Amazing experience.“

“Went with my boyfriend to grab a coffee earlier in the day. I had a mocha and it was perfect! We had to come back the same day later in the afternoon to get some sandwiches before we hit the road again. When I say these sandwiches were 10/10, I MEAN IT!!! Definitely my boyfriend and I’s new spot every time we come back to the area. Thanks guys! Beautiful cafe inside as well.“

“It’s been two years since I’ve been back here and I ordered the same lovely cranberry salad with warm goat cheese on top. The difference in two years was that the goat cheese was 1/4 of the original size. It made me sad. Servers were great. Outdoor location was wonderful. Food was just so so.“

Wish they had more kid options. Order the strawberry matcha it was ok. Couldn’t really taste the difference between strawberry and regular. Service was quick and staff was super nice!

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“Love this place! The staff is incredibly wonderful. Always so sweet and helpful. Always willing to answer questions, offer suggestions, and improvise when needed. Been multiple times and have always had a great experience. They also work their butts off keeping the orders cranking out. We have a gluten allergy and dairy allergy in our family so they are always helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating when we order. The space is adorable. You can feel the vibe that is a kind, loving, community space.“

“My son and his soccer carpool practice at nearby Breneman Park 3x a week. At least 1-2x a week, I hit up Cameron Cafe for an iced coffee while I work in the cafe while my carpool practices or if I have my younger son, to get a smoothie or hot chocolate. Ms. LemLem and the other staff are so friendly and welcoming. The best part about this cafe is that it brings together community. There are people of all ages, from the infants with their caregivers or families to the school children to people working or socializing to the senior adults in the neighborhood. My son notices the diversity of the patrons and how they are all friendly and know each other by name. Ms. LemLem knows my son's order and is so nice to him, making him feel like a big deal for a special treat. They have a nice selection of pastries, grab and go or hot sandwiches, drinks, beer and wine and specialty coffee infused cocktails. Since I am working and driving kids, I stick to my iced coffee. There is great places to sit and chat inside (cafe tables, high tops, couches) and on the sidewalk patio (Adirondack high top chairs, picnic benches cafes). The restrooms are available and clean and the there is always a big group inside after work and school. There needs to be more spaces like this in the city of Alexandria!“

“The food was quite good. The setting is nice. We got there around 11:30, were enjoying our lunch and company, then a very loud mower started up around 12:30, and it was pretty disturbing. Everyone around us was talking about it. Couldn't the mowing have been done before the 11am opening? Also, it would be nice to have recycling bins. All in all, though, I would go back and do recommend it.“

“Pupusas tasted excellent, made fresh and at an affordable price. I recommend calling in advance to order over the phone, waited 10-15 minutes or so but only because there was 5-6 orders ahead of mine. Variety of food, snack, and beverage options.“

“They had so many items to choose from - a lady helped me decide. The food was delicious! I got mochi mochi, and it was incredible. I got a strawberry latte as well and it was very tasty. Wonderful place to visit! :) They also have cute heart shaped straws. The prices were very good as well.“

“I was in the mood for pancakes, but not really any decent places to choose from in the Gunston area. A quick Google search turned this place up, and boy was I happy to find it!! Pancakes were light, fluffy, and buttery and spot on. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. The young lady that took my order was very sweet. The establishment was very clean and well organized, which is the opposite of all other business park eateries I’ve been in. Will be going back often. :)“

“On "Oyster Mondays" (from 4pm-close), there are specials on oysters: $1/oyster on a half shell, $16 fried oyster basket comes w/herbed fries, $16 oyster po' boy w/herbed fries. Also, M-F happy hour deals on drinks and half-price appetizers. We enjoyed excellent service from Janine (who is invaluably bilingual). The oysters were fresh, clean, sweet and briny. We have been to oyster specials at other restaurants and find that the quality at Wegmans Pub is always good. Outside happy hour or on the regular menu, the food is tasty and comprised of quality ingredients.“

“Usually First Watch is very good. Good food and good service. Kind of a slow wait, if you get there around 10am on Sunday. Unfortunately, Sunday, April 21 wasn't as good. Got there about 7:45am. Hubby and I got sat to the left of the bar area. Sat for about 10 minutes. A guy, by himself, got seated in the same area. He was served his coffee and his order was taken. I said to the server, "Don't forget about us over here." She looked over and then left. We waited a few minutes, then got up and asked to speak to the manager. He said sorry about that, we can seat you in another area if you'd like. I noticed the server starting out, then she turned around and went the other way. Not sure what her problem was that day. So we went to IHOP, got sat and served right away.“
