My experience was beautiful, professional, kind, easy going, pleasant, welcoming,inviting and amazing! The atmosphere was the same. My waitress was very kind and attentive. The food was super delicious. I had the Ollie's meat trio flatbread (Pepperoni, Calabrese, Toscano, fresh mozzarella, sweet basil)for a snack and then I devoured the Black Bass(local carrot trio, heirloom fingerling potato, French beans, citrus veloute)for dinner. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and very organized. Best experience ever. Best pre birthday dining festivities. So glad I was in the area and stopped by. I love, love, love, love this place. The bathrooms are no hand entry(wave hand in front of sensor, door gradually opens)and very clean. Apparently the transition from lunch to dinner, the lights are dimmed.“

I was a little disappointed since the robes were different than the images but the bedding and pillows were so soft and luxurious. Gorgeous architecture and wonderful service!“

As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“I’ve been to SOST twice now and I’ll be making it my third this Friday without a doubt. I’ll tell you this was a top tier experience from beginning to end each time I’ve come, but this time particularly takes the cake. The ambiance is so unbelievably warm and vibey, the real standout has to be the music mix and the way it really transcends your dining experience truly. I was sitting in Michelle section and she was such a doll! I felt taken care of and catered to the whole time
I’ll be going back for brunch because I feel like that’s when the food really stands out but as far as I’m concerned, this dinner was 1 of 1.“

For appetizers we had a lovely hummus platter with beautifully warmed pita bread a accompanied by freshly cut cucumber slices and tomatoes; warm Shrimp Saganaki that is served in a light fragrant tomato sauce with feta and a generous portion of grilled swordfish with lemon potatoes and mixed vegetables. We also relished the Greek white wine from Santorini-- it was great! Eduardo was our server; he was attentive and very helpful. Ask to sit with him when you go.“

“Absolutely amazing experience! We reserved two tables - one for our 17 y/o son and his friends. He was celebrating his birthday and the second table for our party of 3. Tony delivered outstanding service to both tables and made the experience so memorable. The cocktails were delicious (the Maverick was quite yummy). The food was incredible. Highly recommend the wagyu dumplings, the lobster tacos and the ribeye!!! The manager came by and checked on both tables which is always a nice touch. They had small bday touches and the most amazing dessert to seal the deal. 10/10! Can't wait to go back. Ask for Tony!“
