“Been to Guy Shige in the Mosaic District a bunch of times, and it's always a hit. This time, I grabbed some sushi, and man, it was the right move! The sushi was mega fresh, and the flavor was next level, especially with the real wasabi they grate on the spot – totally beats the regular stuff. Also had the oolong peach cream cake for dessert, and it was just perfect – the tea and peach combo wasn't too sweet or anything.On a previous visit, we tried the Wagyu. The waiter showed us how to enjoy it with a bit of pink salt and wasabi, and it was mind-blowingly good, way better than any ribeye I've had.Guy Shige is definitely my favorite spot for those special nights out. “I've eaten at many locations prior to this and the food is always tasty! I'm finicky about BBQ. I like my sauces sweet with a touch of bite to them.. Originally drawn to this place through my parents who are both Veterans and ate here on Veteran's day. I love the staff's exuberance and customer service oriented approach. I LOVE ribs, specifically meaty, juicy, fall off the bone St. Louis style and Mission BBQ does them very well! I typically get a Rack and a Half to share but I love that you can get them in smaller portions! The standard sides are delicious. I always get a bunch of the various sauces when I order takeout and they are NEVER stingy about sauces! The managers are talkative and walk around making sure the customers are happy with their meals. The Pulled Pork or Pulled Chicken sandwiches are juicy and their slaw adds that tang! Next time I go, I'll make sure to take photos!Parking: This is a shared parking lot, it can be tough to find an open spot around lunch or dinner time directly in front, but the side lot has more open spots since it's on the end of the shopping center!“

The ribs were so juicy and just fell off the bone. The seasonings were mind-blowing. They also had outdoor seating, and we were so tempted to sit next to the cherry blossoms, but there was a chance of showers, so we opted to dine in. Their menu board is always up-to-date. When we walked in, we knew they would be out of their brisket because the menu board said, “Brisket available after 4 pm.” They also explained that there was a lunch rush and the brisket sold out.The Service: Nicest human beings ever. I felt like I was talking to my next-door neighbors. “Dining at this Korean bbq for the first time. We had a large party and we were able to get reservation on the same day and it was on a Saturday. When we arrived we were immediately seated. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food came out relatively quick and as we were grilling the food our waiter came back to check on us to put in our next order so by the time we got done with our current order on the grill the next batch of food came out and not waste any time since we get like 1.5 hrs of dining time. My favorite was the beef soup with daikon. It was by far the best one I’ve had so far among all the k bbq I went to. The fatty beef was also my favorite and the honey butter squid. They also have a masala chicken which taste like curry but it’s decent and the pork belly marinated in cumin. I would definitely come back to this place when i visit VA next trip.“
“Out freaking standing!!!!!I was in town for business, decided to grab some barbecue, and I was blown away by how awesome this place is. From the moment I walked in the restaurant the staff greeted me with a smile and explained the restaurant, their food, fresh cut fries and everything as I was a first time visitor. I got my food and it was delicious barbecue. Being from Kansas City I have to admit this is really good barbecue. Even the general manager heard I was a first time customer and walked over and thanked me for coming in. This visit couldn’t have gone any better. You must go if you haven’t been . HUGE 5 STARS!!!“

“This is THE kbbq place!! We came around 3pm on a Sunday and we were seated almost immediately, but it was still quite filled. I imagine it's packed during peak hours. When we were seated, they already had side dishes for us on the table which was nice. We got Option A ($33 ea) for the all you can eat, worth it 100%. The portions are bigger than what I expected and they aren't stingy at all with serving you more. I'd fully recommend the beef brisket. The servers are ALL extremely attentive and polite, and I happily tipped generously due to the great service. Most tables are shared with another group but separated by a window, which I could see bothering some people, but it gives a pretty casual feeling.Parking: The parking lot is medium-smallish next to the restaurant.“

Our favorite was the brisket and the bulgogi. It was sort of empty and we didn't need a reservation but we made one anyways and they had everything ready for us when we got there. The owner, Michael, and his entire staff are incredibly professional & provide wonderful services. Everyone at our wedding commented on how amazing our cocktail hour & reception food was! Michael welcomed my husband & I in for a tasting early in the process which was equally delightful -- himself & his staff were again so kind & professional. Every little change that came up during the planning process leading up to wedding day was quickly included & noted by Michael & team. We appreciate how accommodating & flexible this team was on a day where there are so many little details. We cannot stress how highly we recommend Helga's for your wedding.
