“This place was amazing!! My husband and I have been to the AMC movie theater a couple times at this mall and have seen this sushi place and have wanted to try it. It was better than expected. All 4 sushi rolls were great, Wagyu beef fried rice: AMAZING, and also had 2 different Sakes that were delicious. The inside of the restaurant is my dream decor and you can’t even tell you’re in a mall. Our waiter was so helpful and nice and the owner/manager of the restaurant came to talk to us and told us that not many people know they are there. Please visit this place so it can stay open and I can keep going back!“

“The sushi at Takumi Japanese Bistro & Bar was fresh and nicely prepared. The salmon nigiri had a clean flavor, and the spicy tuna roll had just enough heat without being buried in sauce. The chicken gyoza was another good choice, with crisp bottoms and a savory filling. I liked that the menu had more than just sushi, so there were plenty of options for the table. Service was pleasant, although things slowed down a little once the restaurant became busier. Overall, a satisfying Japanese meal in Bethesda.“

“Rakugaki has been our go-to sushi spot! The food is consistently delicious, and even the presentation of the takeout is beautiful and thoughtful. What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff. Denise and Bibi are particularly wonderful members of the team who have made our family’s experiences memorable. They, along with every other team member, have always been kind and friendly.“

“Tried Kusshi in Bethesda recently and overall had a really good experience. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere without feeling too loud or crowded, and the location in Woodmont Triangle makes it a nice spot for dinner before walking around downtown after. Sushi tasted fresh and presentation was really well done. You can tell they pay attention to quality instead of just rushing plates out.

We ordered a mix of rolls, appetizers, and drinks and honestly everything came out pretty quickly. The crispy rice and specialty rolls were probably my favorite part of the meal. Staff was friendly and checked in often without hovering too much which I appreciated.

Prices are definitely on the higher side compared to casual sushi spots, but that’s kind of expected for the area and quality level. Overall a really solid place for date night, dinner with friends, or just when you want sushi that feels a little more upscale than average.“

“I’ve been coming to Aji-Nippon since I was young, as has my father. It’s a Bethesda institution, and one of the most authentic japanese restaurants in the DMV. The food is always top notch, their chicken yakisoba is the best i’ve ever had. The service is good too. Highly recommend!“
