“Wow! One of the best meals we ever experienced! We arrived early for our 5 pm reservation and had drinks in the bar. I asked our bartender, Payton, to make me something novel and I was not disappointed. We enjoyed sipping our drinks in the beautiful, wood paneled lobby. Later, we went into the Conservatory, to find that Payton was also to be our waiter. We opted for the Chef's Tasting Menu with one substitution, since I don't eat beef. They happily complied and my wife and I enjoyed the most interesting and delicious meal. I am not an adventurous eater and there were one or two things I would not normally have ordered, but I would have been missing out on some exceptional dishes. And each course was artfully displayed. Add to that the great atmosphere: sitting in a beautiful glass room, surrounded by forest, in front of the fireplace, very attentive service, it all made for one of our best dining experiences ever! Thank you, Goodstone.“

“We had a really lovely evening here! The setting is beautiful, the wait-staff are great, and the ambiance is cozy and modern rustic. The foie gras is creamy and delicious, and there is so much of it (not a bad thing, please keep it all!!) that it definitely needs to come with more than 3 tiny slices of brioche. The scallop crudo was hands down the best thing we ordered--it was so flavorful, tart, and creamy! The mushrooms in the squab appetizer were awesome; everything had a delicate flavor and texture and was cooked perfectly. The lobster-salmon appetizer was pretty good, but what elevated it for me was the beurre blanc--holy crap, they nailed that sauce. The beef tenderloin literally melted in my partner's mouth--it is one of the best he's had, and definitely the best in the area. The dole with lemon-butter sauce was really tasty, and the addition of perfectly creamy mashed potatoes and salty greens were such a great complement; it was also a bigger portion than I expected, and I was pleasantly full after. My only request would be a better choice of desserts and cocktails; there were only a few things to choose from and they were all pretty basic--nothing called out to us. And the espresso machine was broken, so that was disappointing at the end of a meal that we had to drive quite a ways home from as well.“

“I was there recently with my husband and another couple, friends of ours for dinner. The place is gorgeous, and I would love to go back during the day to speak of the views, and I can only imagine they must be breathtaking.I can't speak of the rooms as we were at The Conservatory, not at the Inn.I feel like the road to get there needs more signs and more lighting, we had never been there, and driving up a windy road up the mountain at night was a little intimidatingOnce we found a parking spot, we didn't know which way to go as there were no signs, luckily one of the staff members was out getting something and we asked her and she kindly pointed us in the right direction. The young lady at the entrance is super refined and helpful. She walked us to The Conservatory. Once downstairs, the young lady at the front kiosk was super nice, took our coats, and led us to our table. Our waiter was trying his best. He still needed training, didn't introduce himself, and was a little short on his answers. My friend asked one of the staff ladies to get her the wine menu because she wanted a white wine to go with her meal and she kindly replied, I will have your waiter bring you the menu and the options we have.Several minutes later, there came our waiter with a bottle of wine and poured it for my friend. He didn't show her a list or anything. He just assumed that she wanted a glass of white, and he poured it... definitely needs trainingThe food itself was very good. We didn't choose from the Chef's special, as we wanted to try something different... appetizers were very tasty!I ordered the veal tammahock, cooked to perfection ; my husband ordered the tenderloin. It was very good, smaller than we thought, but the burst of flavor made up for it.Where I felt they fell short was on the desserts, not impressed on flavor and the presentation was just OK.Overall a 4 ???? out of 5 stars, assuming they will improve on the signage and exterior illumination, train the waiters, and improve their dessert menu.“
