I’ve always heard good things about Uncle Julio’s. So I decided to give it a try when I was in Arlington for a business trip. My experience was just okay. Some things about the food were really good and others were just okay. Wait staff was great, hostess was awkward. The atmosphere was a mix between family dining and a lounge, I found it odd. Also it’s very pricey to be just okay. I ate there by myself and my meal was over $40 including a beverage. For just me.
We came in on Saturday afternoon, my friend got the steak fajitas and I got the taco salad with ground beef. I asked for no corn and to substitute it with cilantro rice. They added corn and didn't give me rice. The tortilla shell tasted like corn too even tho it was flour. The beef was cold.

We are from South Texas - so I know good Tex-Mex. Love the flavors that we get from UJ's! Always delicious and always hot/fresh! We actually haven't ever eaten in the restaurant-just take out. But who we HAVE interacted with have been friendly. Tip: if you want refried charro beans you can ask for them. ;)
