“They knew what they were doing. Getting a spot right by the door so as customers are coming and leaving, they won't be able to help themselves. Well they got me!!! So I'm generally not even a sweets person and rarely do I have a sweet tooth, but for some reason after getting a wiff of that sweet cinnamon smell, I just had to stop by. I got a cinnabon and I haven't had one in years. I never noticed it has 880 calories. Maybe back then I didn't mind it. Guess you gotta treat yourself sometimes.“
“I loved this spot! We went around 4 PM on a Tuesday and it was lovely, quiet, and delicious. The staff clearly love being there and provided top notch service, with several recommendations. The not-pizza’s are pretty big, so one was enough to split when we ordered hummus, the carrots, and the olives too. We are so lucky to have this incredible Palestinian spot for delicious food, pastries, drinks, and even coffee!!“
“My wedding cake came out beautifully!! Everything i ever expected and more! I had 3 different layers with 3 different flavors, i had the chocolate cake with raspberry filling, the Jamaican rum with coconut filling and lastly the mango cake, the flavors were out this world, it was soo good and moist except for a little hiccup with the Jamaican rum but i called the bakery and they solved the problem the proper way. This is by far my favorite bakery and i will continue to come for every event i have.“
“The donuts are filled up soooo much and it was delicious. We were waiting outside til opening and wow, did the line get long! I am not sure if its always like this or if it was because of a race this particular weekend. It was a pretty quick turn around though. Wouldn't deter me from coming back. Would definitely get another donut and want to try their breakfast sandwiches!“
“Only the highest quality pastries from here! They also try some unusual flavors and textures to make the pastries unique as well. Prices reflect this though. Did I pay $7 for a danish? Yes. Have I ever had a danish like that before ? No! (In a good way) Caramelized onions and basil in a cheese danish that’s also perfectly flaky? I’ll pay the $7“
“I kept hearing about this popular cupcake place and finally came to try their Chai-infused pistachio and Almond Orange cream cupcakes. They were so good and just melted in my mouth! I appreciate that they also offer vegan options. The staff provided friendly service, and the ambiance was artistic - it felt like a comfortable neighborhood coffee shop.Vegetarian options: They have vegan cupcakes, and all coffee drinks are available with plant-based milk options.“
“The food was good, but definitely not worth $57 a person on a Thursday night….We ordered four dishes (fermented cabbage toast, arancini, thai fried chicken, and scallop crudo) and had a drink each. Portions were small, even the “entrees.” Will not go back anytime soon for dinner. Our waiter was very nice though.*Came back over a year later for dinner because of an InKind Coupon. The $50 off $50 made the meal more worth it. But still expensive for what youre getting.“
“One of the area's best bakeries! I make the effort to visit the variety of bakeries around this part of the county, and Mirabeau surely stands out as being one of the tastiest. Their attention to thick cakey goodness without over sweetening has me coming back for more.“
“We walked by this place not really looking to eat but the exterior stopped us in our tracks. We looked in and saw all the pastries and decided to make a quick pit stop. We got a Pistachio Meringue Roulette to share. Mistake. Should have gotten one for myself. The flavors work perfectly together. I also got the Strawberry Matcha to wash it all down and I’m still thinking about it. Wish they would bottle that stuff!“
“This is a family run business with all organic foods. The daughter makes wonderful desserts. Everyone is friendly and very attentive. You can have breakfast or dinner at anytime of day! They offer weekend specials that are always delicious! They run a small place with a big heart.“
“This location is a nice gem in Georgetown - I frequent here and treat myself when I want a delicious bake good - this past visit I had a delicious cinnamon bun - it was absolutely delicious and of course a nice cup of hot brew! Perfect location for the cookies as well - never too early or late in the afternoon for nice cup of coffee and a delicious bake good!“
“Stopped by for the first time and got the Normande tart. It was delicious. I also got a lemon cake, but we're saving it for later. The staff was friendly and very helpful. He recommended eating the tart a bit warm to really get the best flavor, and he was right. It tasted amazing. We ate the lemon cake for dessert, and it was very good.I will definitely be back to try the other pastries.“
“Amazing croissants. So flakey and full of wonderful filling. A great value! The mango pannacotta was amazing! The value for the price was fantastic as well! I briefly met the owner. The sweetest person you will ever meet! If I lived in town, I would be here ALL THE TIME!“
“Wow, I love this place and am counting down the days until my next visit! It's a good thing I don't live nearby or I would be here all the time! Pistachio croissant is amazing and coffee is on point! The staff is so wonderful too. Definitely pay them a visit if you can!“
“My beautiful grandson is in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital. Today as my daughter, her husband and grandmother arrived they were greeted with a delicious box lunch from your establishment. We’re not sure of the organization that gifted us this lunch so we say THANK YOU!“
“I visited the West End location with my husband while visiting DC and had a phenomenal experience. Aside from the food being absolutely to die for, the customer service is really what impressed me. At the register, we were greeted by an older black woman who was so kind to share suggestions and explain the menu to me despite being very busy. It truly made the ordering experience a breeze. My latte was delivered by a younger light skinned black male and I am not sure where he received his customer service training by but by far he’s got it down pat. After delivering my order he told me, “have a nice day, okay?” but it wasn’t just a pleasantry, it truly seemed like a genuine request. I am beyond impressed with the food, ambiance, and customer service provided!“
“Lovely little spot in Georgetown for authentic French baked goods. They use mostly French ingredients to get as close to the “real thing” as I’ve had in DC. Staff is friendly, efficient, and there is a nice patio in the back to enjoy your coffee.“
“We really liked this Persian bakery. Good product selection with even better service. The lady working at the store was kind and patient, made good recommendations, and made us feel welcomed as first time customers. Can't wait to go back and try the cafe they will open next door in the comming weeks.“
“Future patrons of Crumbl, beware. These cookies are gigantic mounds of addictive deliciousness. More like 4 cookies in one, we like to order the 4 pack, divide the cookies into quarters, then share each one. We can't go too often if we want to keep somewhat fit, but these are a yummy treat every now and then when the flavors of the week look irresistible.“
“We had our gender reveal cake made here and it was absolutely everything we hoped for! They did it exactly how it was requested and we couldn’t be happier with how our gender reveal went. Cake was delicious, would recommend! Thank you Pastries by Randolph for the wonderful experience <3“
“Chocolate pistachio croissant - 5 stars. so good and will be returning for this. Any place that has pistachio pastries is a place for me. Morning bun - very flavorful (cardamom & lemon) but a bit too dry for me. 3 stars Espresso & tonic - I did not like this at all, and will definitely get a safer drink option next time. There was a line at 130pm which I was surprised about, but it moved very quickly and we had no trouble finding a seat. Cute place, will be returning!“
“I decided to come here since I wanted a pretzel and it did not disappoint. It is a small place with only a couple of seats. I got the sweet pretzel and it seemed like a normal size for one person. It had a nice glaze on it and was super tasty. I would definitely go back and try another one, especially for the price. If you are craving a pretzel this place will satisfy your needs.“
“The selection is limited, but their breads are incredible. The cranberry walnut bread is the same bread found at le diplomate. My favorite bread is the black sesame harissa. Expect to wait in line. Only about three people fit in the store at a time, but it’s worth it.“
“This place is a neighborhood classic. They keep the prices low (by Arlington standards) and the decor is awesome "mom's kitchen throwback". May it never, never change. I don't love everything they make, but since they make about 87,000 different things, you can find something. Their emphasis is old style German baking with Christian and Jewish calendar seasonal flourishes. This is, for instance, the first place I ever had a "hot cross bun"-- like in the children's poems. (They had them for Easter). And they have a great sandwich bar where I always get egg salad. The quiches are good too. They have coffee and real German sausages that look delicious too. And a nice seating area in front of a huge window. There's always room. So basically, you could spend all day here eating, drinking coffee, reading, looking out the window, and planning your next meal. That would be a great day. (PS: parking is annoying but do-able)“
“Cute little coffee shop with the flakiest chocolate croissant I’ve ever had! Got there a few minutes after opening and picked up a still warm chocolate croissant, mango danish, and spinach feta danish? or croissant ?… can’t remember… Would definitely come back to try the other pastries !“
“The food was really good - couldn’t be faulted! Service was excellent too.My only gripe was the amount of single use plastic items in the cafe. Everything from the plate to the cup to the cutlery was disposable. We need to do better by our planet.“
“10/10.Very cozy place. You have to queue because it is always full. But I'm not surprised, since the food they make is incredible. The sandwiches left me speechless, to say they were good is a huge understatement. The hot chocolate they serve was also delicious. Ideal to warm up on cold days.I would definitely return to Washington just to have breakfast here.Great!!“
“I love Pasha Castle! All of the treats are delightful. The staff was very helpful, and we were able to taste test some things to help make our decision- which wasn’t easy with some many delicious options. The Pasha Special is to die for, and the Turkish Delight options make me feel at home. The only downside to this place is that there are limited seating options, and the atmosphere and design are very minimalistic for those who might want to eat there treats while here instead of taking them to-go.“
“What a delight! I wanted to try a new place and I’m so glad I stumbled across Sunday Morning Bakehouse! When I walked in, I was immediately pulled by the beautiful decor, high ceilings, and smell of baked goods and coffee. I was helped as soon as I got on the line and the staff that prepared my food and coffee was very pleasant! I saw some reviews about it being super crowded, which was not the case when I visited. I bought an decaf iced Oat milk Mocha was delicious and several pastries, like the croissant, chocolate chip cookie, and banana loaf was demolished by me and friends in minutes. I can’t wait to visit again!“
“This place is dangerously close to our place and my partner and I are obsessed. The raspberry and apricot cakes are unbelievably good--and I'm not even a fruity dessert gal. The chocolate cake is the best in DC and I'm dying to try the coconut almond one they have, but it's only for special order. Can't wait for the next occasion! Also, the woman who is usually behind the counter is always patient with me as I struggle to make my mind up about which slice to order every time! I <3 Sharbat!!“
“This place quickly became one of my favorites since moving to Maryland, and I would consider it a neighborhood gem. The service is great, the food is always fresh and delicious. Seating can be limited but they accommodate as quickly as possible in the bar area. Tables can be reserved ahead. I absolutely love their rum bun bread pudding as a dessert to go. Fresh oysters and their seafood bisque is an order for me every time.“
“Food is fairly fresh. They get your food out quick. I think their prices are not too unreasonable either for the area.My only complaint was I saw one piece of hair in my food. It wasn't my hair (different color) but that sort of thing happens when you order from a restaurant.“
“Outstanding organic breads and artisan pastries (Viennoiserie are tops!) make Fresh Baguette a go-to to enjoy exemplary French bakery treats, especially the savory Crogel (croissant sandwiches) and seasonal offerings like the Passion Fruit Croissant (summer) and the Pumpkin Cruffin (hybrid of croissant in a muffin shape during the autumn)! Gary leads a team of very personable and courteous staff that makes the Bethesda location a true star versus the occasionally brusque Rockville spot.Vegetarian options: As with most bakeries, the majority of options don't include meat.Parking: There are 2 spots in front of the bakery with a third one sometimes available and one more that is a temporary standing zone.Kid-friendliness: Wholesome treats that are attractive to burgeoning and refine palates alike!“
“This place is absolutely amazing!! The bakery items are so wonderfully delicious. The girls behind the counter go above and beyond being helpful. If the weather would have been just a few degrees warmer we would have eaten out on the little patio they have. But even the small seating area is comfy with little two top tables.“
“I got the chocolate croissant, and was really surprised when I realized it was a whole wheat croissant. The first whole wheat croissant I've ever had, and it really adds a nice nutty flavor to the croissant. The texture of the inside is also a bit chewier than your average croissant, with a lovely crisp on the outside. I just wish there was a bit more chocolate, but the croissant itself was wonderful, and I'm super glad I got to try the whole wheat. I also got a cortado, which was just ok. This is definitely a bakery first, so would highly recommend stopping by and grabbing some of the pastries!“
“Cute bakery spot. Its hidden in the back of the shopping complex but there is plenty of parking. Has nice options for baked goods (matcha flavored, pineapple bun, taro bun). Also have option for low sugar cakes with 6, 8, 10 inches. Has 4-5 round tables for seating as well.“
“These pretzels were absolutely delicious. We tried the original, garlic, onion, and jalapeño varieties. The pretzel roll was also delicious. Note that these are made to order and that you'll need to order from the website and they'll bring them out to your car. The yellow and spicy brown mustard were good, but I hope that they'll offer a larger variety of dips (including some sweet ones like cinnamon sugar or chocolate icing) in the future. Prices were reasonable and allowed for us to try some flavors we wouldn't normally order. The owner was friendly and left us with a positive impression.Parking: Parking available directly across from the entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: You can order and stay in the car. Full service.“
“I ordered a cake on Thursday at 1 pm to be picked up 4:30 pm on Friday for a birthday party. The man who picked up the phone was so accommodating and made sure that the customized message had the correct spelling of my name. When the cake was picked up, the lady was extremely lovely and kind. 10/10 would recommend and will be buying another birthday cake (very soon) from this bakery. I have also visited this bakery before to buy a n emergency cake and they have lots in the display case available. Perfect, delicious cakes. The one I got (raspberry chocolate mouse) was semi sweet and light, good for adults.“
“Great selection of Filipino baked goods, and an Ube and Pandan-lover’s dream. The donut was fresh, with a nice crust. The cream was smooth and light, though the pandan flavour was quite subtle.I loved the Baked Siaopao, a slightly flaky bread filled with pulled pork and egg.I bought the Ube Pan de Sal as well, and am so excited to try it!“
“Such a a great company with such a great product. The customer service was chef’s kiss! I gave them an idea of what I wanted, a few I spo pics and they hit it out of the park! I used these for a corporate event and it was a higher hit! Not only are they cute but they are SO yummy! Definitely using them again!“
“We couldn’t resist! Everything was delicious and unique! My son’s favorite was the strawberry cream filled pastry and mine are the black sesame bun (not pictured, devoured) and the tahini cookie AND the truffle and ham pastry. Parking at the National Building Museum where their pop-up is was easy! Seriously, you’ve GOT to give their pastries a try!“
“It was my first time coming here. Very friendly gentleman gave me fresh sangak . It tastes really good , thin and tasty. I eat it with feta cheese and sabzi. My favorite. It can also be a nice gift to your coworkers or boss. They’ll love it“

“I heard about Levain and was in the Bethesda area, so I had to make a stop. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit was amazing smells of baked goods and fresh coffee. The options are simple and straightforward. The staff was all business; get you in and get you out - order and move out of the way.I tried four different cookies. Were they worth the hype? Yes! Absolutely! Maybe some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. At $5 a piece, they’re expensive but worth the cost. I will definitely visit again when in town and look forward to trying other options and flavors. Thanks.“
“This is an Asian bakery and not European Style. That means much less sugar, very unique flavors, lighter and more flavorful. My daughter and I love the Soufflé and we call in advance. I love the artichoke and spinach, egg tart, and pork and onion bun. If you're open minded and want to try something different, then this is an excellent place. If you want fried sugar or baked butter/sugar then maybe try something else.“
“I discovered this little cafe on my way out to Great Falls for a hike. I stopped by for a coffee and croissant but ended up with coffee and a couple of other things entirely! It's a very cute café with a small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a pretty impressive assortment of baked goods here. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of labeling all food offerings on display with descriptions so that you can try something new! I have to come back and try the Nutella croissant, but the Kouign Amann was perfect! I only wish they had asked if I wanted it to be warmed up. I also tried the sunny side up Crogel and it was very good, although the bacon to everything else ratio was off (too much tomato, generous amount of Mayo, and a nice size egg. But not enough bacon!). I loved the croissant-bagel hybrid concept itself. Coffee was unremarkable but still very solid. I had a caramel macchiato. I will definitely make this place a regular stop for my morning snack before a hike!“
“This bakery was right next door to our lunch spot, and my mom was telling me this place makes great Latin American pastries, so after lunch, we wandered in here to take a look. I tend to like Asian pastries more, but the bread pudding slice caught my eye, so I gave it a try. My mom likes all kinds of pastries and picked a few of their pan dulces. I saw churros available, but skipped this time around. My bread pudding was delicious and my mom said her pan dulces are good. Inside the bakery, it was buzzing with people and there is also a hot food counter too. The prices are very reasonable here and I would definitely come back again to have their bread pudding and next time, will have a churro!“
“I found Sweet Almond at a wedding expo but used her services for a corporate event and she didn't disappoint. I ordered a variety of macarons and Leah was great to work with from the beginning! She was very responsive, accommodating, and even dropped of my order early. She's also so sweet and wonderful to work with. Her macarons were soo good and everyone also loved them. I will definitely be ordering from her again!“
“This is a wonderful place to find exactly what you need for your next baking adventure--but also to browse and discover things you didn't know you needed. Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff (who give great advice), and reasonable prices! I can't wait to check out their classes.“
