Bistro Provence Reviews
I attended a private meeting with a three course meal. Very good food, I felt the salmon was overcooked but the chocolate mouse was phenomenal!
Bistro Provence provides a classic French dining experience, complete with the fantastic food, great sauces, and service that helps guide you in the right direction. We were delighted to be able to choose from a selection of specials that did not disappoint. The Chef has the upmost care for the dishes being as good to look at as they are to eat. Fantastic spot if you’re hankering for a quality fine dining evening.

Brutally slow service...it took almost an hour to get our appetizers, which we received only after reminding our server. And then the main course was unspectacular. The tuna was overcooked. I think I've checked the box on this restaurant.

Bistro Provence is a charming French restaurant located in the DC area, known for its excellent and exquisite dishes. The chef personally prepares each meal, and the kitchen can be viewed, adding to the dining experience. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining areas, providing a romantic atmosphere. Standout dishes include the veal chop, duck, salmon, and lamb, while the Sancerre and desserts are also highly recommended.
The restaurant has received mixed reviews, with some customers finding the food overpriced, but many agreeing that the authentic French cuisine is worth the cost. However, there have been some complaints about slow service and bland food in certain instances.
Recent reviews praise the restaurant's amazing chef, who has been cooking for 50 years, and the quality of the food and sauces. The zucchini cake and asparagus soup with Parmesan pudding are highlighted as unexpected and delicious presentations. The owners are described as warm and helpful, and the service is praised as professional and spot-on. Despite some issues with the bread, Bistro Provence is considered a gem, offering a refreshing dining experience that takes pride in its service and food.
