Hotpot soup of the “mala” kind from this shop is one for the legend.There are two ways to feel a paralytic tingle in your tongue and one is to have a malatang soup like this that adds lots of sichuan pepper powder of the “paralysis” kind. Unfortunately most Chinese restaurants are unfamiliar with the exact ingredient to maximize that sensation while keeping the spice and other flavors level manageable. Ordered from here to augment our ramens ordered from another vendor. Had the lamb skewers and fish cake skewers, both tasty. Would order again, but looking forward to trying the squid or beef.
