House of Foong Lin Reviews
Fantastic food and atmosphere with a local feel!
We had a great experience here today. Mongolian lamb was very tasty. Also had hot and sour soup and crab rangoon.
Lived in Bethesda for 50 years, now in Bend, OR--where good Chinese food is non-existent. On numerous visits back home, I've patronized Foong Lin with high school buddies--and it always delivers the goods. Last night, we all had hot and sour soup, egg rolls, crispy beef, combination Kung Pao, combination lo mein...and everything was off the charts!

House of Foong Lin is a restaurant with an unassuming storefront but charm and character inside. The friendly team serves a range of classic Chinese dishes, including large portions of cashew chicken and chicken broccoli stir fry. Many customers find the food to be always perfect in quality, and the staff is very sweet. It is especially popular for dishes like dumplings, spring/egg rolls, and chow foon. The restaurant is great for groups, with attentive service, and offers a unique experience with its tiki bar concept, where the Painkiller cocktail is highly praised. The ambiance is comfortable, neither too much nor too little, making it a good spot for a relaxed meal. There is a metered parking lot right across the street, making it convenient for diners. Some have enjoyed pleasant dining experiences, especially with specialties like the Szechuan tofu/white fish hot pot, and others have shared that the Crab Rangoon, General Tso's, and Chicken Lo Mein are decent. Despite some past issues with takeout orders, the restaurant remains a popular choice for traditional Chinese cuisine and a fun, welcoming environment.
