“The leadership at this location engages with their team in a manager that encourages growth and community. The staff welcomes customers upon entering the store, and I love the recent renovations. There are enough regulars that visit this location that there is an added layer of community that is easily witnesses. The music is fantastic but not too loud. And I can count on fresh, hot food and drinks. The dining area is spacious compared to the location on King Street and it's clean! The bathrooms, however, are not. No matter how early or what time of day, they always smell like urine. There are not toilet seat covers, and there's often no toilet paper. It's a super busy location, so maybe the manager needs to hire an outside company to clean them. I still recommend the location; just be prepared for limitations in the restrooms.“

The manager and staff are so kind, they truly check in on you and make sure you are taken care of.

The food is fresh and so delicious! The drinks are good as well!

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“

All three of my kids loved the breakfast sandwich and the yogurt. I got an iced coffee with cardamom. very good. my only complaint is that it took a little while for the sandwich to be made, but it was made fresh.“

“very cute! i’ve been to other mamans and this location was just as pretty. it was a little crowded and chaotic, but expected for a sunday after a major holiday, and the staff were friendly and turned tables around quickly. the atmosphere was a little overwhelming for me and i wouldn’t be back on a weekend, but i wouldn’t mind checking it out on a weekday.

the ratatouille was very delicious— more of a stew consistency and the herbed feta was SO tasty. i only wish it wasn’t just a weekend exclusive. the quiche sarah was just okay. not bad but i wouldn’t pay ten dollars for it again. the food lacked salt but was otherwise good. the iced banana matcha was really tasty and the presentation was great!“

“I’ve been to SOST twice now and I’ll be making it my third this Friday without a doubt. I’ll tell you this was a top tier experience from beginning to end each time I’ve come, but this time particularly takes the cake. The ambiance is so unbelievably warm and vibey, the real standout has to be the music mix and the way it really transcends your dining experience truly. I was sitting in Michelle section and she was such a doll! I felt taken care of and catered to the whole time

“Charming smaller restaurant with friendly service, a very good wine list and delicious food. Once you find street parking, you can choose from several small tables on the street or comfortable seating inside this very attractive restaurant. There were three of us having dinner which consisted of Gnocchi, Chicken Milanese and an outstanding pork chop with caramel sauce. This restaurant really is a neighborhood gem. The noise level is high, but that is the only negative thing that I can think of to say.“

“We love Grounded Coffee! What's not to like!?! The place is cozy and I love the decor. But the food is the real star. Everything is delicious and so French! The pastries are perfect, the quiche and jambon beurre my favorites, and the pain au chocolat always a hit with our family! In addition to stopping by the cafe for quick foods and drinks, we have also ordered catering from them multiple times. Best decision ever! Chef Sebastien is great at communicating and creating wonderful menus, and the food is always spectacular!! We recommend Grounded Coffee to all our friends!!“

“The gelato I had was absolutely delicious! While it wasn't as creamy as Pitango's, I really enjoyed the variety of flavors they offered. I ordered a three-flavor cup and chose Black and White Cookie Batter, Dark Chocolate Fudge, and Dulce de Leche Chip. Each flavor was delightful! The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign considering its prime location near shopping stores and not far from Chinatown. There was plenty of seating available for customers to sit and savor their treats or coffee. Despite the crowd, the cashiers did an excellent job attending to everyone and even offered samples.“
