“It’s a magical place with magical people and things.“

“This is my go to coffee spot and you really can’t beat the price. Even when I add oat milk to my lattes my total is usually around $5.50- much cheaper than most coffee shops in the area. I love the brown butter toffee and the blueberry cobbler lattes. Some of the workers definitely make the lattes better than others- on a one off occasion my latte tasted like nothing as if they didn’t put any of the flavored syrups in. Their strawberry lemonade is also very good! In terms of sandwiches, I love the chunky dunk and my boyfriend is a big fan of the club sub- even claiming it’s the best sandwich he’s ever had. Ive been coming to this spot since they were a little shack down the street- I love it!“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“I went to this coffee shop for the first time the day before yesterday and the service was impeccable I asked for a recommendation and got a fabulous one from the barista that took my order. The chicken BLT sandwich was huge and the layout of the coffee shop is very big well thought out no complaints.“

“If i could i would give this place zero stars..but not an option. I was a new visitor to this establishment, and let him know that prior to ordering. Wanted the turkey (happy place) a drink and a scone. I get my meal and there is no turkey on it. So I got back and explained I wanted the turkey happy place. He said no you ordered the "our happy place". I said sir I even pointed to what I wanted on the menu. I didn't realize there were two items with the same name. He said that is your fault and you should know the menu. I said we'll I had let you know prior it was my first time here. He said I don't care if it's your first or 3rd you should know the menu. He said I'm not going to remake it., that's what you ordered. I said I would of never order anything with spinach because I'm allergic to it. He said so..I'm not remaking it! So not only did I have to wait a long time for thr sandwich, I couldn't eat it cause I was allergic to the ingredients. So I get back to my office hungry and upset to realize he didn't put the scone I paid for in thr bag. So I call and he says oh next time I will give it to you. No apology or anything. ..and next time, I paid for it this time. Very rude to new customers and would never spend my money there again. I don't understand why he was so rude. You think you would want to retain customers so they will do repeat visits.“

“I dropped in while having my car worked on in the area. It is a very cute and welcoming coffee shop! I was feeding my baby when they called my name. Instead of leaving my coffee at the bar for me to pick up, they were kind enough to drop it off at the table for me. Blueberry Muffin and Snickerdoodle Late are highly recommended if you’re looking for something sweet! Very pleased and wish I lived closer to this coffee shop!“

“A local young man made my day and I felt I needed to tell everyone about him. The past freezing cold week I dropped into Safeway @5:30 PM at Merchant Plaza to get some supplies. Upon leaving I observed another driver struggling to get his truck started. I got distracted and hurried to put my groceries in the car and return the cart so I could help the dad get his truck started. What I didn’t realize is that I left my wallet in the cart and worse did not realize it until 11:30 at night. Safeway was closed and would not open until 6:00 AM. We put all the credit cards on hold and was not happy about having to replace multiple IDs, and likely lost $300.00. The next morning I went thru the garbage cans thinking the worst and when the store opened checked the customer Service - would have to wait until 10:00 AM. Promptly called and discovered that they had my wallet, it had been returned by one of the Safeway employees - Alex! It took another week before I could meet Alex and personally thank him and give him a reward. Several visits to the store working with the manager Robert learning about Alex and discussing what a great deed this young man did. I am truly grateful for the young people Safeway hires and for the ethics and morals of this amazing young man Alex. Alex was a little bit shy, but understood just what I felt about his actions and how much I appreciated his kindness. I rewarded Alex with some cash…. Really feel great about our neighborhood Safeway and its employees!“

“While visiting family they took me here for lunch, the place is so beautifully decorated and clean. The volunteer who took our order was super friendly and you could feel the passion as they spoke about the business and how their mission is to help the less fortunate. I cannot wait to visit again to drink more of the qaiymoq chai and eat the steak & cheese! 😋“

We have a gluten allergy and dairy allergy in our family so they are always helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating when we order. The space is adorable. “I was in the store today with my two year old for a quick snack. We were sitting down and soon my toddler started to cry over who knows what...I tried everything to guess and calm her down but she wasn’t having it. I was ready to pack us up and leave so we didn’t continue to disturb everyone in there when one of the employees, Sunni, came over and sat at our table. She spoke so sweet and calm to my daughter who stopped crying and also generously brought her an apple juice and cake pop to stop the tears. “The best hidden gems always have the best food, and this spot proves it! Great prices, chill atmosphere, and super friendly service. The food was so flavorful—fish tacos are a must and the margaritas hit just right.

We tried a few other menu items and everything was on point. Honestly, I almost don’t want to share this place because it feels like such a secret, but they deserve the love. I’ll definitely be back soon… and bringing friends!

I would make rather come here and or drive out of my way for great customer service and product. Its never rushed and always correct!“

“This Starbucks is good, but I think the Starbucks at the Fort Belvoir Town Center is a bit better. The chicken waffle maple sandwich didn't taste great here. My drink was good, but not as good as the same drink that I got at the Town Center. The upside is that it was easy to order in the app, my drink and food were ready quickly, and the employees were nice.“
