“I picked up pastry last night, and wow, were they delicious! The shop is beautiful with a wide variety of sweets and breads, and I received a friendly greeting and great service, too. I was missing the previous bakery to occupy this spot, but Potomac Sweets will fill a need for a local bakery with lovely European style bakes.“
“Donut King saved the day for me today! I was in search of Wi-Fi for an important work meeting after my power went out due to the snow storm. I decided to walk 1.5 miles in the snow to the Starbucks nearby only to be turned away as they were only taking drive-through customers. Thankfully I decided to walk around the corner and found Donut King was open with free Wi-Fi! The employees were so nice and friendly despite the cold. I ordered a cappuccino and logged onto my computer just in time for my meeting. My coffee was hand delivered, along with several donuts on the house, which turned out to be the only food I had for much of the day. This was an unexpected and delightful treat. Thank you, Donut King, for making my day!! I hope others will read this review and give this place a try. The food is great and the warm and welcoming atmosphere is hard to find these days. “We were checking out at the garden center when we asked the cashier if the sandwiches at Old Town Market were good. He said he had tried some and yes, they were very good. When we entered the store the staff seemed much friendlier and energetic than when we've been before. We studied the extensive sandwich board and decided on a turkey with brie cheese. We got it home and it was way enough for two of us. The sandwich was delicious. The roll was just the way I love them, fresh but with a little chew. There was a generous amount of turkey that was smothered in melted brie cheese and a slather of sauce. It was so good. While we were waiting for our sandwich I noticed a "crunchy" vegetable salad which we decided to try. At first bite it seemed a little sweet--dried cranberries, raisins? Not sure, but it was good and after first bite I started liking it. Guess I just wasn't expecting sweet. Kensington is quickly becoming our go-to carry out lunch area.“
“I loved this spot! We went around 4 PM on a Tuesday and it was lovely, quiet, and delicious. The staff clearly love being there and provided top notch service, with several recommendations. The not-pizza’s are pretty big, so one was enough to split when we ordered hummus, the carrots, and the olives too. We are so lucky to have this incredible Palestinian spot for delicious food, pastries, drinks, and even coffee!!“
“My wedding cake came out beautifully!! Everything i ever expected and more! I had 3 different layers with 3 different flavors, i had the chocolate cake with raspberry filling, the Jamaican rum with coconut filling and lastly the mango cake, the flavors were out this world, it was soo good and moist except for a little hiccup with the Jamaican rum but i called the bakery and they solved the problem the proper way. This is by far my favorite bakery and i will continue to come for every event i have.“
“The donuts are filled up soooo much and it was delicious. We were waiting outside til opening and wow, did the line get long! I am not sure if its always like this or if it was because of a race this particular weekend. It was a pretty quick turn around though. Wouldn't deter me from coming back. Would definitely get another donut and want to try their breakfast sandwiches!“
“I'm lucky enough to live within a short distance and use Manifest as an excuse to take a walk with a reward at the end. Everything I've bought has been amazing and delicious. The prices are reflective of the quality and efforts that go into the final product. My go-to's are the apricot financiers, the fig and goat cheese sandwich (it's great warmed or toasted), and you can't go wrong with a cardamom roll. It defeats the purpose of my excercise a bit, but I'm definitely not complaining. The hours are a bit restrictive, but it's probably what's saving me from being there all the time ?“

I appreciate that they also offer vegan options. The staff provided friendly service, and the ambiance was artistic - it felt like a comfortable neighborhood coffee shop.Vegetarian options: They have vegan cupcakes, and all coffee drinks are available with plant-based milk options.“
“The food was good, but definitely not worth $57 a person on a Thursday night….We ordered four dishes (fermented cabbage toast, arancini, thai fried chicken, and scallop crudo) and had a drink each. Portions were small, even the “entrees.” Will not go back anytime soon for dinner. Our waiter was very nice though.*Came back over a year later for dinner because of an InKind Coupon. The $50 off $50 made the meal more worth it. But still expensive for what youre getting.“
