Kusshi Arlington has fresh, flavorful food that is beautifully presented and well‑prepared. The sushi and appetizers receive high praise, with the smoked salmon described as the best and the shrimp and veggie ramen noted as very flavorful. Brunch sandos were absolutely fantastic, especially the strawberry matcha sando, a favorite brunch bite. The menu also includes wagyu rice, which tasted too smokey for some. Service can be fast and mostly correct, as seen during a Friday visit with a party of eight, but timing may be slower at opening, with dishes arriving one at a time and long waits between. The server brought the check before the last order, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, handling last‑minute reservation and party‑size changes. The ambient design has hard surfaces that can make a high ambient noise level, especially when a World Cup game on the bar TVs. Despite the slow pacing, the quality of the food makes the visit worth a come back, with hope for smoother service timing on the next time.
