“Came here for a gf’s birthday dinner—packed house for a Saturday night. Has a very energetic vibe—a bit too loud for my preference. Service was great—our server Miguel was friendly, helpful and attentive!
Overall food was good. For appetizers, we got the Suppli Al Telefono (risotto fritters), Fiore di Zucca (crispy fried zucchini) and Pulpo (octopus). For pastas, would recommend the Rigatoni and Spaghetti, the Ravioli was okay—portions seemed on the smaller side. The Maiale (pork chop) was well flavored and huge portion. The Patate (oven roasted potatoes) were really good!
Birthday girl got a small complimentary “rose”dessert with a candle, was super cute! Dessert wise, we tried the Baba Al Rhum (rum-soaked sweet brioche), it was just okay.”
“This place is perfect for a light, mexican lunch. The prices are also very reasonable for the area. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and it was delicious (and spicier than I thought, which was a nice surprise!)”
“Everything was perfect, the service, food and cocktails! Look forward to returning.”
“Delicious food. There were some times between staffs' table visits that were a bit longer than we would have liked, but we weren't in a rush (nor should we have been!). Overall, service was very good, with frequent water refills and an enthusiastic and informative waiter.”

“I just had my 2nd absolutely DELICIOUS Indian dinner at Virraaj on Cordell. My husband noticed what he thought was a new restaurant across from the public parking last week so we went there for our Wednesday date nite. We went earlyish and only a couple other tables were taken when we arrived but by the time we left at 6:30 ish it was just about full so best to make reservations. Even with many diners, it was still easy to talk to each other and be heard. I started w/ the AAM Palak Chaat appetizer which I had first tasted at Rasika and have ordered every time I have seen it on a menu. Definitely rivaled Rasika's and the portion was big enough to share w/ my husband as an appetizer. My main was the Murgh Bahak/ Kadai Chicken. So tender, so tasty with onion and green and red bell peppers, delicious brown sauce w/ terrific spices plus a little spicy kick. I ate as much as I could and still had left overs for 2 lunches at home. My husband ordered a lamb dish he enjoyed and finished every morsel including the rice. I saw some reviewers would have liked more rice. We had plenty with our meals so maybe they are giving more w/ each dinner. The waiter was attentive, professional, courteous and nice. The restaurant itself was classy & beautifully appointed - you could tell someone put a great deal of thought and money into designing it. This week we had friends visit who live in VA, within walking distance to Clarendon. We always go there for Indian food because there are so many good Indian restaurants to choose from but they were excited to try Virraaj from our comments about how much we enjoyed it. Before ordering takeout, I called and spoke to Jenni 3 times because I wanted to order what I had ordered last week but couldn't remember the name. She could not have been kinder or more patient in helping me figure out that it was the Kadhai Chicken. It may not seem like it from this review but I am a picky eater - happy to pay any price (just about ) for good food but am too often disappointed in Bethesda. Virraag got the highest marks on everything important to me: service, food, and ambiance - all of us enjoyed our meals and noone was disappointed. We ordered pickup for 4 main dishes including my fav Murgh Bahak/Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tawa Masala and Hariyal Murgh Tikka, naan and roti. All went on 2 big lazy susans on the dining room table and we kept on spinning, tasting and enjoying. The wife of the other couple always orders the Butter Chicken and kept on saying how moist and delicious the chicken was tonight. We all tried and liked everything - - not one complaint. So glad that we have a great Indian restaurant to go to and take friends to and not worry that anyone is not going to enjoy -- it is that good!”
“The lomo salteado was phenomenal! The steak was very tender with great roast pepper flavor. They make the flan in house and you can tell. I highly recommend this establishment.
Parking: I use the city garages.”

“Best Gluten free waffles, vegan chocolate spread with fruit are the best , the okey Smokey, baconing baguette and all breads are delicious, owner Jean-Charles very friendly, glad you are in Bethesda”
“We had the best time with server Mike! He was the best. So attentive and made sure we had the best experience. Food was SO good lots of options and the wine was delicious.”
“We are in town for a concert and we came across this gem. The reviews were good so we decided to check them out. The staff was very friendly, nice, & attentive. They made sure we were ok. The food (chicken wing appetizer, chicken chili, lamb chops entree, & lamb vindaloo) was seasoned very well, arrived fresh, and hot. If you’re in the area stop by. Let’s me also mention that the food portions were good and it’s reasonably priced.”

“Dalia's Falafel catered my husband's big bash birthday party last weekend. It was the best catering experience we have ever had, and I want everyone within a 100 mile radius of downtown Bethesda to know about this fantastic establishment located at 7750 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, 20814. Ben, Cody and Kevin provided more than generous portions of outstanding food as well as practical support and guidance on preparing, presenting, serving, and storing their delicious trays of salads, sauces and, of course, falafels. They made the entire experience simple and easy. The value of the service we received was far greater than the fee that we paid -- truly! Please don't hesitate to consider Dalia's Falfel, a unique party option, for your next celebration”
“Awesome food ,great delivery and really fast. Thanks M&N you Rock. From the guy in the black dump truck!”

“The best croissants I’ve ever had. They are very special and perfect to share with loved ones.”
“The only thing I don't like is the location because you have to pay to park, but I guess that's normal for the area since I'm not from around here. But this is my second visit because wow, the food is good! I'll come back if I'm in the area.”
“Delicious food. There were some times between staffs' table visits that were a bit longer than we would have liked, but we weren't in a rush (nor should we have been!). Overall, service was very good, with frequent water refills and an enthusiastic and informative waiter.”
“Great happy hour super baked oysters and crab bisque”
“Mother’s Day celebration with family was especially great because of the amazing atmosphere and awesome service at Barrel and Crow. It was our first time visiting this establishment and certainly will not be our last. Shout out to the owner and her staff.”

“The grilled chicken sandwich with guacamole comes with french fries. It was delicious.”
“The food tasted so good ! We ordered a grass-fed beef burger and buffalo chicken salad. The beef patty was perfectly done, juicy and surprisingly light. The freshness of the salad was top notch.”
“Authentic Cuban food nestled in a quaint spot. The food was on point. Ropa vieja all the way. The drinks were good and the service was very quick. This is a definite place to go over and over again.”
“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service”
“Must try! The location is a challenge to find. You approach a gate community. A security guard will give you a parking pass. Parking in the first lot, and enter where it says “arcade.” Make a right then left. The hostess was friendly. I was able to order my pizza on a kiosk. The pizza was fresh and crispy. The crab pizza is a must try!”
“SUMMARY: This review pertains to the Bethesda, MD restaurant. Excellent pizza with distinctive crust and fresh toppings — perhaps the best in the DMV — and thoughtful service. Definitely worth your time and attention. Dine in and delivery available.
***
I’m in love with Frank Pepe’s iconic New Haven pizza — perhaps the best in the DC area. Crust is thin, crisp on the exterior and chewy on the interior with a bit of delectable char. Toppings are fresh and beautifully proportioned so that ingredients balance each other. Delicious! We dined in, but the extra slices we took home continued to shine when consumed. Loved the onion and bacon pie.
If you’ve not tried white clam pizza or (like me) had a poor experience elsewhere, try it here. Frank Pepe does a fine version — tender clams communing with a delicate layer of melted cheese. One caveat: consume promptly, as the clams may stiffen up with time. (Frank Pepe’s does not deliver white clam pizza, presumably for this reason.)
The White Birch soda is a Connecticut classic: made with spearmint, it is a clear-colored, minty and more refreshing version of root beer. Fun for kids of all ages.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Very delicious authentic dishes especially the falafel. Love the tea. Their excellent friendly service brings my family back.
Vegetarian options: Hummus, Baba Ghanoug (eggplant), falafel, different kind salads, FF
Dietary restrictions: They offer Halal meat, no pork, Gluten free dishes
Parking: It's located in a shopping center, plenty of parking for all. The Handicap spaces are at the door”
“Walked up and they were playing a Tribe Called Quest, so the vibes were spot on. Music the entire time was perfectly in my wheelhouse. Located in a trailer across from an entrance to NIH. Bagel sandwiches were great. Big fan of the Grand Villa, an overloaded PB&J with some added peanuts and sunflower seeds. If you are hungry, try the Mountain View. Egg, a Latke, cheese, and avocado is a wonderful combination apparently. Outdoor seating only with some picnic tables. Parking is scant the two times I have been here.”
“Not many places like this around. A small open kitchen grill with about 15-20 bar stools. The steak and cheese is hands down the best around. And I know the competition. The vibe here is one of a kind. Staff is engaging and treats everyone very well. Highly recommend!”
“GREAT food, and some of the friendliest people in Bethesda! We’ll be frequent fliers...for sure.”
“The Mother Earth, with salmon, is my absolute favorite. Best flavored Ice Tea in the area!”
“Amazing tasty dishes and friendly service. My family loves the Old Gtown Wrap!”
“Love this little place. This is a perfect place for a chill lunch with friends. The service is friendly and fast. The food is delicious. Love the ramen so much. The atmosphere here is really relaxing. It’s never packed and I really love the music. Definitely a must try!”
“This place is fun! ( If you like cookies) all kinds of cookies. Yes they are pricey but the cookies are think and yummy. This company is generous on their chips. Here are some pictures to help with the visual.”
“Best rooftop in Bethesda. Beautiful sunsets and fabulous cocktails! 🍸”
“Gluten free divine. Cafe and shop and lovely people”
“This was the worst service ever here and I have not been back since the last bad service..I took a friend here from Philly and took forever to get waited on. appetizer was not fully cooked.Pizza came out.... my pasta never made it out. never heard a word from the manager ..how sad. male employees were constantly occupying the men's room...the waitress is the only one what was apologetic..my friend from Philly was not impressed and I left mad and disappointed. my third time with this location. Gregorio kishketon”
“If you haven’t tried dolcezza you are really missing out. They have incredible flavor including some adventurous ones that switch up every now and then. Definitely the best gelato place in the area, is it the only one in the area that’s good? ? they also have ridiculously good coffee! I always take a bag home with me to brew. They don’t have a lot of seats inside the store but there is more seats outside if the day is nice.”
“Little gem of a place. If you have the chance to stop in, don't pass it up. You'll regret it. The pizza is always on point, as are the take-home bake selection in the case!”

“The chicken is absolutely amazing!! Axle took great care of us and created such a nice dining experience! I highly recommend!”
“Love this place because I get to be around heroes and patriots that are active duty, retired, guard, and reserves. The food is good and there is plenty of seating. Convenient because NEX, NFCU, and refill pharmacy are all here. The only minor complaint I have is whenever the manager is serving food he is very stingy with the portions.”
“Absolutely creamy deliciousness. I especially love their coconut and their dark chocolate ice creams. They have a couple of nice benches in a garden right outside their door so that you can relax there with friends or family this making the whole thing an enjoyable experience.”
“Great team! They have two super star players Justin and Josh. The customer service is awesome, even in situations when they may be out of stock of something they still manage to make sure your satisfaction isn’t out of stock”
“We been coming here for years , there’s ups and down in there food and service , but today it wasn’t disappointing food was good and our server Carlos was great !”
“Hi dear I like the kids meal 🥘 And pineapple 🍍 mango juice delicious”
“They have super great service!! The workers are all nice specially Ms. Egna who is always cheerful and ready to help. This has become one of my favorite places to eat lunch at.”
“Sun morning breakfast was decent. Sausage Egg McMuffin was good for what McDs does. Service was relatively fast. Hardly any places in mall food court are open for breakfast.”
“Amazing customer service and food! The employees are friendly and helpful!”
“5 stars for 5 reasons
1. The 2 entree and side is perfect!
Beijing beef is delicious and blaz bourbon chicken both were crispy! Seemed fresh
2. Fast service
3. Price is 10.50 for 2 entree and side
4. Good crab ragoons! Fresh
5. Good amount of food.”
“Decent service chinese joint in the heart of bethesda. Was able to walk in the neighborhood. Dishes are around $22 each. Not large enough to share so one per person.”

“Great food and excellent service! Their Japanese organic matcha latte and croissant sandwich were very delicious and refreshing!! If you’re in the area, check it out.”
“YogiTopi is a fantastic spot for a healthy treat! They offer a great variety of flavors, with mango and taro being my favorites. The staff is friendly, and it's the perfect place to bring kids for a fun snack or after a meal at near by restaurants. Highly recommend for a delicious and guilt-free dessert!”
“Nice small cafe with very friendly personal and tasty fresh food. We stopped here for breakfast and loved their bagels and toasts. I would highly recommend them!”
“Outstanding coffee! Great service. Awesome ambience.”
“Located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, this place is a gem! As a coffee enthusiast, I'm thrilled to have found a spot that serves top-notch espresso. Indulged in double espresso and a delicious fresh cannoli.”
“Best deli in town. Owner is so warm sweet and caring. Food is on point. The woman handling the grill does everything with care. Perfect spot for low-key breakfast or lunch.”
“We needed to grab a sandwich after getting off the metro and when I saw the reviews on the Terrace Deli, we decided to give it a try. The sandwich selections are quite inventive. Everything was fabulous. What a find!”
“Berries & Bowls in Bethesda, MD, is a health-focused eatery known for its fresh and nutritious offerings. They specialize in acai bowls, smoothies, and other superfood-based dishes. The menu often features a variety of fruits, granolas, nuts, and other healthy toppings. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, making it a popular spot for a quick, healthy meal or snack. My favorite smoothie is Green Machine, I love it ❤️ Must visit!”
“The staff are super friendly and I've never had a bad experience with their food. The spicy tuna rolls are absolutely incredible and I'm literally in and out with fresh sushi within ten minutes. I highly recommend this place!”
“No matter what time of day, this is THE BEST Peruvian Chicken around!”
“There are a lot of food options here such as hot bar, grilled, wrap. The service is fast. Staff is friendly. The price is reasonable. I ordered grilled cheese and it is good.”
“Olazzo catered a recent birthday party for us. Everything about the experience was first rate. Scott Crivella was extremely helpful in finagling the menu. The food was delivered right on time and was ready to serve. Our guests were delighted with the chicken Marsala, mango salmon, penne marinara, antipasto platter and bruschetta. Everything was delicious and the servings were very generous. We were extremely pleased.”
“Great service, very comforting. Seafood pancakes were good, might need to add some seafood freshness to make it more tasty. But the tofu soup was not flavored enough while it’s good coming in the iron pot.”
“Their signature thing The Gyro is spot on copious gyro meat balanced well with tomatoes, onions and tzatki. The side Greek Salad was tasty but heavy on the greens and a real Greek salad is cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, green peppers. I ordered way too much as the Gyro is a lot. Enjoy! Opa!!
PS Dolmades are cooked fresh when you order and are hot which was me to me, but also spot on. A really good side if you like Dolmades.”
“Overall pleasant, outstanding service, but rice in the set lumch was too dry and not very fresh - needs to use sushi rice.
Parking: Too busy, with many cars and could be hard to find a parking spot.”
“Totally underrated sushi restaurant! I lived in Japan for the better part of my adult life and every time I come to Maki Bar (at least once a month at this point) I'm impressed by the size of the cuts of sashimi, the amount and flavor of the tempura shrimp udon (my go to order!), and all my friends and family I've brought have been equally blown away. Their special rolls have all tasted great too. The Salmon Special is the photo I've attached and was a dream for a salmon lover like me! Can't recommend them enough!”
“Great servers! This was a great surprise to find this place so far south from Maine.”
“southern and northern Italian specialty foods. Chef Ettore the best!”
“Probably THE best Asian food I've experienced by FAR!
Dietary restrictions: I am gluten/dairy/soy/shellfish-free ... Not a great combination for an Asian Restaurant ... But they were over-the-top accommodating!!
Made my entree (which usually has gluten) with an allergy-friendly coating. Made my 'tofu' soup soy-free. They could not do enough for us!”

“I wanted to like Spanish Diner since I'm a huge fan of Jaleo and of Jose Andres, but the food was so lacking in finesse and taste, even for a diner. Patatas bravas was drowning in tomato sauce (I could barely taste the potato or aoli) and the bacalao over eggplant and tomato sauce had little flavor. The ham and cheese was tasty, but nothing to say "Spain" about it...mediocre food accompanied by a hefty price tag will keep me from going back. I'm so sad that Jose Andres missed the mark on this one, unfortunately.”

“The salad at $8.50 was overpriced. It had a quarter of a tomato, just a few onions, and hardly any other veggies. The bread was tasteless. It was served cold and the crust was too soft. The main course of linguine and clams was fine. The service was a little slow.”

“Sammie provided superb service for our lunch today! I really appreciated her problem-solving, can-do spirit, thoughtfulness and kindness!”
“I agree with the positive comments on the food; had two taco platters yesterday. Take out didn't travel well, although tried to be careful, so next time I will get bowls or delivery. Owner, please provide a ramp; handicapped customers have difficulty on the steps, and door is extremely difficult to open. It is very heavy; also squeaks; lubricate hinges. Both employees seemed depressed; no smiles, barely answered questions.”
“Griffin is an outstanding waiter. He served us on .Thanksgiving. He is gracious, kind and top notch. One od the nicest people I have met.”

“Great New England style restaurant that opened in Bethesda and Nationals Park about two years ago. We came for the fried Ipswich whole belly clams, which are not easy to find in Maryland. They were amazing! They also have daily oyster offerings. Fish is regularly trucked and flown in. Seating is also light and roomy. Will visit again!
Dietary restrictions: They have a Gluten-Free menu with many choices”
“The food here is great the pizza is so mouth watering, the service is quick and easy, and the atmosphere is really describing the NYC 80’s atmosphere. I really love this place on my lunch break.”
“This is a popular place so I expected crowding and a high noise level, but my friend and I went before 6pm and neither was an issue. We shared 3 appetizers (they are large so each could easily have been shared by 4), and all were delicious - avocado toast with smoked salmon, bruschetta with goat cheese, and the new Street Corn. Followed by the decadent real milkshakes. Looking forward to leftovers tonight! The menu is huge and varied.”
“My chicken pesto sandwich was great. Simply delicious!
But their water glasses were very dirty and we had to ask for plastic cups (you know it was so bad when you ask for plastic). Their mug had lipstick on it from another customer. So I say to the manager, please check your dishes, change/clean the dishwasher filter. No matter how good the food and decorations are, dirty dishes is not acceptable.”

“We are regular customers, we love the Not Your Average Joe's Bethesda Restaurant variety of dishes and ambience. The female manager is very friendly and always greeting the customers. We enjoyed the October Fest German dishes & drinks; the food was delicious like always! The service was magnificent. We will return definitely. Thanks.”
“Great dogs and beer selection. Cheese fries were also delicious. Would recommend to try this spot if in Bethesda, MD.”
“The food, service, and ambiance are consistently superb. I have never had anything short of a five star experience in all the years I have been a customer.”

“My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.”
“We are in town for a concert and we came across this gem. The reviews were good so we decided to check them out. The staff was very friendly, nice, & attentive. They made sure we were ok.
