“Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.

We got the wagyu brisket, spare ribs, and pulled lamb nachos with sides of macaroni and brisket beans. Everything was terrific, but the standouts were the ribs (fall off the bone and rubbed to perfection) and the macaroni (gooey, rich, and perfectly cooked).

We came here on Independence day because whats more patriotic than eating Texas BBQ at a restaurant called 2fifty on America’s 250th birthday? Line was out the door, but it was so worth the wait. 1000% would recommend - just pray they don’t run out of meat before you get yours!“

“When I tell you that’s I’ve been looking for some good authentic bbq, I have! And, I’ve been disappointed up until now. I decided to give DCity Smokehouse a try. I got the smoked wings, ribs, and collards. The meats has a nice REAL smoked flavor, seasoned to perfection, and the collards were on point. I look forward to trying more food items from the menu. I highly recommend!“

“I'm a proud Royal Rooster regular and the food is always superb. I'm particularly fond with the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. The family that runs the restaurant are extremely welcoming and hospitable. I always feel at home when dining.“

“Don't miss this place!!! You blink and you could drive right by it and that would be a loss. All the food was so yummy and tasted freshly made. The meats weren't greasy or tough. Moist, seasoned perfectly, and came to our table quickly so it all was hot. The loaded fries weren't soggy or to heavy. Great sides. Overall we'd come again.“

“This review is only for the SMOKED WINGS. They are the best in the DMV for more than 20 years. It’s all I get. With the spicy bbq sauce (and I don’t even like barbecue sauce—seriously). Do yourself a favor and give them a try if you’re ever in the vicinity. FYI: It is a carry-out (grab and go).🛍️

Note: I’ve had a few sides that are fine, but I’ll say you be the judge. However, the mac and cheese is trash. Kraft box-ish. I would never.“

“We stopped for lunch yesterday after leaving the zoo. The aroma when we opened the door hooked us from the start. Our waiter, Courtland, was amazing and took excellent care of us. His recommendations were spot on. The food came out hot, fast and delicious. I have no idea when I’ll be back in DC again, but I know where I’ll want to eat when I am.“

However, an automatic 18% gratuity was added for our table of three and wasn't mentioned by our server — we nearly tipped twice before noticing. I'm someone who routinely tips 20%, so clearer communication would have been appreciated. The service was also inattentive, which made the automatic charge frustrating.“

“I decided to give this place a try this past weekend. I ordered the Swachos to-go, and they were absolutely outstanding. The cheese on top was delicious, some of the best I've had. I was only there a short time, but met some people who invited me to a nightclub. I'm glad I chose this place and highly recommend the Swachos. The only drawback was that it was hard to access, due to the extreme traffic of people in the area.“
