“Great staff, great owners, great food! Hands down, this will be our go to spot! Their food prices are fair, and the happy hr prices are the best in the DMV as well! A friend an I went to this location for the first time, and we loved it. Definitely recommend!”

“Quickway Japanese Hibachi is a solid go-to for a quick, affordable meal. The food tastes decent, especially considering the price point — around $10 gets you a satisfying meal. Their yummy sauce is honestly the highlight; it really elevates the dishes.
My main gripes are with consistency and cleanliness. Wait times are unpredictable — sometimes you're in and out in a few minutes, other times you're waiting 15 minutes for no clear reason. I'd also encourage the staff to pay more attention to hygiene, since this is a food establishment. The floors and tables are often dirty, with food leftovers left sitting around more than they should be.”

“I honestly don’t leave reviews often, but this KFC location truly deserves one. The food was great, and the customer service was even better. I’ve been here twice, and both times the experience was nothing but positive. The staff is friendly, communicates well with each other, and works as a team, which really shows. My food was prepared quickly, and everything was fresh. It’s refreshing to see that there are still places that truly care about good customer service. I’ll definitely continue coming back to this location.”

“If you are hungry and can’t find the best restaurant near by, you can go this buffet. Not really clean because it’s busy on the weekends I think.”

“The leadership at this location engages with their team in a manager that encourages growth and community. The staff welcomes customers upon entering the store, and I love the recent renovations. There are enough regulars that visit this location that there is an added layer of community that is easily witnesses. The music is fantastic but not too loud. And I can count on fresh, hot food and drinks. The dining area is spacious compared to the location on King Street and it's clean! The bathrooms, however, are not. No matter how early or what time of day, they always smell like urine. There are not toilet seat covers, and there's often no toilet paper. It's a super busy location, so maybe the manager needs to hire an outside company to clean them. I still recommend the location; just be prepared for limitations in the restrooms.”

“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!”

“I enjoyed the green zone, it had me flying high. Flying high when I tried their coffee drink. There was so much in it I don’t even know what to call it, but look at the picture, it looks delicious. I payed a pretty penny for it too, but pennies I got. This place cost a lot of green so bring your wallet, credit card too. Have fun, it’s good (at least their coffee drink is).”

“Hands down the BEST bar in DC!! I’ve seen great reviews online, but the experience was even better than imagined. The place is cozy and intimate. When you walk in you immediately feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home. The aesthetic, the playlists 1110/10. The staff are all beyond kind and friendly. Danny immediately made us feel at home as he explained the personal story and flavors behind each drink. I cannot say enough about how great the ambience, service and drinks 110000/10. The baked Alaska is a MUST TRY. I’ve never had anything like it before and cannot describe how priceless of an experience it was. Also, you can ask for a little gato on your drink and take it home for a small adoption fee!! Can’t wait to go back again!!”

“Service and atmosphere were excellent.
The food did not live up to my expectations of Hong Kong/Cantonese flavors... We found this restaurant through the Eater channel on youtube. After our meal, we decided the food was better described as French cuisine with HK influence. I honestly wanted a little soy sauce and rice vinegar with everything. Umami was largely missing from every dish except the duck noodles.
***The chili oil was delicious, floral with balanced heat.***
Split between 2 people:
-green beans (Fine, good texture, but needed more acid to balance rich sweetness. The topping of pickled anaheims were not enough to balance the entire plate),
-dumplings (gentle truffle flavors and nice sweetness from the espuma, but overall unremarkable)
-scallion pancakes (little to no allium flavor, dough was tough, lacked flakes/delicate texture, lacked salt and acid in the sweet tamarind sauce)
-daikon fritters (overwhelmingly bland and dry, needed a dipping condiment)
-Duck noodles finally had some flavor! (But the duck appeared smoked, closer to pastrami... tasty, but not what I expected from duck noodles at an HK restaurant.)
The wine was good. I did appreciate the selection of natural wines.
Overall we were disappointed based on our expectations for and previous experiences with HK/Cantonese dining. The textures and flavors reminded me of a low sodium, easy to chew menu prioritizing French techniques and flavor profiles.
Table condiments (besides chili oil) would have fixed most of my complaints, but I felt embarrassed to ask based on the atmosphere. I felt that my personal culinary tastes were misaligned with the deeply thoughtful and dining experience.
We were not the target diners for this fine establishment, but I recognize the passion, excellence, and personal intention behind every design and culinary choice at Queen's English.”

“Easily one of my top five dining experiences, anywhere. I've eaten at some of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in NYC, Philly, and D.C., and days later I'm still thinking about my meal at Albi.
The BBQ lamb kebabs were a core memory taste moment. Honestly, they may have ruined lamb for me anywhere else.
Other standouts: the sfeeha, foraged mushroom hummus with wood-fired pita, batata harra potatoes, bbq prawns, knafeh, and the super intriguing urfa biber caramel soft serve (a must if you're into sweet and spicy desserts).
Beyond the food, the service was just as memorable. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server Todd was a total gem.
Can’t wait to return.”

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.”

“Unexpectedly outstanding vegetarian menu. The eggplant nigiri sauce was memorable, followed by refreshing radish-wrapped vegetables. Toasted rice beautifully complemented the creamy panna cotta. The entree was the best; the bamboo texture was just right. Pickled mushrooms had good bite, their acidity blending perfectly with leeks and cilantro sauce. Perfect ending with a refreshing sorbet and rich chocolate.”

“What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! We ended up dancing on the floor to a few songs before we left 😂 Thank you Hook & Reel for such an amazing experience. The next time we are in the area we are FOR SURE coming back!”
