“This was some of the best hot pot I have had in ages!! Both the soup bases (we got the bone broth + Chongqing) felt so authentic and rich, and there was such a large variety of different ingredients, it felt so worth it!! The skewers were absolutely delicious as well.

The owner was so welcoming and kind, he even gave my boyfriend and me a complimentary chicken dish that he used to eat frequently in his hometown. He kept checking on us and on the other guests too - it was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality of the meal and the enjoyment of his guests.

“We have lived here a long time and have yet to find a very good takeout Chinese restaurant in the area. We have had two dinners now with panda bear and I must say they both been outstanding. The food is well presented comes with the proper compliments and is always ready when you get to the restaurant.
We have had a variety of dishes in the two visits And all have been good. We will be making this our first stop for takeout Chinese food going forward“

I ordered takeout to pick up on their website where I tipped (you also sign a receipt where it gives you another opportunity to tip, so just decide beforehand how you want to). The website said it would take about 30 minutes for my order to be ready, and it was ready in about 40. I ordered the wonton soup, a side of fried ride, and the hunan beef. I'm so glad that they have vegan options now (as I'm now vegan!). They have all the old school, classic Chinese-American dishes but veganized. Very extensive vegan menu. “I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it on both occasions. My first was a takeout order which was 2 of their specialty rolls, a red dragon roll and a pink lady roll, both delicious. Today I dined in and had their Yellowtail platter, which was sashimi, sushi, one regular yellowtail maki roll, and one spicy yellowtail maki roll. The meal also came with Miso soup.

It's a modest interior with a sushi bar and a few tables. They offer an extensive sushi menu and kitchen prepped food. The service quick and pleasant.

My only complaint is, it is pricy, but all sushi in general costs more. You'll pay $15 for a grocery store roll, but the sushi here is significantly fresher and higher quality.

So far I would consider this one of the best neighborhood restaurants in DC.“

“DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Tiny portions and mediocre food for insane prices. Do Not Recommend! We waited 15 minutes to be asked if we needed water. then 10 more until they even brought it. The Thai rice was kinda mushy, the Peanut noodles were so so and the Garlic noodles was such a small portion I thought I was being punked which i tried eating made it half way and didnt finish. Then when the staff asked why were weren't eating the food they didn't even bother to comp or just apologize after we told the manager how we felt. You walk into a real family business and although most people just order take out we decided to eat in.
The girl at the counter was cleaning tables and the floor and we were pleasantly surprised by the man who came with some water and to take our order.

Since it was busy it took a little bit longer but it did not disappoint!!
Served on a real plate, fresh hot and tasty.
The orange chicken sauce tasted like real oranges and reminded me of the orange duck in Spain.

“I ordered the veggie dumplings and veggie soup with tofu. The dumplings were good. However, I was disappointed that dumpling sign says mix and match and lists the price as $5.95 for 6 and $9.95 for 12, but when I asked for 12 and asked for half steamed and half fried they charged me for 2 orders of 6 instead of one order of 12. The sign is misleading. They said I couldn't mix and match at the $9.95 price because they are cooked differently. I'm aware. But that's also not mixing and matching. That's just ordering 2 orders of dumplings. The soup was good but felt like it needed something extra. The remaining dumpling sauce, soy sauce, and hot chili sauce made it perfect.
