“Cozy family-owned neighborhood restaurant w lovely comfort food. Nice open bar for watching sports if you’re into that. Great service! Went after a hike in Great Falls.”
“Loved their fish taco and steak quesadilla! Chips and guac are amazing too! Of course, you can't go wrong with the signature fish taco! They have indoor and outdoor seating.”
“Wild Tomato is such a cool spot. Food is always solid, the people are the best. Crispy clam strips are crazy good, try them. Menu options range from fish and seafood, epically good burgers, and terrific meal size salads, to very solid pasta and meat balls and pizza.”
“I am extremely grateful for the lovely service and exceptional selection at Market on the Boulevard. The sandwiches are phenomenal (the Firehouse and Seven Locks being two of my favorites.)The family and their colleagues that run MotB are extremely professional, responsive, and greet me with enthusiasm and kindness. For years, I arrived every morning, busy and rushing my way to work, and was thankful to see the smiling faces before moving forward with my day.Ms. Donna, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Naomi, and Ms. Mariza have been a part of my local experience for three years now, and I am happy they are a part of the community!”
“A small family owned corner store. Perfect place to stop by and pick up a bottle of wine or some beers. They have a small selection of snacks and the deli is open for some made to order foods (not sure of timing).”
“This place is exceptional. I am a regular visitor for special occasions and every time the food impresses and I am left happy and satisfied. The service is awesome and the atmosphere outdoor is beautiful even in the cold weather.”
“I stumbled upon Tail Up Goat while wandering the streets, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be. Walking in for dinner at the bar, I was immediately impressed by the flawless service. The staff struck a perfect balance between professional hospitality and genuine human connection, making my dining experience truly enjoyable.Unlike some other restaurants where servers bombard you with uppity culinary jargon and $2 words they learned in a staff meeting, Tail Up Goat provided a refreshingly authentic experience. The food overall was excellent, with only one minor hiccup. The pork tenderloin, while flavorful, was a tad dry, possibly sliced too soon. However, even my "least favorite" dish was still enjoyable.Unfortunately, my experience was slightly marred by a small issue. I was offered a glass of bubbles, which I assumed was complimentary but was later charged for. It left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking, but thankfully didn't completely sour my overall experience. It's entirely possible it was just a misunderstanding on my part that I should have clarified.Despite this minor blip, I would still highly recommend Tail Up Goat for its warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and delicious food. It's definitely worth a visit.”
“Very friendly staff. Early happy hour which is a big plus. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was quite good. The chicken was tender and fried perfectly. The hot cherry pepper sauce and slaw went great on top. The fries were seasoned with a dusting of old bay, I assume. I got the Hawaiian Punch which is essentially a mocktail and it was SO good. Not too sweet. Finished it off with the apple pie which is, as you may guess, unconventional as it kind of looked like a cinnamon bun and was caramelized very well. I would recommend eating here. It is a laid back atmosphere. Jeans and a t-shirt are appropriate as well as business attire.”
“Scallops on cauliflower rice(?) was delicious and seared to perfection. Loved the breads and really enjoyed dipping some in the jambalaya inspired paella dish.Happy hour gets crowded and the deal was restricted to the bar area. But we were happy to have a sit-down meal to enjoy a couple of dishes after some oysters.”
“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!”
“Pretty incredible place, the tasting menu was a really great option to go for. Every plate that came out was really delicious and definitely left feeling satisfied with the food and service. There is a hint of over gentrification but you overlook that once you start eating. Really immersive experience and defiantly would go back there when I’m in DC”
“From start to finish my meal was delicious! Very attentive to allergies and making appropriate recommendations. The grilled oysters are a delight! Loved the two drinks I had. The loaded potato with the aged ribeye was perfection. The crepes are light and airy and the caramel sauce adds the right amount of sweetness. I visited the speakeasy before leaving and it was such a vibe. I plan to come again to try other dishes and drinks on both menus!”
“It was fabulous! I loved how much thought went into the meal and the whole place showed the care and love behind the creations. The food and service were spectacular!”
“We loved this restaurant. The food was fantastic as well as the waitress from El Salvador, who was super kind. Price and overall experience was excellent! We will defórmele be back!”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, in a unique atmosphere. Residents has a chill vibe and a Menu that changes with the seasons. Love the small bites. Highly recommend the baby artichokes on the Summer menu! Visited in Summer and Fall of 2022… Residents never disappoints! Highly recommend.”
“Came for their Valentine's Day menu and WOW! They had such a unique and thoughtful menu. Started with a complementary drink. The total course number was seven. Started with a delicious scallop tartare followed by a delicious lobster croquette. The star dish was definitely the personal hot pot with waygu beef. It was cool to get to cook the food at our table. There was also a round of sushi and round of nigiri which featured fresh delicious picks from the chef! To end there was a banana chocolate crepe which was perfectly sweet and had a decadent chocolate dipping sauce. This was a great meal. Definitely pricey but is worth it! Come here for your next big occasion for a treat!”
“Doi Moi is a Vietnamese fusion street food restaurant with a vibrant and modern interior design. It caters to people of all ages who love Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes served at the restaurant are incredibly delicious, and the drinks are equally impressive. Whether you're looking to share a meal with friends or to grab a drink after work, Doi Moi is the perfect spot.”
“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.”
“This is the first restaurant in the US that I was 100% satisfied with. All three types of draft beer were delicious, and although I wasn't able to take a picture of the steak, the quality of the food was great. Highly recommended.”
“Three stars for atmosphere = I like it. We sat outside since we didn't have a reservation. It was dimly lit, nice warm evening, so it was pleasant. The seating was just strange since we were seated right next to a group of loud chatters when there were plenty of seats available. Overall, no big issues.Food was good. I liked the eclectic menu. Decent selection and you can get something from any region of the world. Had kachapuri, birria tacos, argentine asado, and spice bag fried chicken. The kachapuri was rich and beautifully presented. Our waiter stirred and mixed the egg and cheese tableside so it was a sensual viewing for our tastebuds. The asado came out first and alone. Chorizo was well cooked, not greasy at all. Was very tasty. The spice bag fried chicken was good. Lots of fried bits. Kind of cute presentation. I liked that!Birria tacos were not my choice, and not my favorite. Brisket was tender and juicy but lacking spice.”
“This spot was incredible for Sunday brunch with friends! We had the almond croissant as a table app - delicious. Try it. Then we all got the crepes which were amazing. Good service and lovely ambience.”
“I mean, wow. Just wow. The experience here was unrivaled from any sushi place I’ve ever been to. From the very beginning, I had let them know that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and they had a special card printed for us to wish us a happy anniversary and a thank you for spending it with them. The waiter who took care of us was extremely knowledgeable about all of the pieces we were being given, and all of the items had just the most amazing taste of any nigiri that we’ve ever had. The wine list is over forty pages long! Everything about this place is fine tuned for a beautiful and amazing experience, and if you’re looking for an elegant and tasty night out, this is the choice that you should make.”
“Oyster Oyster offers a delightful culinary journey celebrating sustainability and creativity. The menu, focusing on plant-based cuisine, presents a diverse array of dishes showcasing seasonal ingredients. Each plate is thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and knowledgeable.”
“Food was delicious. Bf got the taco with grasshoppers and they were quite tasty. I got their mojito dorado and could've bathed in it with how good it was. Our server checked on us just the right amount and made sure everything was satisfactory. The picture of Anthony Bourdain did almost bring a tear to my eye. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area looking for a good bite and a drink to wash it down with. Will be looking to eat here again the next time I'm in DC!”
“So delicious! Perfect friendly service. Our family of four shared the meat and veggie special for an excellent value even after a long day walking around seeing the sights. Unassuming spot; homey and welcoming.”
“Stop by here for a meal during a conference. The place was really clean and nicely decorated. The food was inventive and nicely put together. Delicious and perfectly spiced.”
“Jack Rose is primarily a whiskey bar. Most people come here because they either are genuinely a high-end whiskey conisseur with money to blow, or they want other people to think they're a high-end whiskey conisseur with money to blow.Aside from that, the fried chicken skins are one of my favorite guilty pleasures and the only reason I ever come here. All of the food is good, but it is also overpriced. Attached pictures show the scallops entree (3 scallops on grits), roasted olives and chicken skins. While there is nothing offensive or inappropriate here, it would be in very poor taste to bring children.Kid-friendliness: I don't know what the place's policy is about kids, but it's certainly not intended to seat or serve children.”
“The service is stellar! The presentation of the food is beautiful and the taste of everything we had was absolutely incredible. So delicious! The dessert topped off the entire meal! Definitely recommend and definitely will return when in DC. Thank you Victor and his team!”
“The entire experience was amazing - it was like front row seats at the theater but even better because of the interactivity. The chefs were talented and fun, the environment was comfortable and intimate, the food was inventive and delicious, the presentation was artistic, and the service was impeccable. Thank you for such a memorable evening!”
“The weather was beautiful today, and flowers were blooming. And this little cozy place was perfect for me. The chirashi bowl was very satisfying... the fish was so tasty and fresh! I don't think anyone can beat this price with the quality of chirashi here. What a surprise... that I could trust Yelp reviews once again :)”
