“I was highly satisfied, I usually don’t ask for my pizza to be ran through twice but since it had chicken on it I asked for it to be ran through twice just so it could have that well done texture to it. They perfectly re ran it, it didn’t taste burnt at all. The flavor was amazing, friendly staff & clean restaurant. I highly recommend this &pizza location!”

“As a recent transplant to Northern VA, things natives take for granted I find weird. Terrible traffic and the lack-luster behavior passing as customer service. My Safeway (yes--Mine...'cause I like it), has friendly employees. Not creepy 'too nice' robot people, but the real kind of attentive employees. The woman at the checkout who teases me about how much ice-cream I take home in one trip. The employees who know I can never remember the difference between hot peppers: they explain it to me at least three times a month. Yeah, the produce is fresh, the meat is prime and well priced. Oh, and their sour dough round loafs are excellent...just sayin. So, their goods are typical Northern VA fair: excellent quality and a touch more expensive than I'm used to, (but no more expensive than any other grocery I've been too). But I like Safeway (yes, because it's close to my house), but also because I feel like the employees see me. In an area with too many crazy drivers and frustrated fellow customers, being seen is no small thing.”

“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. “Great ambiance and service in this Michelin star restaurant with food to match. We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes. My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.”

He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. “I had Ethiopian cuisine on my bucket list for real long time, but since I couldn't find much time to visit any Ethiopian restaurant in New York city, I decided to go ahead with the one in Washington DC!Initially, I was a bit hesitant to order the meat dishes since my last adventure with African cuisine wasn't a great one. Glad that Ethiopians have a good amount of vegetables in their diet which helped me make a safe and easy choice to go with!I went ahead with their traditional veggie platter, which consisted of 2 vegetables, 2 lentil dishes and a salad served over Injera( basically the Ethiopian version of dosa: An Indian dish and a much softer one instead of crispy). The vegetables served were cluster beans along with cabbage and potato. The cluster beans felt right out of my home kitchen whereas the potato was undercooked in the cabbage one! The two lentil dishes served out of which one was the spicy one and the other not spicy. I loved both of them. Honestly, I never thought it would be so close to traditional Indian cuisine as a result I also let the server know the same. The server was pretty friendly and was happy to guide me through their menu while providing quick service. The restaurant though feels like a homely vibe with close seating and the ambiance being that of a family home.Overall, an amazing experience for me with interesting thing being it felt like having a home cooked meal rather than eating at a restaurant!”

Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen! The karaage is a MUST-TRY it's so incredibly crispy on the outside but perfectly juicy on the inside. It's also paired with a yuzu dipping sauce and it brings the chicken to a whole other level, 10/10. My favorite ramen is the Spicy Tonkotsu because it includes a house made chili spice that really brings a nice kick to their traditional Tonkotsu broth. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu because each type of ramen is so incredible in its depth of flavor.”
