“Delicious crepes in both sweet and savory varieties are served up with excellent coffee in a small storefront hidden off the beaten track but still centrally located in picturesque old town Occoquan. I tried the Aunt Jackie - a sweet crepe filled with strawberries, blueberries and bananas and dusted with powdered sugar and Grandmas crepe filled with hot apple compote and cheddar (or cream if you’d prefer) plus the Nutella latte. Service is quick and friendly and there’s some limited indoor seating as well as plenty of outdoor seating areas (covered and not) to enjoy your food and coffee. On a weekday when I went, it was fairly quiet with most of the customers taking their orders to go. There’s street parking with time limits marked.“
“Came here for a coffee and quick bite. We were quickly greeted by Honey who assisted us with our questions about a few ethiopianDishes. We went with the fetira and croissant. “Best latte in Burke 10/10. This morning, I accidentally ordered a latte before the café opened. When I realized my mistake, I had to rush to my doctor's appointment and couldn't pick up the drink. I called to explain, and although it had already been made, I couldn't retrieve it until after my appointment. However, when I returned later, the kind girl behind the counter (didn't catch her name) kindly remade the latte for free. I'm grateful for her understanding and generosity. Thank you!“
“The first thing to notice is that they're 5 star is not ever heard of.Came in and was greeted with a hello and a nice smile. You could see the kitchen, and it was spotless along with the dining area. Limited menu, but less ite.s to chose from means food is fresh and cooked well.Order a sandwich, which was the best.“
“Pleasant experience! A little cafe tucked in a corner of a shopping plaza. The employee greeted us with a smile as soon as we entered the cafe and answered questions we had about their special desserts...one of them was a delicious and crispy baklava. I tried the cardamom coffee, loved the spiced flavors combined with my baklava. Nice, quiet spot to have a relaxing morning with a smile on your face.“

“I was in the mood for pancakes, but not really any decent places to choose from in the Gunston area. A quick Google search turned this place up, and boy was I happy to find it!! Pancakes were light, fluffy, and buttery and spot on. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. The young lady that took my order was very sweet. The establishment was very clean and well organized, which is the opposite of all other business park eateries I’ve been in. Will be going back often. :)“

“Just wow. I was in S. Korea for the last 2 years and this is by far the closest I’ve had to it. I came in and was warmly greeted and given time to order. I got the bibimbap and it was a generous portion. The food is made to order so you will always receive it hot. I ate in to see how they treat other customers and to no surprise the received the same amazing customer service. If I could give more stars I would. “Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or just drinking for the caffeine, this place is perfect for you. They treat every customer like family and will take the time to ask you about your flavor profile and what time of coffee you typically like and then they proceed to provide you with an amazing coffee experience with the most delicious pour overs to espresso based drinks you've ever had. Watching them work is an added plus. They pay so much attention to each step of the process from when they freshly grind your beans to when they pull your shot or make your pour over, you can see them deep in thought; fully engaged in the process. They are constantly rotating their beans, bringing in award winning specialty coffee beans from all over the world. They usually have the beans for sale as well in case you love it and want to take some home.“

“Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“
“Definitely a Hidden gem in the southern Maryland area. Since moving to the small town of Indianhead, I frequent this establishment quite often. The staff is always friendly, and I truly love trying out the "mystery lattes ". The owner is absolutely amazing, and is most helpful.“
“I've only been here once but it was such a wonderful experience. It was my first outing with a girlfriend and my little one and the staff really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Here and there, aside from our server they were checking on me and the little one, if she was ok or needed anything. I found that very kind and helped w/ my nervousness for taking care of little one during a day date in a restaurant.This is an uber late review. I was here during the holidays and the decorations were really cute and festive. Our server was Laila and she was very sweet and friendly. The food was great as well. I had the pancakes and my friend had the el presidente burrito w/ homemade salsa, both were awesome and homemade salsa stood out enough that my friend ordered some to go :D It's a great place to go that's family friendly, great food, and wonderful service.“
“We had heard about this place and decided to try them on our trip to VA this time on Sunday morning. Their menu is simple with a lot of avocado choices.My wife and I decided to order hot coffee, almond croissant and a cheese danish. Everything was fresh. Coffee was on the strong side but perfect for morning beverage.Prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.“

“I had recently ordered food for my daughter’s Annaprasanna ceremony from @Chat & More ( the veg thali) and we were truly satisfied due to their excellent food and service. My family and guests kept on praising the food quality, taste and quantity served. Each item on the plate comprising : ‘ Shahi Paneer, Samosa, jeera rice, choley, puris, gulab jamun’ were loved by the kids and the adults. Each and every food item was yummy!! “This place is adorable, but I was unaware it was inside the HMart (back right corner when you enter) it's a little cold since it's by grocery freezers so I don't really recommend it as a cafe to hang out or lounge in. But they do have some cozy table to do so if you like. I had a purple latte. They are like alot of other Korean bakeries in the area as far their tea, coffee, and bakery offerings, altho a little bit higher priced than some of the others I usually go to in Annandale. Castella loafs were $4 each which I buy often elsewhere. The staff is kind and was also wonderful at letting us and other shoppers know that all their breads were going on 50% off at 630 and it seemed to draw a timely crowd. Would not make a special trip for this bakery, but it is nice to know it is there and should stop by when I go to this HMart.“
“The deli is open at 5 am daily for breakfast and stays open until early afternoon. They have tons of food options that are delicious and very affordable. Every morning I stopped in and grabbed breakfast sandwich's for my staff. They get the food out quickly so there's hardly any wait no matter how busy they are. This is place is a wonderful little mom & pop shop that I look forward to eating at again when I come back in town. Highly recommended!“

“Had my car serviced nearby, so walked in without any real expectations- first checking to see if my pup was allowed in (she's small and very well behaved.) She was. Kudos to the staff on the service too! Had the latino breakfast with just egg whites (pup got the queso fresco) and fresh corn tortillas. Very well done, and the plantains were amazing. Super fresh & tasty. I could have eaten those all day. Everything was well presented and prepared. Definitely worth the money. The ambiance was inexpensive dinner hall chic, but the selection was definitely catering to the working crowd. Absolutely worth the time & effort to come here. Love the food & the helpful attitude of the cook/servers. Will happily return next time I'm nearby & hungry.“
“Cherokee Cafe is a deli style restaurant that is nestled in an office building on the 1st floor. I work pretty close so I've been dining here for lunch for quite a while, and had an extensive amount of options of food. It's a very hole in the wall atmosphere but hold the charm and the cooks and owners are very very nice. They don't mind explaining the menu and customizing to your needs. The main item I get for breakfast is the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant by far my favorite. As for lunch they have all of you necessary deli sandwiches, but daily feature rotating special that come with fries and a drink which is a price break from getting fries and a drink a la cart. My favorite special they have is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and special they run from time to time are the beef or chicken tacos. I love how they butter and grill the tortilla. If you are in the area for breakfast or lunch, and want some hot made to order food quick and fast. Stop in a support this local business.“
“This place is a great spot for a sandwich after a hike or bike ride at Laurel Hill trails or Occoquan Park. The food is good, but the service isn’t super fast. It is a pretty great place if you are hanging out with friends and don’t mind waiting a bit for food.“
“What a hidden, little gem the Secret Garden Cafe is! We stumbled upon it as we were passing through the area. We ate outside in the quaint “garden” complete with flowers and a lovely water feature! I ate the braised beef over macaroni and cheese while my husband enjoyed the stir fried noodles with chicken. Both dishes were delicious! The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed a nice, peaceful lunch! We will definitely stop back when we are in the area again!“
