“Saw this place on Instagram thought I would give it a try. Ordered to-go everything was package perfect. Brisket was perfect, the wings were perfect , the burnt ends could've been a little more crispier but they were still very good. We got various sauces but didn't need them at all, everything was juicy and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts must, I would pass on the Mac n cheese, they have a slight kick to it which is not bad but the cheese was gritty. Overall good experience, we will be back“

“Not too welcoming in 2024, I applied there when they first came to the neighborhood . lot of white people, then I figured out why they didn't hire me you but you never know the Pearl and the oyster. I hope they change their practices. Expeditor could manage your time a little better especially when you got gumbo and salad, and then the barbecue comes out cold. It lessens the experience of having to take it home and warm it up. But those biscuits stop me in my tracks.“

“No frills hipster-ish beer garden I've been coming to for over a decade. Dog friendly and lots of picnic benches to share with strangers, which is fun. Their food is so unbelievably good-I recommend this place to anyone and everyone; it's one of my favorite spots in DC. I usually get the corn (it's gotten pricey), pulled pork or cubano and it's always delicious. While I will continue to come back, the place really needs some TLC; especially the bathrooms.Anyways, come here, you'll love it.. maybe wait to go to the bathroom some place else“

“Stayed simple and got the brisket sandwich combo with a side of chili. The brisket was a lot dryer/harder than I expected, I wished I got the pulled pork instead. And the chili was honestly average. I tried a bit of the mashed sweet potato side and that was excellent! This place is pretty much self serve, you go up and get the food yourself. And the decor is very country, almost as if it wasn't in the middle of the city.“

“3.5 rounded up to 4. Over the years have been to all their locations including Nationals Park and also had their food truck experience. Food: their meats are excellent. Really good smoke on them and juicy. Tasty enough without an sauce. Their approach to brisket is different. They slice it very thin which brings out the smoke flavor even more in my opinion. However, I find their sides to be lacking. They are just there so to speak. Nothing impressive. Service has always been good. Prices are competitive.“

“Edwin Mendoza's customer service was incredible. The man understands what it truly is to give an experience with the food. As a first-timer, he walked us through it and ensured we weren't overwhelmed with unexpected portions since it was our first time. This store has a hidden gem, and it's him. My daughter cried, and he got her a popsicle to brighten her day. I feel that often, servers see customers as just another person to get a tip from, but Edwin makes you genuinely feel like a guest at your home. Honestly, the impact he left my wife and me every time we visit Washington DC; this will always be our go-to spot Korean BBQ place if you want great food, excellent service, and a personal experience asked for Edwin.“

“Great local bar with friendly staff. We stopped in when we were visiting because they play the Bills games. We only had drinks but they did serve some delicious looking chicken wings that everyone was eating during the game. I enjoyed some local made craft seltzer. Stop by for a drink if you are in the area.“

“The following were super yummy: 1. Brisket 2. Rib tips 3. Smoked turkey 4. BBQ sauce I’m not used to sweet collard greens. They were not bad, just not used to them. I ate them all. May not order again, but doesn’t mean I would comeback not again… maybe to try the other sides. Pickles had a sweetness to them. Not bad, but don’t look to me given I’ve never been a fan of sweetish pickles regardless of where they come from. The brisket made me happy. I would love to try the Turkey in a sandwich. The ribs tips were perfection. I purposefully saved my extra sauce because it is that yummy.“

“We had a great time at Iron Age. The staff are excellent and helpful! The marinated meats were fantastic.I only wish that they make two small changes:1) since certain meats on the menu need to be cooked on different surfaces, I would have liked to organize my servings by cook type to prevent waste, and time loss.2) the menu link from the QR code, is blurry when you try to read the meat descriptions (to see which ones are marinated or not)“

“EJ was incredibly nice and helpful, all the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Dan was exceptionally polite and crafted excellent drinks. Despite our large group, we were served in a timely manner and with great attention, had an amazing night!“
