“Delicious crepes in both sweet and savory varieties are served up with excellent coffee in a small storefront hidden off the beaten track but still centrally located in picturesque old town Occoquan. I tried the Aunt Jackie - a sweet crepe filled with strawberries, blueberries and bananas and dusted with powdered sugar and Grandmas crepe filled with hot apple compote and cheddar (or cream if you’d prefer) plus the Nutella latte. Service is quick and friendly and there’s some limited indoor seating as well as plenty of outdoor seating areas (covered and not) to enjoy your food and coffee. On a weekday when I went, it was fairly quiet with most of the customers taking their orders to go. There’s street parking with time limits marked.“

“I know rating the place 5 stars seems too good to be true, but I’ve been going to this donutchew since they opened last year and it’s really become one of my favorite places to go. The staff are super friendly and really care about the place, the food is super tasty and the drinks are my end of week treat after a long week of work. My personal favs are the mango and early grey donuts (when they have the early grey, they have some flavors on rotation every week). The tea is very tasty, black milk tea or the orange fruit tea are my go-tos, and the corn dogs hit the spot when you really need it. I’ve spent hours sitting in there and studying as I eat and drink, and I’ve never felt awkward even when I’m the only one in the store. Many outlets for laptops, always seating available. They treat every customer like family and will take the time to ask you about your flavor profile and what time of coffee you typically like and then they proceed to provide you with an amazing coffee experience with the most delicious pour overs to espresso based drinks you've ever had. Watching them work is an added plus. They pay so much attention to each step of the process from when they freshly grind your beans to when they pull your shot or make your pour over, you can see them deep in thought; fully engaged in the process. They are constantly rotating their beans, bringing in award winning specialty coffee beans from all over the world. They usually have the beans for sale as well in case you love it and want to take some home.“
“Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“

“First coming here I was a bit stressed from the day and ordered my usual, a black milk tea with extra boba. The tea was sweet but not overpowered with the milk inside. They didn't use powdered milk, they used regular but in their options menu they could change out the type of milk if you asked. ( almond, etc) The drink came out fast. I sat down and it was already done which was quite nice. So I was able to sit down and truly enjoy the drink for a bit. The place itself was small but comfortable, with things to look at in every turn. I went down to the back hall and was greeted by the many artworks or phrases on walls from other customers. I had time to kill so I took some time to add in my own touch and although they only had two markers at the moment, they took the time to look around to see if they had any others with me asking. It was a very nice experience and I truly enjoyed it. It certainly made me less stressed. I would come back here again. :)“

We ordered: +a blanca Mocha - this was prepared very well; strong, creamy, and tasty! +a beef empanada - the exterior was a bit too thick, and I wasn't a fan of the filling flavors +a chicken empanada - the exterior was a bit too thick, and I wasn't a fan of the filling flavors +a Pollo sandwich - kind of like a chicken salad sandwich with mayo on a French bread; bread could have been less crusty and more fresh; the chicken salad itself was seasoned well and tasty; comes with shoestring potato sticks (I thought it came with fries); don't forget to request extra of the spicy sauce! +a Lomo Saltado - very generous in portions, this was prepared well and had great flavor; don't forget to request more of that spicy sauce! The spicy sauce, which seems like a spicier version of the aji, was amazing and a great complement to the food. Service was very friendly and kind. You order first at the cashier, and then just choose any of the tables. There also seems to be patrons coming in for to-go orders. “Got the brown sugar matcha since I like that flavor combo. Taste was there and not as sweet as I thought but I actually like that since boba is rather sugary in general. I've been here several times in the past and while cozy (small), it is nice and I never feel rushed to order. I really liked their Vietnamese coffee boba as well. The only thing is that pulling in and then parking can be a hassle and it's more out of the way from a bunch of the main eateries in Annandale but nonetheless an enjoyable boba spot in the area.“

“So glad that the O Bread location in Annandale re-opened so I don't have to go to Centreville. Also, it's nice to have more bakery options (even though there's already several, haha). My friend and I stopped by last week to pick up some pastries. So many delicious options, so I ended up picking four pastries. Most pastries are around 3.00, which isn't a bad price to splurge a bit for breakfast or snack. The MILK SHONG SHONG was good with a nice milk/cream flavor. I enjoyed both BLUEBERRY BUN and CHEWY BLUEBERRY BREAD (I think this one had a cream cheese center). I would get all three of these again. I also got the MATCHA STEAMED CASTELLA (has some red bean in it, too) that had a nice matcha flavor but the castella, overall, was a bit too dry. Definitely will be back to try more pastries and maybe some drinks. They have a variety of cakes here, too.“

“Been going to this Peet's for years near the library and the espresso drinks are always great! I like extra shots to sip on over time. That can make a drink bitter (and Peet's is stronger coffee than most anyway) but not with these baristas. Wonderful baristas here who are warm and funny. Really enjoy the "porch" area outside too where you can read/study or just chill, very relaxing space. Always fast service and kindness. Love this Peet's!!!“
“I came in late as they were closing and I made sure they would still be okay to make a drink and they kindly said yes. I kept it simple, coconut milk tea with regular boba. Didn't have too much coconut flavor so I may ask for more next time but boba was generous and it wasn't loaded down with ice. The two team members working were apologetic as they had a large order ahead of mine that they were both working on (didn't bother me, I'm in the industry I know how it can be). It all seems to be scratch made as well. I will definitely come back.“
