s $29 for the meal, 20% service, 30% rent, …I’m totally fine with leaving tips, but it should be for me to decide!“

“I was devastated when I showed up for my reservation today when I realized my reservation was actually for tomorrow, but I left feeling QUITE the opposite. The hostess (I did not catch her name) told us she could squeeze us in as long as we didn’t stay past a certain time (which was so generous and more than enough time to begin with). We ordered our drinks, and when the drinks came, the (manager? bartender? i’m not sure) brought them out and even included a drink he said he created the recipe for yesterday and wanted our thoughts on it! all of the drinks were amazing. the hostess came to our table and told us she even moved reservations around so we didnt have to feel rushed (wish we didn’t to begin with)! it was just so sweet. our food was just as good, if not better. our server (anthony) was so kind.i had high expectations of the food going into dinner but the service was just as great!“

“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!“

“Awesome venue, Afghan dishes were great and reminded me of the food in the middle east. Only issue was they were out of lamb which caused us to change up our food choices. Would prefer if that happened the business would advise you before sitting down. Overall great experience!!“

“St Vincent is consistently a slice of heaven here on earth and my favorite “good in the hood”. The service, ambiance, bites and vino are unmatched. And now that there is live music in the garden, it is in a league of its own. The pop up with the Eritrean chef a few weeks ago was a pleasant little twist and I look forward to more of these curated experiences. This is my go to happy place—-home away from home and I cannot recommend it enough!!! Great date place or just gathering spot with your friends.“

“Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!“

“Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Was able to get reservation for 8 on short notice. Good beer list for draft and canned. All of us were happy with the food: burgers were great, veggie burrito was good, appetizers and salads were all enjoyed. Trivia on Tuesday night and happy hour on Wednesday.“
“Great location and nice looking hotel. Rooms are a bit old but generally nice. The service is bad though. The hotel forgot the extra bed we ordered for our kids. We arrived at midnight and not having a bed ready was bad.Breakfast and restaurant service is the worst: they never had a table for us ready, even though we stayed at the hotel. We were then placed somewhere else without any service. I approached the bar multiple times but was told to wait by my table were nobody ever came. All this for a place that charges +$30 for a single breakfast dish.Very arrogant service as well.“

“Hands down one of the best brunch meals I've ever had. I got the batata with toum and harissa, fried halloumi with apple compote and pistachio, and scrambled egg sandwich with grilled soujak. “The pink exterior of this building is unmissable; it seems to have become a must-visit brunch spot for those living in Georgetown. While we may have forgotten what we ordered, one thing not to be missed is their "spicy honey" - it elevates the taste of the bagel to a whole new level. Seating is limited, so it's first come, first served!“

“Great Breakfast Taco!Visited this place on a Saturday around 11:30 AM. There was a line and we waited about 25 minutes before ordering. Once we ordered, we got the Tacos relatively fast ~5 minutes.I like that the menu is not too broad. These are breakfast tacos, all of them with a soft flour tortilla. They serve 8 different Tacos. I did not know if the tacos were big and I was hungry so I went big and ordered 6. In the end I was able to eat just 4 of them.I think the salsa is something they can improve. I am not fan of the creamy salsas so the cilantro was meh. The charred tomato was just OK.If I come back I would do just 3 and it has to be: 956, Tio Willie and 513.Vegetarian options: There is a Bean Taco: El Frijolito. Not that good.“

“We walked by this place not really looking to eat but the exterior stopped us in our tracks. We looked in and saw all the pastries and decided to make a quick pit stop. We got a Pistachio Meringue Roulette to share. Mistake. Should have gotten one for myself. The flavors work perfectly together. I also got the Strawberry Matcha to wash it all down and I’m still thinking about it. Wish they would bottle that stuff!“

“The food and cocktails were amazing. We have been in the DMV for 4 years and it’s the best Ethiopian I have eaten here (out of about 20 restaurants). The servings were generous and the seasonings were spot on. Try The Builder cocktail for a nice twist on Honey Mead! My daughter found it on a top 100 restaurants in DC and we totally know why. “Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.“

“Nice atmosphere (we sat inside). Food was very good—particularly the ribs and brisket. We also had the sea bass special which was excellent. Service was kind but not very attentive and often attempted to remove plates or glasses before diner was ready. It was often difficult to hear our server due to noise of restaurant and the server's soft voice. We all agreed that we would return and certainly would like to also try their breakfast and lunch.“

“My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Jaleo DC, and I must say that our experience was elevated to a whole new level thanks to the exceptional service provided by Chris. From the moment we were seated, Chris exuded warmth and professionalism. He greeted us with a genuine smile and took the time to explain the menu in detail, recommending some of the restaurant's signature dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. His knowledge of the menu and the ingredients was truly impressive. Throughout the afternoon, Chris ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. He was attentive without being intrusive, always there when we needed him yet allowing us to enjoy our romantic evening without any interruptions. His timing was impeccable, and every dish was served with care and precision. What stood out the most was Chris's passion for his job and his dedication to making sure we had a memorable celebration. He went above and beyond to accommodate a special request we had, making us feel truly valued as guests. In addition to his exceptional service, Chris's positive attitude and friendly demeanor added a wonderful charm to our evening. He made us feel like VIPs, and we left Jaleo DC with hearts full of gratitude and memories that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you, Chris, for making our anniversary celebration so special. You are a true asset to Jaleo DC, and we look forward to returning and being served by you again in the future.“
“I had avoided this place, just 2 minutes walk from my house, for the longest time. First I thought it was a junkfood type coffee and sandwich place. Then when I realised it wasn't fully that, I still thought the name was totally dumb. I did know that I can't keep avoiding it forever, thus, a few months after my friendly neighbourhood convenience store owner heavily talked it up, I went. It is an Ethjiopian-owned spot that caters to the typical coffee shop crowd. They have a mix of normal fare, and some lowbrow version of fusion Ethiopian dishes. I had their altered variant of chechebsa. It wasn't bad as long as I didn't think of it as chechebsa. The place is tiny and quite cosy. I know I'll go back.“

“Saw this place on Instagram thought I would give it a try. Ordered to-go everything was package perfect. Brisket was perfect, the wings were perfect , the burnt ends could've been a little more crispier but they were still very good. We got various sauces but didn't need them at all, everything was juicy and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts must, I would pass on the Mac n cheese, they have a slight kick to it which is not bad but the cheese was gritty. Overall good experience, we will be back“

“Great ice cream with tons of flavors, one flavor for $5, two for $6!Like most places, they offered free samples and I really appreciated the clipboard wall to clearly display all the flavors they had available. There were 3 different freezers, and so many options for cones, shakes, toppings, and even pints to take home ??I really enjoyed the matcha cheesecake and the orange chocolate chip flavors, as well as red velvet cake that had chunks of cake in their ice cream, that I tried but there were so many to choose from that I couldn’t try so I’d be happy to check it out again!Dietary restrictions: Ice cream flavors with nuts are clearly distinguished“

“I went to this restaurant yesterday and I loved it! For 1 the food was phenomenal ( do not pass out the Pastéis de Nata cause they are absolutely delicious) and Manuel, our server, was so knowledgeable and gave us amazing recommendations. For appetizers We had the basket of bread, which was so warm, the caldo verde with their authentic chouriço (would highly recommend trying if you like soup) and the shrimp in a lemon and garlic sauce which was divine. For entrees we had the octopus, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS DISH and the Bacalhau and it was absolutely amazing, it felt like I was back in Europe. The food was so so so good that we just dug into it and forgot to take pictures! But we have one of the Pastéis de Nata, which is the original recipe from Lisbon.“
