“I decided to give this place a try this past weekend. I ordered the Swachos to-go, and they were absolutely outstanding. The cheese on top was delicious, some of the best I've had. I was only there a short time, but met some people who invited me to a nightclub. I'm glad I chose this place and highly recommend the Swachos. The only drawback was that it was hard to access, due to the extreme traffic of people in the area.“

“I was super hungry and saw BBQ and Boba. My first reaction was confusion as to the combo, but after realizing that I and many other people like both, I asked no further questions and followed my grumbling stomach. I am VERY glad that I did! Atmosphere is sparce and simple. You go in, get your food, and find a place to eat it, but it feels appropriate for this style of food- equal parts bbq shack and boba stand. I got the brisket sandwich, which was a very generous portion of supremely tender BBQ with a complimentary sauce and even a bottle of water which seems to just come with the order (nice touch). The stand out to me was how tender the brisket was. Packed with flavor, and not a single bite was remotely dry. The cinnamon toast Boba was delicious and a fantastic compliment. The staff friendly and attentive. Please support this place!!!“

“I eat at Iron Age every time I pass through DC. It is an awesome experience with great food. The price is also very good at $30 for 90 minutes. I just can't order the shrimp because it is whole shrimp with eyes and all.“

“Heard it was open and came here on a whim. Food was 10/10! I’m from the Texas so if I’m getting southern food from a restaurant like this I have high patience. But this place Matt and exceeded it all! We had the cornbread deviled eggs, crab dip, and burnt ends to start. The burnt ends change our lives! I would come back for a plate of that alone. The drinks are pricey but size matches the price. For the meal we had the brisket and burger and it was divine. Side note- I’m very particular about BBQ sauces when I eat out because it makes it breaks the meat for me, but this sauce is the best I’ve ever had besides what I make it home. Can’t recommend this place enough. Not sure why the rating is so low, but I promise you it deserves a much higher rating.“

“I'm a proud Royal Rooster regular and the food is always superb. I'm particularly fond with the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. The family that runs the restaurant are extremely welcoming and hospitable. I always feel at home when dining.“

The sesame seed bun was perfectly crisped at the edges and the complimentary cole slaw and bbq sauce were very nicely seasoned.I recommend you try this place for lunch or dinner when you want delicious meat sandwiches and platters!I didn’t have room for the gorgeous key lime pie in the case but I will be back for it and will update the review! I expect everything to be as delicious as it looks here.Ps, the girl working the carryout counter was friendly and efficient, and more than earned her tip by her smile and her knowledge.“
