“Superlative tasting menu, top notch wine parings, outstanding service, from a staff that outnumbers the clientele, what’s not to like? Yes it’s small, so leave the soccer team meetup for the pizza place. For Lutece, bring your favorite couple or 1 or 2 very special friends“

“First time was on Sunday, 6/21/26, to hear a friend sing and enjoy their brunch. It won't be my last! From making a reservation to the moment I left, I had nothing but a great experience. It's easy to get to from Metro, and though I was dining alone, I didn't feel alone. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the decor very warm and inviting, and I spent more than I had planned because I was having such a nice time. I saw a diverse clientele, from couples to families celebrating birthdays, young and more mature like me. Recommend highly.“

“Best French Bistro. Very high quality food. Veg options plenty. Kir Royale on menu. Service outstanding. Bri the waitress was very good. Nice view of the waterfront. We liked it so much we went there three times during our one week stay. Very extensive menu. Look no further if you a high quality French food without pretension. We certainly will go back. Worth more than five stars.“

The food was phenomenal, and wine was well chosen for the list. Don't miss desserts (even if you're full).

“Today was my 1st time eating here and I came with my father for Fathers Day. My father had eaten here several times and wanted me to try it. I liked Le Chat Noir and would come back again. Reasonably priced for higher quality French food.“

“Al was an exceptional host. He made sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly demeanor and charismatic personality made the evening feel especially warm and welcoming. He also kept the conversation engaging throughout the night.
The food was outstanding — especially the duck entrée and the passion fruit dessert, both of which were highlights of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for its relaxed yet refined atmosphere and beautifully designed surroundings. The ambiance leans upscale with a low-key charm, so business casual to upscale attire fits perfectly.“

“The food here was incredible and the ambiance is very nice! There is a nice variety of beverages, especially cold ones for the summer time. The staff were super friendly, especially Enrique, who came to chat with us. Although they weren’t doing seating service, the food arrived at our table very fast.“

“I can’t believe I been sleeping on this place the whole time I’m in DC. This is my new favorite spot for food AND social. Their steak frites is some of the best in the city. AND I get it with a side of spinach. Their spinach is amazing and overall a great portion of food. Upstairs they have Lucy Mercer which is a super sexy lounge. Great for cocktails but make sure you eat downstairs before you go up. That’s the real experience. And the customer service is TOP NOTCH. Best in the city. Can’t say the same for anywhere else in the city. These guys are super nice and professional. High end all around for sure.“

“Last week we enjoyed dinner with Edgar Allen Poe. Okay, so maybe not the man himself- but about as close as I could imagine the experience to be. Dark, decadent, and full of surprise. We got to try their seasonal Poe themed menu, and it’s not just dinner- it nears theatre on a plate.“

“Lovely ambiance! We sat at the bar and had the three course menu. I was gluten free and the staff was so great about accommodating me! The food was very tasty with great flavors and texture. I really enjoyed all the courses. The beef was so tender and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert as well. The only downside was that we had been walking all day through the city and my phone had died. I was hoping they might be able to let me charge my phone briefly so we could get home but they were unable to do allow that.“

“A very nice place to eat in the National Gallery of Art
The Garden Café at the National Gallery of Art is a convenient and pleasant place to eat during a museum visit. It is located on the lower level of the museum, right behind the north entrance, which makes it easy to find when you’re ready for a break. The café offers a fair selection of food, including tacos, salads, and flatbread pizzas, with most entrées priced around $15–20. Our group tried the BBQ taco set, a salad, and two flatbread pizzas. The tacos and pizzas were a big hit and very enjoyable, while the salad itself was fine but the dressing was not really to our liking. Seating is spread across two rooms, mostly with four-person tables, so it works well for small groups or families. One room features a calming water element in the center, while the other is simply a nice, quiet dining space. The ordering process is easy—you order and pay first, then the staff brings the food directly to your table. The staff members were very friendly, and the food came out quickly, which was great when we wanted to get back to exploring the museum. Overall, the Garden Café is a solid dining option with good food, pleasant seating, and helpful service.“
