“Absolutely delicious! The owners are very kind and the food is great, fresh, and competitively priced. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Will be returning and telling my friends about it. Plus, while you wait for your sushi, you can shop the little mart that feels like a tiny piece of Japan right in Bethesda!“

“Small and hidden, it’s not hard to overlook this local gem. There is no seating, so all orders are takeout. Don’t let it’s size fool you - this is some of the best sushi in the area, and far superior to many larger and more expensive places.
Ingredients are fresh and prepared to order on the spot. There’s also a small market for Japanese foods and snacks.“

“Tried Kusshi in Bethesda recently and overall had a really good experience. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere without feeling too loud or crowded, and the location in Woodmont Triangle makes it a nice spot for dinner before walking around downtown after. Sushi tasted fresh and presentation was really well done. You can tell they pay attention to quality instead of just rushing plates out.
We ordered a mix of rolls, appetizers, and drinks and honestly everything came out pretty quickly. The crispy rice and specialty rolls were probably my favorite part of the meal. Staff was friendly and checked in often without hovering too much which I appreciated.
Prices are definitely on the higher side compared to casual sushi spots, but that’s kind of expected for the area and quality level. Overall a really solid place for date night, dinner with friends, or just when you want sushi that feels a little more upscale than average.“

“I'm changing my review and recommend trying this place now.
My first review was not good because of the service. This time the service was excellent.
We sat outside which is a huge plus in my book. I love sitting outdoors in nice days. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was nice.
The food was very good. It always has been. It was just that the service sucked, but now that it's in par this place is a great option for sushi in Bethesda.“

“With 2 orders of the best Gyoza I've ever had, and the most divine sushi I've had in ages. Maki Maki stands above the best with its smooth jazz, beautiful art, and top tier food. The gentlemen who work her are friendly. I have one complaint and that is I don't have more money to spend and a bigger belly to eat“

“We had a fantastic dinner! Great food and great staff. We had a variety of appetizers and rolls; with the crispy rice, torch roll and Maryland roll being the best! Thank you Linda for the recommendations, you didn’t let us down! We will be back to try Linda’s other favorite dishes. :)“
