“Inside the Nordstrom Department Store at Montgomery Mall resides a secret café that is not so secret. What is probably not known is that it offers full menus every day of the week, and even includes a fantastic brunch selection. I have been to Nordstrom Marketplaces before but had never visited this one. The decor is a little bit dated, with dark woods receded lighting but with huge windows that let the light in. There are both booths and tables to chose from for your seating. The menus are available in printed and online form via QR Codes at the table. The servers present the print versions, so I recommend them. The service is prompt and courteous. When I asked for my mushroom burger to be wrapped in lettuce, they inmediately said it was not a problem (the burger is a blend of mushrooms and beef, with truffle aïoli, Asiago cheese and caramelized onions).I asked for a lemon cookie for desert (which is a Nordstrom Marketplace classic) but they were not ready yet, so they got me a complementary brownie with chocolate sauce. This was a great experience! I recommend everyone to try Nordstrom Marketplace!“

“Food is incredible! Today I had the sweet Potatoes and sausage with noodles and they were out of this world. Certainly a boost to my day and joy. The service crew also super friendly and polite. I've been coming here for lunch and dinner for the past several months and have yet to be disappointed. I greatly appreciate your work!!“

“True to description, it's a cafeteria in a church basement served by nice ladies. The portions are beyond generous for the price. I got a ribs meal for 15 bucks that's a good two BIG meals for me.Ribs were so good, meat just falling off the bone. Enjoyed the yams and the greens too. Didn't have a line when I went there at 11:30 on a weekday.Recommend for soul food on the area.“

“This is my go-to choice when having lunch with friends since we gather for conversation as well as food. The back dining room is pretty quiet even when full. The bacon cheeseburger and the turkey panini were exceptional, and our server was fantastic. We lingered for 2+ hours and never felt rushed. Parking is easy and the setting is attractive. The lunch crowd skews older together with groups of all kinds. Large roomy bar area where I noticed several people working on their computers so this may be a place to have lunch when you need to get out of the office but still do some work.“

Wild Rice Salad
Bison Chili

“The Bison chili served with a cornbread muffin and a flour tortilla was very good. Unfortunately the Mexican wedding cookie had an overpowering taste like plastic or some manufacturing chemical had leached into the cookie, to the point it was inedible. I love Mexican wedding cookies, so it was really unexpected.“

Cold Salad Bar

“This is one of the places to be if you want food near the museums/Mall and want to avoid the overpriced junk food from the food trucks. The buffet (priced per pound) has various mains/sides, salads, soups, and fruits. It's similar to a grocery store hot foods bar/buffet. There are also stations for Korean food, sushi, sandwiches, and more if you want something different. The food was alright, but the selection definitely doesn't live up to the "international" in its name. I wouldn't mind coming back if I'm visiting the area again and not feeling like trekking to other places.“

“A few of my friends and I went for lunch during the week -- it was our first time, and we all enjoyed it. I got the spicy turkey avocado sub: the bread was perfectly toasted, the right amount of crisp with the right amount of soft chewiness; turkey was thick and warm; and the melted cheese layered with spicy mayo made everything come together. Yum.The fries. My favorite kind: super crispy and fresh - I could eat them every day. I asked for a side of spicy mayo with them and it was the perfect combo. Finally, also had the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk - everyone is obviously different when it comes to their coffee, but it was the perfect consistency/flavor for me. One friend got a burger with fries and she devoured it; my other friend got the chicken noodle soup with fries, which she enjoyed very much as well (can you tell we loved their fries??)The ambience was great! It was very busy considering it was around noon, but the three of us were able to find a table. Jaylin, the manager was extremely sweet and always had a smile on her face, as I requested for extra things, like a cup of water, extra sauce, etc. She kept offering a bag and I said no, but I later realized I really should've taken that bag, since I took half of it home. I am definitely coming back, even if it's just to pick up and go - I want to try the other menu & I'm already missing them fries...“
