“I have never been so frustrated with this pension fund. I was approved inSeptember for my pension to start in October.Supposedly Oct and November check was mailed to me on November 3 or November 7 just depends on who u talk to at the pension fund This is December 1st and I still haven't received them.But December 1st pension check was deposited in my bank account. Way can't they do the same for October and November. I am at poverty level as for as income is concerned. It's my pension that I worked hard to get. I don't know what to do other than talk to attorney to g answers Where is my 2 pension checks and is how the pension works. U get it when we feel like giving it to you. I turned 65 in July 2022 when it was suppose to start. I didn't find the right pension fund until September. So the fund decides they can't or want go back to pay me.money that I work for. “Donut King saved the day for me today! I was in search of Wi-Fi for an important work meeting after my power went out due to the snow storm. I decided to walk 1.5 miles in the snow to the Starbucks nearby only to be turned away as they were only taking drive-through customers. Thankfully I decided to walk around the corner and found Donut King was open with free Wi-Fi! The employees were so nice and friendly despite the cold. I ordered a cappuccino and logged onto my computer just in time for my meeting. My coffee was hand delivered, along with several donuts on the house, which turned out to be the only food I had for much of the day. This was an unexpected and delightful treat. Thank you, Donut King, for making my day!! I hope others will read this review and give this place a try. The food is great and the warm and welcoming atmosphere is hard to find these days. “Ordered 4 sandwiches online for takeout based on the menu shown on the link in Google maps. 3 were great. However, beware that the Sicilian sandwich shown at that online link is a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. So we ordered a Sicilian but ended up with the Sicilian as shown on the board inside the store which is totally different. It was a ham, cheese, salami, hot peppers etc. sandwich (which my wife does not like). So I took a picture of the in store menu to use for future orders.“

The man who picked up the phone was so accommodating and made sure that the customized message had the correct spelling of my name. When the cake was picked up, the lady was extremely lovely and kind. 10/10 would recommend and will be buying another birthday cake (very soon) from this bakery. I have also visited this bakery before to buy a n emergency cake and they have lots in the display case available. Perfect, delicious cakes. The one I got (raspberry chocolate mouse) was semi sweet and light, good for adults.“

“The highlights:
- eclairs: not too sweet and very tasty with a nice filling and covered in dark chocolate. Would get these again.
- buttermilk biscuits: very crumbly and fall apart but very tasty
- cinnamon raisin bread: a little too sweet for my liking but tastes great and can't even tell it's gluten free
- chocolate croissants: I'm personally a fan but my husband didn't like them. It's a very dense dough with a bit of an aftertaste. They're quite heavy and very filling, but I still think they make for a nice treat.
- lemon tart: couldn't even tell it's GF. Tart and refreshing

The misses:
- chocolate babka: Babkas are known for their chocolaty, gooey goodness. While the bread is fine, they's BARELY any chocolate...this would have a lot of potential if they could add more...otherwise just feels like you're eating dry GF brioche or challah style bread

Another miss is the accuracy of orders. Last time, I placed the order because I needed GF bagels and added a couple other things. The bagels were missing from my order and instead of the carrot cupcake I was given cookies & cream. Hoping this was an off day.

Overall, there's a lot of necessity for GF goods in the area and I'm glad to have Rise. The pastries and breads can be a hit or miss but recommend checking them out as it's all based on personal preference.“
