“This was my wife's and I first time trying Hangry Joes! This is also a brand new location in Alexandria / Annandale area off of Little River Turnpike and we have to say first impressions WE LOVED THE INSIDE of the restaurant it new, it live, it's interesting and even put some of our favorite DC skyline in there too! This is a new building in the area and it was easy to get to and into the parking lot too! Getting your order in is easy as the have two digital kiosk's to place your order with an easy to navigate digital menu, they accept all forms of payment from Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, CC and debit cards. We were able to navigate the while menu and place our order in about 5-6 minutes since it was our first time we think that was great! Now the food first impressions IT SMELLS AMAZING! Like fresh fried chicken and the spices are WOW top it off with a lot of flavor. My wife and I got the 24 piece with in mild and lemon pepper, funnel fries, fries and fried okra! This was a great combination of flavors and WOW the mild has a lot of zing to it! Nice and spicy and IT CAN GET HOTTER they have a lot of levels of spice to offer from ghost pepper, habanero, hot and even down to just a bell pepper level hot. It is definitely a wide choice of flavors! The funnel fries are WOW just like funnel cake! Delicious and crispy for sure the season fries and fried okra is a great compliment to the chicken and they even give a little bit of sauces to go with the chicken DEFINITELY use the sauce to cover the chicken it is worth it! So if you're looking for something new in Alexandria / Annandale area this place is a MUST try! My wife and I will definitely be back soon :)“
“This is by far one of my all time favorite chick fil a's in the area. The food is delicious, the chicken sandwiches 80% of the time don't have that layer of fat cooked in it.This location compared to the one in seven corners is light years ahead.The service at this Annandale spot is great, the employees are friendly. The curbside is perfectly placed and is fast. The drive thru is also quick and great service.All in all this a great chick fil a.Thank you!“
“A KFC and a Taco Bell in the same place?! At the same counter!? Will wonders never cease?!Food was as expected, came quickly and was hot. Large fry portion is generous. “Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“
“Hubby and I stopped here before going to the movies as we got to the mall fairly late. Luckily these guys were still open as everyone else in the food court had already closed up shop. We ended up getting 2 pieces dark chicken and fries with mo’s sauce and their garlic sauce. The chicken was actually really juicy and the sauce were good the garlic sauce is very garlic with I love but if that’s not ur jam get then might want to stand clear.“
“Excellent food and customer service! It's the first visit and definitely not the last. Their food it's fresh and with a lot of flavor! We came as a large group and we all tried different dishes. The mixed grill (delicious), combo rice bowl (amazing), hummus (creamy and authentic), chicken (soft and flavorful) and stuffed grape leaves (tasty). Make sure you try both of their sauces, so so so good! Didn't get a chance to take a picture as we were eating as soon as the food touched the table :).The staff checked how was the food and if we needed anything during our visit.Overall, this will be our place to go for good food! You must try it, and you won't regret!“

I liked being able to dip in a variety of sauces too.✨️ Soy garlic fried nuggies: Boneless chicken = nuggies, This classic flavour was perfect and really brought the meal together. Their chicken quality will never cease to surprise me, every single bite is a perfect crunch and meat ratio.✨️ Bulgogi Bibimbap: Large portion with all the traditional fixin's that just hit the spot.✨️ Corn cheese: A side dish who can do NO wrong, always a fun cheese pull.✨️ Bulgogi poutine: These are definitely more like loaded fries, but absolutely so good! “The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating. The Peruvian Chicken was fabulous as well as the Rice with Cilantro and Lime and the Slaw Salad mixed with the Tomato, Cilantro and Onion Jalapeno. The food was fantastic.“
