You walk into a real family business and although most people just order take out we decided to eat in.
The girl at the counter was cleaning tables and the floor and we were pleasantly surprised by the man who came with some water and to take our order.

Since it was busy it took a little bit longer but it did not disappoint!!
Served on a real plate, fresh hot and tasty.
The orange chicken sauce tasted like real oranges and reminded me of the orange duck in Spain.

“This was some of the best hot pot I have had in ages!! Both the soup bases (we got the bone broth + Chongqing) felt so authentic and rich, and there was such a large variety of different ingredients, it felt so worth it!! The skewers were absolutely delicious as well.

The owner was so welcoming and kind, he even gave my boyfriend and me a complimentary chicken dish that he used to eat frequently in his hometown. He kept checking on us and on the other guests too - it was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality of the meal and the enjoyment of his guests.

Food was great I ordered a bento box it was great sizing and portions food had flavor it tasted good husband ordered chicken and shrimp meal he was satisfied as well. “I just ordered takeout from China Express for the first time and I am happily surprised! I ordered takeout to pick up on their website where I tipped (you also sign a receipt where it gives you another opportunity to tip, so just decide beforehand how you want to). The website said it would take about 30 minutes for my order to be ready, and it was ready in about 40. I ordered the wonton soup, a side of fried ride, and the hunan beef. I do think that I was given the hunan chicken by mistake, but no complaints because it is quite good. The wonton soup is definitely the star of the show— highly recommend!“

Make sure you ask for TWO eggs on breakfast sandwiches since they usually only use one egg. In NY, all breakfast sandwiches standardly are made with two eggs. I'm sure the shop pays high rent and taxes and happy to support a local business in the Inova hospital location.“

“I like northern style chinese dumplings. Ones where the dough is thicker and doughier. I’ve been looking all over DC and this is the first place that has one. Is there a little less filling? Yea. But imo i don’t care because they taste great and what im looking for.
