“Ever since this bakery opened, its been a childhood destination where my family regularly collects our bread at. I personally have strong feelings about it and its only now that I write a review about it. If you are looking for some good bread, this is the spot for you. Especially, if you would like to help a mom and pop shop.“

“My daughters first birthday was this passed weekend so i went here to order a cake because i love their tres leches. Showed a picture for inspiration of what i would like for her cake and it came out even better than i expected. When i saw it my mouth dropped!!! Super cute I’m obsessed!!“

“They had the Barcelona match on. Everybody was looking. Everybody was exciting for the goals. The food was five stars. It was absolutely good. I recommend her tacos. You should come Sunday and Tuesday because they have a 1.75 taco special Every week. The food and the Experience was wonderful and

“The music is fine and it plays to a level that allows conversation, there are seats outside for those who like to be al fresco early in the morning. I like the lighting and there is a combination of live plants and an artificial garland inside. I had the ube cake, croissants, the savory bun and they were great. I'm not a fan of donuts but friends rave about them. The coffee is excellent. If you eat in place they serve the pastries on China plates. Do you have a sweet tooth ? Try the vietnamese coffee. Black coffee is your choice - drip, expresso iced and hot are fine and mellow. There is an interesting choice of teas too. When it comes to the banana cinnamon cookie, not so great, took a bite and the prevalent taste was baking soda. Nice touch to combine salt and sweet on the cookie but the baking soda ruins everything. Tried the cookie at the other end and it had no cinnamon flavor. Stick to pastries and you will be safe. Should have got the hojicha roll not the cinnamon cookie but this will be for next time.“

“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

On top of the amazing quality, Richard is an absolute pleasure—he is genuinely nice, welcoming, and always helpful when it comes to making recommendations. “I finally gave in to the hype and went to try this $6 cookie.

The chocolate walnut cookie is a big boi, the form factor is half the point. The exterior has a satisfying crispy, buttery crunch that gives way to a doughy (but fully cooked) interior. Big, textured walnut pieces add a nice bite.

That said, it is quite sweet. The chocolate is overwhelming, even by cookie standards (though I understand it looks great on Instagram).

If I do try another cookie, I’ll be eating it in two sittings instead of one 🫡“

“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

“Besides delicious pastries, the best part of Boulangerie Christophe is the staff! Super friendly and kind to everyone who walks through the door. The gourmet sandwiches are a huge hit for my 15-year-old son too.“

“I’ve ordered 2 cakes now and consistently then have been 10 out 10 for flavor and design. Their cakes are cute and fun while tasting delightful- you can taste the real ingredients, and every bite is light but sweet without over doing it. The owners are also very nice, family oriented and accommodating. Highly recommend!“

“This place was an absolute gem during our week-long stay in DC. We visited it a whopping five times! We had such a great time, especially when we made a funny joke about breakfast for the next morning. 😂 Because we had already eaten it .“

“The food here was incredible and the ambiance is very nice! There is a nice variety of beverages, especially cold ones for the summer time. The staff were super friendly, especially Enrique, who came to chat with us. Although they weren’t doing seating service, the food arrived at our table very fast.“

“When this place is good it is excellent but there are times when the food and experience are just a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the French toast or bacon will be dried out or like it's been sitting for a little bit under the light but when it hits it really is the best. I've rated it four stars just because consistency is so critically important with a restaurant and we often debate if we're even gonna go because we know when it's not great it's just not worth it especially for the cost.

I will also say the atmosphere itself is fine and what you'd expect. It's at least very clean, which is important. Our favorite items are:
- the French toast
- the biscuits in general
- the fact that they have kids' portions and options for some of these“

“Overall good food. You can tell it’s a favorite for people because of the crowd. Service was very welcoming, with a very casual atmosphere. You can tell people go for the food. I’ve had Ethiopian food a couple of times and do believe their food is better. My wife got awaze tibs, while I got the special kitfo, a tar tar style dish. My wife’s was wonderful and I’m sure mine was good as well, but I know tar tar is not for me. Bottom line, if you’re interested in trying Ethiopian food, this would be a great experience.“

“We’ve always loved Baked & Wired’s goods, and we knew they would make the perfect cake for our wedding day. Of course, they delivered. Baked & Wired was very easy to work with and the cake was just right! Our guests loved it, and we can’t wait to eat the last slice on our one year anniversary!“

“Love the idea of a bread speakeasy! It’s a little hard to find though, they usually sell out of bread by noon, and the prices are pretty steep so I’ll dock a star for that. Recommend the Kouign Amann (5.80) and their cranberry walnut sourdough (13.50).“

“I can't believe that I have lived here for nearly 20 years, walked past this place many times, and just discovered it several weeks ago. WOW! The pastries and, cakes, muffins and croissants are excellent. Their homemade jams are wonderful. Their breads, quite yummy! I love their iced coffee , which has s a very subtle taste of cocoa. And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are. Amazing, spacious outdoor seating! LOVE this place.“

Dakota, Paul, and Kevin provided exceptional service from start to finish, they took the time to walk me through the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and even crafted a special drink just for me that was outstanding. The baked goods were absolutely delicious as well. Truly great hospitality all around, and I really appreciated the extra care they put into making the experience memorable. Highly recommend!“

“This has definitely become my new local coffee shop. It’s the kind of place you can go to every day before work starts—it has already become that for me.

The atmosphere is great; it’s a very easy place to get some work done or settle in with a book, and the outdoor seating is a huge plus. I love coming here in the morning for an iced mocha and their sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The seasoning is excellent and the food is always fresh.

The staff is super nice and they are incredibly quick with orders. I’m already planning on heading back this Saturday with my new read.
