“Central & southern Asian food makes me happy. This is some of the best in Virginia. You must come to the buffet to try a few things, and come back with a date for supper. I typically enjoy lamb karahi but also many of the vegetarian options. The owners are very nice.“

“Ravi Kabob in Arlington is a great spot for Pakistani food. I tried their gol gappay and they are really good—fresh, flavorful, and addictive. I go there often now, and whenever I’m passing by, gol gappay is a must. The only downside is the price—it’s a bit pricey—but definitely yummy.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“Wanted to try something new during birthday excursion. redditors recommended this place. finding out that they had a buffet helped me ensure I'd definitely find something I like. but I actually loved EVERYTHING they had in their buffet once I got there. had multiple plates. If I lived closer, it would've been a regular spot for me. hope to visit again soon. would recommend to anyone.“

“This place has been around for ages and we’ve been going here since we were kids. The food is authentic (especially the chaat papri and mithai) and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Yes, it might need a bit of an update but keep in mind it’s been around forever. Great place!“

“We hired Akmal catering in Dec 2025 for June 2026 wedding. We visited their Springfield store front for food tasting and was wowed. Everything was delicious with true Pakistani flavor. We also loved the care to detail and was told they pack food at the end of ceremony for family as we all know we don’t eat when all is in play.
We just had our event 2 weeks ago and my guests are still raving about the food. We were able to customize the menu, price was amazing and there was enough food for our 200 guests. We never had to worry about quantity or quality. I highly recommend Akmal’s and will come back definitely. Beliw are very few pictures I was able to gather. May ALLAH swt give Barak to your business. Ameen!!!“

“I live in VA, but love to try different food. My second time here, because food was great. The girl serving was super too. Was not busy the time I was eating. After reading reviews, I wonder where people normally eat as most restaurants have a charge for sharing if they let you all. I like the quiet atmosphere to relax. Nice to be able to have a glass of wine & do that. The manager was super friendly too.“
