“My husband and I found this little spot while out walking . We purchased coffee, bagels and decided to have a scone apiece. The owner and staff are so sweet and you can tell that they love what they do. It will be a regular spot for us to visit.“

“My two kids and I go here almost ever Sunday. The croissants are a huge hit with the kids and I'm obsessed with their Farro Salad (the dressing is very similar to mole sauce). Lattes are quite delicious as well.

Pricing is surprisingly reasonable for Georgetown which is a nice plus.

I really wish they would open a location at the Village Green in Crofton, MD. It would be a huge hit there and I have family that would like to see it there.

Some weekends it just gets too busy but I've only decided to give up once or twice. The host is honest about the wait (if there is one) - up to you if can handle the wait they give you.

Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu and offerings BUT we tend to just pick pastries from the counter. This is the better way to go because it is about all they can eat and there is always some decadent morsel for me to hoover up when they get full.“

“It felt like a beautiful fall afternoon. Where only a cup of mocha would make it better. I walked to a quaint coffee house at a corner of two roads in a V, across trees in orange and red. 8 green chairs and 2 brown benches put up in small circles under a canopy. There was a cute patio with string lights across, allowing just enough warm sunlight through horizontal patterns. Plants breathing in as they had been there forever. Murmurs and faint conversations followed.

I opened a glass door to enter as a bell above me rang. There were 3 baristas behind a counter creating art , soaking in some music. There was a huge menu on a chalk wall which I chose not to read. I knew what I wanted.

I walked to the girl with a huge smile behind a billing screen on the other side of the counter,

“I feel special”, I said.

“We have these 3 special drinks available today”, she said.

I looked at the 3 drinks and it just didn’t click.

“Do you like Matcha”, she asked.

“I like matcha”, I answered.

“We have a matcha inspired tea.”

“I like tea, but today feels like a coffee kind of fall afternoon. Can you make me a mocha?!”, I asked.

“Hmmm… Let’s get you a special Mocha! Maybe a baklava latte but fused for chocolate”

I liked what was going on in an artist’s head. Today felt special. I wanted that original piece. I wanted this artist’s monalisa.

The Baristas – an ensemble of 3 – had a quick discussion. They ran thru the flavor profile of this new drink. With precision, he blended coffee, with oat milk & chocolate. I stood by and  watched, my drink being made with special detail. And to finish it my drink had a latte art specialist. I breathed in anticipation.

They placed my mug on a glass counter.

“Here is your drink, let us know how you like it.”

I carefully threaded the coffee mug with two hands to my lips & took a sip.

As a half-Turkish guy who grew up in the area, I spent a lot of time going to the Vienna bakery Cenan’s and was sad when it closed.

BorekG was founded by some of the same staff (some of the bakers), but has its own vibe, and a much warmer, folksier feel to it.

It’s great - and it’s very much of the area, run by two generations of a Turkish American family, and serving up proper, homestyle dishes, and selling a ton of well-curated Turkish imports.

Get the borek of course (the name roughly translates to BorekMaker after all) but also load up on the sesame covered simit and the home-cooked specials of the day. Be sure to get tea, and be sure to have a chat — it’s a great, welcoming environment and great addition to the Falls Church area.“

“We got the gyro sandwich with a side salad, a side of fries, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and turkey sausage as the protein, and a medium cardamom latte and medium lavender latte.

Pros:
-location is easily accessible being next to one of the free garages in old town Fairfax
-Lattes were great tasting and great value for specialty flavors.
-Bagel wasn’t too bready and the ingredients of the breakfast sandwich had a good ratio. Eggs cooked well.
-gyro sandwich was tasty and the side of fries were really good.

Cons:
-breakfast sandwich needs some kind of sauce, overall combination is a little dry.
-gyro sandwich could use a little more meat. They also don’t let you sub fries for an up charge and make you buy a side of fries for almost $4. Would like an up charge option to sub fries instead of forcing me to pick chips or salad then order fries.

Overall, I would love to come back because it’s what I expect to pay and receive in terms of quality from a cafe in an “old town”.“

“This place is pretty innocuous but when I saw 1-10$ and 4.8 stars I had to drop by. The food is very good, especially for the prices. I got a steak and cheese and fries and it was tasty, but i also got mozzarella sticks. Maybe i am biased from the city selling a worse product for several times more but serious 6 mozzies for 3.50 theyre medium sized, crunchy, hot, and the sauce is really good. This is one of the rare times I find sometbing that is obnoxiously well priced and its a shame i live 20min away and cant come here as often as Id like. Please go here. Please try the mozzies. “My son and his soccer carpool practice at nearby Breneman Park 3x a week. At least 1-2x a week, I hit up Cameron Cafe for an iced coffee while I work in the cafe while my carpool practices or if I have my younger son, to get a smoothie or hot chocolate. Ms. LemLem and the other staff are so friendly and welcoming. The best part about this cafe is that it brings together community. There are people of all ages, from the infants with their caregivers or families to the school children to people working or socializing to the senior adults in the neighborhood. My son notices the diversity of the patrons and how they are all friendly and know each other by name. Ms. LemLem knows my son's order and is so nice to him, making him feel like a big deal for a special treat. They have a nice selection of pastries, grab and go or hot sandwiches, drinks, beer and wine and specialty coffee infused cocktails. Since I am working and driving kids, I stick to my iced coffee. There is great places to sit and chat inside (cafe tables, high tops, couches) and on the sidewalk patio (Adirondack high top chairs, picnic benches cafes). The restrooms are available and clean and the there is always a big group inside after work and school. There needs to be more spaces like this in the city of Alexandria!“

We had an unfortunate situation with another customer who was rather rude and made everyone uncomfortable.
