“I ordered here every morning as a full-time student with a rigorous course load! They usually are very quick to make the drinks I order online and are friendly to me and the other customers there. However, occasionally they make the drinks wrong and refuse to acknowledge my existence despite being a regular there. Ultimately, they do have speedy service for online orders and typically provide exceptionally-made drinks.“

“My son and I love going to this Duck Donuts location. The staff is wonderful, and make the donuts in a quick amount time. I love that they make them fresh, so they have a nice fluffy texture to them when you bite into them. They definitely surpass other donut chains.“

“It is a standard McDonald's. More times than not, you get hot fries and a warm burger. I despise this place when the put an attendant in line to take your order as I don't always order the same thing and they don't have a menu with them.“

“We had Ethiopian Drip Coffee and are satisfied. The raw honey we bought is fantastic. We were passing through and the price-performance ratio of the coffee was very good. Very nice service!

“I dream about their pistachio Cold foam, it’s literally so delicious on top of a strawberry Matcha . I also always ask for the pistachio nut topping because I think it just adds to it and I love a little crunchy topping!! It does take a little bit of time for me to get my food/drink whether it’s busy in there or not because I think they do a lot of online orders. But love it!“

“It felt like a beautiful fall afternoon. Where only a cup of mocha would make it better. I walked to a quaint coffee house at a corner of two roads in a V, across trees in orange and red. 8 green chairs and 2 brown benches put up in small circles under a canopy. There was a cute patio with string lights across, allowing just enough warm sunlight through horizontal patterns. Plants breathing in as they had been there forever. Murmurs and faint conversations followed.

I opened a glass door to enter as a bell above me rang. There were 3 baristas behind a counter creating art , soaking in some music. There was a huge menu on a chalk wall which I chose not to read. I knew what I wanted.

I walked to the girl with a huge smile behind a billing screen on the other side of the counter,

“I feel special”, I said.

“We have these 3 special drinks available today”, she said.

I looked at the 3 drinks and it just didn’t click.

“Do you like Matcha”, she asked.

“I like matcha”, I answered.

“We have a matcha inspired tea.”

“I like tea, but today feels like a coffee kind of fall afternoon. Can you make me a mocha?!”, I asked.

“Hmmm… Let’s get you a special Mocha! Maybe a baklava latte but fused for chocolate”

I liked what was going on in an artist’s head. Today felt special. I wanted that original piece. I wanted this artist’s monalisa.

The Baristas – an ensemble of 3 – had a quick discussion. They ran thru the flavor profile of this new drink. With precision, he blended coffee, with oat milk & chocolate. I stood by and  watched, my drink being made with special detail. And to finish it my drink had a latte art specialist. I breathed in anticipation.

They placed my mug on a glass counter.

“Here is your drink, let us know how you like it.”

I carefully threaded the coffee mug with two hands to my lips & took a sip.

“My husband and I found this little spot while out walking . We purchased coffee, bagels and decided to have a scone apiece. The owner and staff are so sweet and you can tell that they love what they do. It will be a regular spot for us to visit.“

“Amazing coffee, pastries, sandwiches and breakfast croissants. We have coffee shops in Old Town that are closer to us but make the trip to Grounded because it's that good. When my husband and I were planning our wedding, only one place came to mind for dessert to wow our guests. We didn't want a traditional cake, we wanted something that would have everyone asking us where we got the desert. The items we selected were a hit and recommend for not only visiting but catering.

The coffee shop itself is comfy and cozy. It gets busy on the weekends so make sure to go early if you want to get a breakfast croissant.

Kid-friendliness: There aren't any dedicated spaces for kids, but I brought my 4 y/o and it was fine. I saw other families with strollers, as well.“

“Everything about this coffee shop is fantastic. The coffee was delicious and prepared with expertise, a great place for a cappuccino. They make sure to ask if you’re dining in because they will serve your drink in a ceramic cup, I love that.
Great pastries as well, I’m not sure if they’re made in house but they’re impressive.
Wonderful environment, lots of seating options, as well as ice water out and available for you.

“1. Food Quality (5/5): The coffee, as expected, is excellent; however, you should definitely consider also ordering some of the food. The Basil pizza is truly incredible.

2. Atmosphere (5/5): The place is spotless and has an interesting industrial sort of vibe. This is a great place to read books or work on school/work projects.

3. Service (5/5): The workers are quite friendly and industrious. The coffee and food are prepared promptly. The only negative experience is that it's not always clear which items belong to whom. For instance, multiple drinks will be placed in the deliverables area, but without any mention of what they are.

4. Menu Variety (3/5): Fairly limited. Coffee options include the obvious, like: Espresso, Lattes, Cappuccinos, Mochas, etc. This is a great place for good coffee, but there's nothing unique.

5. Value for Money (1/5): If you are only looking for good pre-made specialty coffee drinks, then this place is a 5/5. When it comes to the available specialty coffee beans, there are better options at far lower price points. This place is very aggressive when it comes to tipping, as you can only choose between ridiculously high values or no tip at all. This is especially true when it comes to buying the beans, which doesn't involve any labor on the worker's part besides ringing the item up.

Parking: While there are plenty of spots available, most of the spots near the store are taken, which could be a concern for those with mobility issues.“

Unfortunately, too much use of plastic (we explicitly asked to get our drinks served in mugs and were promised for it to happen, but then still got everything served in plastic).

“I love Sweet Leaf Vienna! I recently ordered a large order for a work lunch and everyone was happy with their food. Lots of delicious and healthy choices, including salads, sandwiches, and grain bowls- something for everyone. Their frozen yogurt and fruit smoothies hit the spot on a hot day. “Came here twice. They have American style food and Korean style food. Their food were good both time. Coffee was good as well. The space is clean and spacious and bright. Best cafe I have been to so far.

As a half-Turkish guy who grew up in the area, I spent a lot of time going to the Vienna bakery Cenan’s and was sad when it closed.

BorekG was founded by some of the same staff (some of the bakers), but has its own vibe, and a much warmer, folksier feel to it.

It’s great - and it’s very much of the area, run by two generations of a Turkish American family, and serving up proper, homestyle dishes, and selling a ton of well-curated Turkish imports.

Get the borek of course (the name roughly translates to BorekMaker after all) but also load up on the sesame covered simit and the home-cooked specials of the day. Be sure to get tea, and be sure to have a chat — it’s a great, welcoming environment and great addition to the Falls Church area.“

“We were in the area and saw this coffee spot and thought we’d stop by. Glad we did! We were the first ones in and had the place to ourselves (for a little bit anyway). Delicious food including the best everything bagel with cheese, egg, and bacon I’ve ever had! First time I’ve ever thought about going for seconds. My caramel latte was fantastic too. Service was so friendly and fast. Very clean and they have wifi. They have a menu with suggested prices, but no cash register— they work off donations, so you pay what you can. For those like me who are perpetually cash-challenged, they thankfully accept phone tap payments such as Apple Pay.“

“This is a great coffee shop, but it has one critical flaw - the place is very cold. I'm here in late February, and everyone in the place, including myself, is wearing a coat. I asked one of the employees what the thermostat was set on, and she responded, somewhat rudely, that she didn't know. She then said it was on auto. Not helpful and no pretense of addressing the issue. Still, the coffee is great and the service is excellent. I look forward to returning regularly when spring arrives.“

“Picked up a nitro cold brew for the road after a stop at Costco. I also picked up a bag of Guatemalan coffee beans. I look forward to future visits to try some breakfast & lunch sandwiches, as they look great! Cool atmosphere and great friendly service.

“Huge shoutout to Diego. They happen to be working every time I come in, and I rarely come in. It's really funny how we have the same name. I don't really like starbucks drinks or food, but Diego is a great example of how great customer service is what makes people keep coming in.“

“Not only is their esthetic so calming and perfect for a slow morning coffee and read of a book, but the coffee is so good! I’ve only just had either black hot and iced coffee, and both are so good. Beans aren’t burnt and the overall coffee flavor is the right amount of bitter and sweet. A cappuccino is next on my list, but you know a coffee place is doing it right if just their black coffee is great!

Bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel is a classic! Just YUMM! Every worker I’ve encountered have been so kind! Even on their busy days, you don’t feel like they’re rushing you.“
