“Tried Ruthie's for the 1st time yesterday. I'd read many good reviews (understandably) but had never tried it. What a great find! It is light and airy. The service is friendly and efficient. The menu is interesting with a good variety. My salad was delicious and so large that I took half of it home for another meal as I saw others doing as well. My husband's barbeque was equally delicious. We will definitely be repeat customers!“
“If you love a good brisket...this is the place to go. I have had their brisket before when they catered from their home and to see them have a store presence now...they deserve it! Their brisket is juicy and deliciously seasoned. We tried the sandwich, chili, and mac n cheese with the brisket. The chili had too many tomatoes, but the other 2 were fantastic! We also tried their Dino Rib, this was a bit tough to chew. Cornbread was served with each dish, which was delicious and well made. Definitely go check them out, it's worth it! And they serve all halal.“
“This was our second time eating at Gyu San and we've had a great experience both times. The option are great. We did two different pre sets for a party of four and it was a perfect amount of food. Everyone got their favorites - to include beef tongue - and got to try something that may not have otherwise tried. In addition we had grilled edamame - absolutely the best edamame in the area.“
“Had been away for a while (I used to to their affiliated restaurant Burger Delite before it closed) but had been craving a good half smoke forever. Ahhh...just like old times!! The smokes are still great and I had my long time comfort food, a fried bologna, egg & cheese on toast and some potato wedges. The place is still a precision clockwork machine and the prices are still affordable even in these times. Because it closes a 6 PM I can only make it there on Saturdays (or the occasional doctor's appointment day) but it is still one of my cherished spots. Long live Weenie Beenie1!!!“
“Neighbourhood Restaurant serves awesome Korean food with ample vegetarian preparations. The staff are super great, adaptive and go extra mile to ensure the dish you ordered prepared and served to best satisfaction. Highly recommend if you are vegetarian and must visit if you around DC, worth the drive for a quite and nice dinner“
“I came here for dinner a few weeks ago, and got the barbeque beef brisket. Regarding the brisket, I love how the juices were kept in, which complemented well with the smokiness. The meat was really tender, but had some parts that were a bit undercooked. I wish they could do something about the bitter aftertaste though as I tasted a bit of charcoal in my mouth. This place is good, but I wouldn't say it was worth the price, and there's definitely better barbeque places.“
“It was the first time for us to go to Gyukaku in the US although we tried them in Japan several times. They have a different menu from the Japanese one and the dipping sauces on the table are also different but they keep the Japanese service level which we expected, so we were glad to come here to enjoy the Yakinuku BBQ.We were tempted to order the all you can eat in a hour because it looked like a good deal. However we are pros so we decided to order the cuts of meat that we like the most. All the cuts were great and marinated well. The cooking surfaces were cleaned and they even replaced it during our meal so that all the food can cook cleanly and properly which we appreciated. The matcha cake was also good and would pair well with a plum wine sake.Would recommend coming here to give the diy Yakinuku a try in DC.“
“Had a great time here. I sat at the bar even though it wasn't crowded on a Sunday evening. I had the Barbaca Tacos and an Apple Jack's martini to drink. Both were good, and the smoke bubble show was amazing. The tacos come with one side, so I selected fries, and every meal comes with cornbread and peach butter. If you're in the Arlington area looking for good BBQ. I would check this one out.“
“Delicious, handcrafted and tasty BBQ. Good smoke but not overpowering. Sauces that complemented meats very well. Professional and attentive staff. Fair prices, high quality and plenty of food. Love what Joe and Mandy do at Sloppy Mama. Neighborhood gem. We hosted an event at Sloppy Mama. Will do again.“
“Absolutely delicious and many gluten free options (all 3 of the BBQ sauces are GF). I had the meat sampler with sides of collard greens and Mexican street corn plus deviled eggs as a starter - everything was amazing!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options!“
